  1. Yeah, I know. Soda has been the bane of my existence for a very long time, I'm A/B on deserts, bread and B/C on water, but intensely over on soda which ruins it all. I'll just have to kill it (with fire) for the next four weeks. Also, nice pun. 8-)

Here is the condensed update/week 2 grading Lifting: I lifted once since my last update, my current numbers (A+ goals in parenthesis) are; PP: 75 (100, 25 left to go) Sq: 100 (115, 15 left to go) PU: -72 (-55, 17 to go) DL: 95 (90, done with goal) Still on the n00b gains, but I'm still giving myself A+. I've been going a little fast with my lifts, and I think, while still pushing forward, I'm going to slow down and focus on getting my form better. Food: Once again I did extremely poorly with food. I have no excuses. F Research: I've got 8 or 9 more hours logged, I'm going to have to bust arse to get to my intended hour count, but in all progress is being made. Thus I'm going with an B. Guitar: I averaged about an hour a day, though it was a little less. A- So: (4.30(A+) + 0.0 + 3.0 + 3.7)/4 = 11/4 = 2.75 or a B-.
  3. As I'm very familiar with burnout, I'll add my two cents. One thing to remember, burnout accumulates; if you don't take full out rest days often, you'll end up needing weeks.
  4. Thursday/Friday Update ST: 3Repsx5Sets day Deadlift: 95 lbs (Passed Goal by 5 lbs) Pull-ups: Assisted by 72 lbs (17 to go for goal) Trying to climb after this, wasn't a good idea. Food: I over did soda massively; I went out to a bar last night with a couple friends, and my drink is *insert name of high end whiskey* and coke. Guitar: 30 minutes. Research: 2 hours of work. Next Time: More Work, Rest Day, Better Food, More Guitar.
  5. Super bonus points if it's a Beholder. I think that TTRPGs are still nerdier than starcraft II. Particularly if it's some off the wall title like GURPS or Big Eyes Small Mouth.
  6. I'm more than familiar with scaled leveling. JRPGs, ARPGs, MMORPGs and TTRPGs (yes, ) have used them for decades. But, as a nemesis, I'm kind of required to push. Plus, you could easily pwn your way to level 12.

  9. Less than one and half weeks in and you're already at level 3. If I'm not mistaken 6/1.5=4 and 3*4=12. Therefore, I'm renaming your challenge "Ranger Smedly's 6 weeks to level 12 challenge!!!" Buahahaha! (now, if only I could go in and actually edit it)

  12. So, Tuesday's Report: ST: 3Repsx5Sets day (Drum roll...) Push-press at 70 for an increase to 10 lbs, Squat at 95 for a 20 pound increase. You've gotta love n00b gains. Speaking of being a n00b, I was watching some Mark Rippetoe youtube videos and massively improved my form, hopefully I can get someone to critique my form someday. Food: A Soda and a Bread infraction. Guitar: 1 hour 30 minutes. Research: 2 hours of work. Next Time on Sanjh's Big Adventure: Rest Day Day, Some Research Progress (hopefully).

  14. I see, I should have figured with the 5 to 1 ratio, I don't think there is any of the other college in NM remotely close to that ratio. Remember, asking a girl for her number != asking her out, so there really is not a too soon.

  23. Well, I've been quiet for the past handful of days. Anyway here is the condensed update/week 1 grading Lifting: I lifted twice (all were 5x5 days) since my last update, my current numbers (A+ goals in parenthesis) are; PP: 60 (100, 40 left to go) Sq: 75 (115, 30 left to go) PU: -82 (-55, 27 left to go) DL: 70 (90, 20 left to go) So for the week, I've made progress (albeit noob gains) so I giving myself an A+. Food: I lost track of food during the weekend (massive number of infractions on soda, but everything else fell into the B/C range) so I'm giving myself D. I've got to work harder on this. Research: I got about 9 hours of research done, which is low. However, most of that was a proposal on what I intend to do for the next couple weeks, so I'll be able to get more done this week, which is a win. Thus I'm going with an B. Guitar: I didn't keep up with this as much as I should have so I got a C. Work on this more in the upcoming weeks. So, if we go with a 4.0 gpa-ish grading system: (4.30(A+) + 1.0 + 3.0 + 2.0)/4 = 10.3/4 = ~2.57 which falls into B-/C+ range. So, I've gotta pwn the upcoming weeks.
