  2. So I shouldn't be online at this obscene hour, but you should all know that I am a boss and just nailed my seemingly impossible computer vision assignment. That is all.
  3. Yay! I had issues with this too and had to have a friend watch me during my reps and tell me to get my butt down.
  4. Totally this! I feel like a sissy squatting with just 10 pounders on each end. I'm excited about 135, because that means I'll have a 45lb plate on each end. Doing this today on the deadlift! Also looking forward to lifting my body weight on every lift. And deadlifting the equivalent of my boyfriend's weight.
  5. Oh gosh... I dunno if I could be ready by then.
  6. So... I <3 you scouts... But I swear, lifting has taken over my brain. I had a nightmare last night where I couldn't get low enough on my squats. Seriously. That happened. My lifting buddies keep getting "sleepy" or "busy" and bailing on me, so I don't know if my form is any good and I have no one to hold my iPod up to take video of me for a form check. I also had to ask some random dude to spot me on my work sets for the bench press and he kept EFFING UP MY SETS by pulling the bar up before I was done just because I was going up slowly. Seriously put me in a foul mood for the rest of that evening. I wanted to punch him in the face. You might think I'm kidding, but no, I had just lifted something that was heavy for me and he had just ruined it, so being nice and thanking him for his attempt at assistance was really hard to do. Aaargh I get angsty just thinking about it. On the school side of things, I'm still not doing great, BUT I'm getting all my assignments done in a slow but steady manner, and I'm pretty sure I'm learning stuff. Honestly, I'll be really pleased if I don't fail anything. And even that will be a bit of a struggle. I haven't posted in a while because of the whole digging myself out of a pile of work thing going on. Monday I have a huge month-long group project due as well as a computer vision assignment from hell, but I feel like after I turn those in I'll have a bit of a fresh start; all new assignments and plenty of time to not get behind! Also, my ankle is FINALLY starting to feel like a real ankle again, so Imma go for a light jog tomorrow and see how that feels.
  7. Congrats! I've been struggling in school lately, and so I'm in the mindset of a C being a very good thing!
  8. I'm planning on doing power cleans, once I feel less iffy about my deadlift form.
  9. Can't go wrong with chocolate! But I'll see if I can pick up little packets at GNC first, then buy the massive bulk.
  10. Oh dear, now I'm just worried I got the bar weight wrong. While reading SS it said that the 45 may be too heavy for females to start with for the press. I was just like, "I'm a fairly sturdy girl. I'll be damned if I can't get something 1/4 my weight over my head." I am just effing stubborn when someone says I probably can't. Thank you all for the support!
  11. Does the whey protein taste any good? I know the taste shouldn't matter that much, but... I just don't want to buy a 50 dollar container and have something I can't choke down.

  13. C25K is awesome. Yeah, I had never run a mile without stopping before that, was always huffing and puffing after half a lap. You can do it! It's totally worth it when you run an hour for the first time ever.
