  1. Hello there. Please let me introduce myself: Name: Unorecchio Gender: F Height: 164cm / 5'4" Weight: TBA BMI: TBA Body fat %: TBA I am unsure at the moment of some of my stats but will update when I've got them. I am a little late as it's taken me a while to write this up, but I am very ready for a challenge. I did one earlier this year through my gym that went for 12 weeks and got a lot out of it (to be honest, I was pretty happy that I made it through the entire 12 weeks without losing interest or giving up). My gym has another challenge coming up soon, but I am going on a holiday to Europe in December which means I will miss the last few weeks of the challenge. It also costs money, which I would rather save for my holiday! I decided to join on here instead, which is something I have been wanting to do for a while. I have stuck with going to the gym fairly regularly, but my eating habits went downhill during winter. Since it is now coming up on summer here (Australia) and I'm soon going to have to get my body out from under all these warm clothes, I feel it's a good time to start being more committed to my fitness and nutrition goals (Well... It's probably always a good time for that, but I'll take whatever motivation I can get). Quest 1: Log those meals Log all my meals into MyFitnessPal at least 5 days per week I find MFP pretty useful for keeping accountable and being mindful of what I eat. I used it for the entire 12 weeks of my gym challenge, but since then I have been pretty lazy with what I eat. I always try to be fairly healthy, but MFP will help me take it up a notch. My aim isn't to reduce my calorie intake dramatically, but rather make sure my macros are up to scratch and I'm getting the most out my food. I can get into a bad habit of snacking on sugary food which then just makes me suffer more once my glucose levels crash and I become a weak, starving, hangry monster. I definitely function better when I eat smaller meals more often. Anyone else using MFP can follow me here. Quest 2: Go to the gym!!! Go to the gym at least 3 times per week I have a standing personal training session once a week, so that is one down. I go every Saturday morning to do the program the PT has written up for me. There's the second down. That just leaves one more day to go, but it always seems to get away from me. I want to make finding that extra day per week a priority. Quest 3: Get outside! Do some sort of exercise outside of the gym once per week for at least 30 minutes. I am going pretty general with this - it could be a hike, a bike ride, swimming, sport, running... Pretty much anything that is not lifting in the gym. I play a game of netball once a week at the moment, but the season finishes in 2 weeks so I want to fill that gap with other activity. Side Quest: Simple socialisation for the introvert Start a conversation with someone at least 1 time per week Sigh... I fear this will be the hardest. I am horribly shy. I hate making eye contact. I have a tendency to hunch over and keep my eyes to the ground. If I stay small and don't look at anyone, they can't see me right? Well, apparently not. I have let myself get into these unsocial habits and I need to make some better ones. I will start this slowly. It will probably just be with co-workers in the lunch room (I can't see myself starting a conversation with someone at the bus stop or supermarket just yet). It doesn't have to be a long conversation, just 'How was your weekend?' or 'I really like your shoes!'. For some reason, I have started to avoid even these type of simple interactions but I never lose anything by taking part. I'll just fake it 'til it's not hard anymore.
