I feel you on the treadmill, I always enjoy raising and lowering my pace...almost like I am torturing myself lol..and there is always some random odd TV show to watch that I know I would never watch if I had a choice...considering I don't have cable at home that is about all I get Great job on your goals!! Keep it up!
  5. Hiya everyone! Just wanted to see how everyone is doing ! I am doing great ...I have lost almost 5 pounds since the beginning of the challenge! @ Cynnister ---Soda is my crutch so I feel your pain, we cannot keep it in our house because I will drink it constantly!! I love diet coke but am trying to substitute it with teas but it is just not the same..I am having more luck with flavored and unflavored carbonated water...maybe it is the bubbles but they seem to give me some satisfaction. Well it is Bed time!!!
  6. Well, this has been a week of ups and downs So to start with I am 171.8 Yay!! *does a little dance* I passed my last Air Force PT test today with a AC measurement of 33 inches! Meaning I have lost two inches on my waist in a month....coolness. Of course to celebrate my husband took me our for New Mexican food and ice cream but to be honest I feel kinda crappy afterwards So back to my normal eating tomorrow. Mon-Wed I spend 35 minutes on the elliptical at the gym and tried to get as much walking in as possible. I am looking forward to going back to the climbing gym this weekend....kinda scary because I have not been back since my surgery at the end of Jan. I am trying really hard to stay motivated for my last classes but I find myself not interested in the reading ....argggg Maybe I can find someone to read them to me while I am on my laptop =^..^=

  8. I agree with Alethea about adding fruit to you protein shake if at all possible. My husband started adding bananas and strawberries to his and he is in love. Keep it up...we all have our ups and downs ....I hope you sister is okay and your putter too!
  9. YAY for being pain free!! I live in an apartment and sometimes I wish that I could mow the grass...never done it before and it seems fun(a little odd I know lol)
  10. @ LynnyLee Yeah for some reason bar nachos are amazing..weird lol Well I have been doing okay for the passed two days Eating: Not too shabby...Today I was great..yesterday was sushi (yummy tofu and veggie roll!) So yep it was carby but I did manage to admit defeat and take some home lol Working out: Took the dogs on a nice 45 minute walk yesterday and today I managed 30 minutes on an elliptical type thingy with pretty good resistance. On my pampering side note...I went to a Spa(for the first time) and got a body wrap ..It was AMAZING!...It was a little weird at first..I always picture beautiful skinny people going to a Spa so to start with I was really self-concious but the lady was awesome and made me feel as comfortable as possible considering it was a body wrap so I had to be in my birthday suit. I was skeptical but I love it...I have always been one for pampering myself at home but this was awesome. I cannot wait to do it again...pending I save up enuf money ...lol
  11. Ahh I have not been roller skating since I was like 12? Would be funny to try again...just with a lot of padding Last night must have been a pizza night b/c I too cheated w/ it ...it was tasty tho
  12. Hang in there....we are all entitled to our own fun every now and again! I wish I had done something for St. Patrick's day but I just went home from work and sat around ....Sounds like you had fun
  13. Ahh too much fun... Eating: Did okay until going out to a friend's going away thing....did not need the nachos or the soda Exercise: Ummm none Had a blast while listening to an amazing local band "Felonious Groove Foundation" and hanging with hubby and friends...so at least I can say I had fun being bad lol
  14. Day 8 Yesterday went pretty well. Eating: Ate great all day Exercise: Did some fast walking around the track for 40 minutes..and walked around the mall for about an hour (gotta love make up addictions) I am at 173.2 as of 15 minutes ago yay need to do strength training when I get home this afternoon and that will be a challenge lol
  15. I do similar things when I got out and everyone is drinking. I normally have one cranberry juice and vodka and after that just the juice...I like watching others get silly but hate hang overs ...works for me
  16. Soda has always been a clutch for me. I try to only drink it when I am out and if I happen to have some at home I have some really tiny glasses I use to drink it lol
  17. I loved Fathead...it was very eye opening. Fast food is my weakness except its Taco bell for me ...Good luck!!!
  18. @Gem classes are going ok... I finish up classes in May...but I still have to get 600 internship hours before graduation...My MA is in Counseling Day 6,7, and 8 sad indeed Eating: Going well....I have been deviating from my menu because we have not been able to go to the store. My weight it 173.8 yay Exercise: I have been walking some but am finding it hard to get motivated for the strength training ..Need to kick myself in the butt!!

  20. Day Five: Eating...breakfast good, lunch no so good...salad was bad so ate a Carls Jr. ...I got a Taco Salad (did not eat the shell) and a bean burrito. Did not feel like eating for dinner so I had a protein shake and some "chicken strips" and called it a day. Exercising: Got in a 40 min walk with hubby and dogs Boring day overall... filled with paperwork and a lot of yawning lol
  21. Day Four: Eating: Well overall I did okay...Breakfast and Lunch was normal but had to eat dinner w/ husband and part of his family. We ate at a vegan Tai place that is amazing and I made a huge attempt to eat good and I think I did pretty well... Had about 1/4 cup of rice and ate yellow curry w/ tofu. Working out: Did a rutien w/ pushups, pull ups, and squats 4 pulls ups 12 push ups 20 squats Did five sets with about two minutes in between each. Did not like the waiting but that is what the workout called for. Overall the day went good and I am sooo waiting for the weekend
  22. uhh Jury Duty eight flights of stairs in heels sounds like torture! lol sounds like you are doing great even with a busy time!!

  25. God job with the running!! One would think we have been "running" in one form or another since kids but it seems that there is always so much to know lol...Seems like a simple sport too? lmao Great job !
