  1. So for example, say I fasted from 8 am to 4 pm. During 8-4 pm, should I work out? (My goal is weight loss). As I understand it, working out in a fasted state allows one's body to utilize fat instead of carbs/sugars? I'm also having trouble on when to start eating if I were to say...workout for an hour from 3pm-4pm. Would I have to wait for an hour after working out to make sure my body used my fat stores? Or should I wait longer than that? Thanks for reading.
  2. Also, this thread seems to be helpful-especially the 3rd post by Tom! http://forum.whole30.com/topic/5652-portion-size/
  3. Here's a helpful link I've found that you might be interested in: ThePaleoMama
  4. Will do! I'll try and look around now and see what I find.
  5. Hey blackops! Thanks so much for the link! Also, -high5- towards our new paleo lifestyle. Yeah that makes sense about not counting calories. I guess what I'm looking for is like..portions. For instance, you mentioned that you try to keep within 2 handfuls o veggies and one protein/fat source which I'm guessing is for each serving. I've always been taught at school that the size of our fist equates to how much meat we should typically consume. I'll definitely give that another read and see if I can find some sort of portion guideline. Thanks again!
  6. So, how much animal do you consume per serving or in a day? I'm mainly confused because I've read that protein shouldn't be the main source for energy but that 'fat' (olive oil, etc) or 'animal fat' should be our main source of energy. With that being said, how much fat should one typically consume on average? I'm on day 3 of my new paleo lifestyle, so guidance and help is much appreciated! : )
