I love your challenge goals @Kalitraz because they are personal, and because you include what might appear as "little things," but you and I both know that little things make a big difference.

Here to follow along and offer a little more support. Would love to have you in the shield wall any day! Thanks for posting some of the resources and references you are working off of too. They will definitely be going into my collection to review and incorporate. Your Smarter and Calmer challenges really resonate with me. I plan to work towards stronger and faster too but that might be a challenge or two off for me. Best of luck, I'm here for it and the epic reference/inspiration gifs.
Welcome @Kalitraz. It would be an honor to battle by your side. I am glad portions of my challenge resonate with you. I have learned so much from the great people of this rebellion, so I am happy to hear my challenges are helpful, as well.
I read through your challenge, and I admire your transparency in some of the issues you have been struggling with. It is inspiring to see someone work through very personal challenges and remain hopeful. That is the real battle. And it is an honor to fight along your side.
To battle!

Been juggling work, challenge/exercise stuff, the fact that I'm reading 3 nonfiction books concurrently, mom-ing, learning Japanese, reworking my budget, and the normal self care shit like showers and journaling and feeding myself
You're a badass mom!

Yeah, it's kind of a bummer here, too. But we needed the rain, so there's that.
Good to see you back this challenge, btw.

This is Wisdom, which is sometimes less comfortable a comfort.
I like that expression. I also try to take things more slowly when I travel. It's not easy with kids, but I'm content just swimming in the ocean or sitting on a rock over a gorge, meditating. My kids want to "do" stuff, which is great but also exhausting. You know the feeling when you need a vacation from your vacation.

Catherine Keener, who is one of the most underrated actresses around. Meryl Streep tier actress.
Wait... so I'm not the only one who thinks she's underrated? Do you know how excited I was that she was the love interest in 40 Year Old Virgin? And her performance in Get Out is genuinely unnerving. And did you see her in Into the Wild as Jan?

Did go for an extended walk yesterday, and while I ran into some time constraints, I did do a strength workout. Just one circuit, but that's better than no workout. And I did yesterday's DailyDare exercise, so now I'll have to be consistent and keep doing them... 😇
(Bonus points if you read that in his voice).

What a coincidence! My daughter's first crush was also MacGuyver... just not the same one.

That sounds yummy!

Following! Awesome to hear about the mortgage being paid off. My wife and I inherited my great grandmother's house, which was built in the 1950's, and remodeled it in 2020. It is fully paid off, but it is in my mother's name. We are in the process of changing that soon. We are far from debt free, however, since my wife and I both have student loans.
Good luck on your challenge! Let me know if I can help in any way.

W1D2 (Monday):
- 0415 wakeup
- read scripture using the Lectio 365 app
- read a few pages of Anam Cara, as well as a poem W.S. Merwin titled "For the Anniversary of my Death"
- sat in quiet contemplation for 10 minutes
- completed Monday workout; managed to complete all 5 sets after being tempted to stop halfway through the fourth set.
- completed the daily requirements for Duolingo
- listened to an episode of the Mind Pump podcast
- took my dog for a walk as the sun was setting
- stopped eating at 7 pm; plan to break fast at 11 am Tuesday
- read the first chapter of The Four Agreements before bed
I'm also trying to put into practice the 10-3-2-1-0 rule: no caffeine 10 hours before bed, no food 3 hours before bed, no work 2 hours before bed, no technology 1 hour before bed, and then 0 is for number of times I will hit the snooze button in the morning. This Youtube video explains it briefly:

Hello dear fellow nerds, I hope you are all well. I've been wanting to come back for a while, and almost didn't when I heard my gran passed away last night. But I figure nobody here would mind me sitting silently at the end of the bar to drink an apple cider while entirely overdressed, as she would always be. ❤️

Sorry for your loss. Lost my gramps near six years ago. Toughest moment of my life, like losing a part of myself. You're welcome here amongst other soul-weary travelers.

I sat down and brainstormed an intermittent fasting plan for this challenge, as well. I want to be able to eat after a strength workout, so I organized the schedule around those.
Monday 7 pm - Tuesday 11 am (16 hours)
Wednesday 7 pm - Thursday 11 am (16 hours)
Friday 9 am - Sunday 9 am (48 hours)
Feast mindfully on Sundays
Even on non-fasting days, I will not eat past 7 pm
If you're interested, there is a pretty good article that you can read here from Johns Hopkins Medicine about how intermittent fasting works, as well as an episode of Andrew Huberman's podcast (posted below, if you have 2 1/2 hours to spare).
I also recommend following Thomas DeLauer, who has mostly become known as the apple cider vinegar guy and focuses a lot on eating Keto but does share some info about intermittent fasting.
They key for me is body awareness; I like fasting, and I see the value in it. However, I am also mindful of my body and the triggers that I often mistake for hunger, while also staying mindful of body warning signs that signal an actual need for nutrition.
