  1. Hey @Milo, thanks a lot for your suggestion. As I can't resist the temptation of going book shopping when I have something I want to learn about, I got "Nutrition for Dummies" yesterday and read a few pages. The approach is perfect for someone like me with no education background in that subject, but I'm just on Chapter One so I'll let you guys now how it is as I get further reading it. I had a look at the reviews for "Thinner, leaner, stronger" and it looks like a helpful book, so I think it's going to be one of the next I'm going to read. @Neeko, sorry for getting a bit off topic here and for monopolising your post
  2. Thank you @Neeko I still have to find out all the wonders of this Forum, so I haven't checked the Accountabilibuddies section yet. I would like to find a book about nutrition and fitness that explains how macros affect our body, what happens in our system when we train etc.and yet is easy to understand for someone like me who has a really basic understanding of biology and really poor chemistry knowledge. Basically I'd like to find something to start educating myself about nutrition. Do you have any suggestions?
  3. This sounds amazing!!! Great idea! I'm really good at starting books, but rubbish at actually finishing them. I used to read a lot when I was a teen, but gradually decreased as I started University and now that I have a full time job and live on my own it feels like there's always something more important to do (cleaning up, food preppring, going to the gym, social events...). Did you set a generic time goal for the books in the list (like the whole 2017) or did you choose a specific time for each one? I would really like to join this challenge... I have to start thinking of my own list
  4. Ok, feels good to know I'm not alone in getting injured on my 1st long distance. I added you too, it's cool to have a buddy!
  5. Hello everyone, I'm a newbie and I was wondering if there's any Rebel Londoner in here. It would be cool to organize something together, like a run or anything else. Cheers
  6. Hi! I'm Brigitte and just like you I am a newbie. I really like running as well, but after going back to it at the end of November I pushed it too hard and I ended up injuring my knee on Christmas day, which was the first time I ran 10k Anyway, I would like to get up early in the morning and hitting the gym or going for a jog, but... man it's so hard, so I completely understand. If you need a buddy you can add me. See yaaa
