    Liz goes for Level 2!

I have a cold. Ugh..... Stuffy nose, a little tired, blowing my nose a lot. It was bound to happen, first cold this winter. Have been doing pretty well with exercise - skipped today with the cold. Signed up again for weight watchers. It's the only way I've ever really lost weight. So that definitely is upping my fruits and veggies. I love that they're 0 points, definitely gives me incentive to eat more of them.

    Liz goes for Level 2!

So today I completed Day 8 of the 28 day Beginners Fitness program. Plugging away Water consumption is going really well! Veggies are at least one a day. Enjoying some relaxation.
  3. I loved reading Anne of Green Gables!!!!! Never saw the movie.

    Liz goes for Level 2!

Valentine's Day put me on a total sugar binge. Too much candy! Too many sweets! I think tomorrow will finally be the end... Already ate two Reese's hearts today at work. Exercise - didn't work out on Saturday because I felt crummy. Tired, swollen glands. Yesterday I was much better and got back on the exercise program. This beginner workout is challenging... Definitely getting some fitness out of it. water is going well. I didn't make my water goal on Saturday, but have been hitting or exceeding 48 ounces daily. Put some lemon slices in my bottle this weekend and it was nice. Vegetables - going pretty well. Saturday I only had broccoli with dinner. Just keep plugging away. Paint - this week will get to the paint store to get some chips and then tape them to the wall for comparison. Working on doing some productive things. Gave the dog a bath. Emptying the dishwasher. Exercising. Trying to decide what to do after supper. I could do my wellness stuff online for the annual company wellness program. Guess we'll see.

    Liz goes for Level 2!

Fortunately I wasn't overly sore on Tuesday. Yesterday I missed my workout because Wednesday I left the house at 9:15 am and got home at 9 pm. Not a big deal. I just a finished today's prescribed butt exercise routine. It was pretty challenging. Tomorrow is an off day which is good because I have no time for a workout tomorrow. Things are are going pretty well otherwise. Meeting or exceeding my water goals. Doing well with veggies. I've also been eating Valentine's Day candy. Almost at food group status. We had treats at work on Tuesday and my husband got me the traditional chocolate covered marshmallows from Fitzkee's.

Laundry. Yes, today there was another load. Truthfully it's a duvet cover I want to use that I neglected to launder before putting away last year. Such is life... Vegetables - leftovers for lunch were salmon, asparagus and noodley stuff. For dinner a garden salad and leftover lasagna. Good eats! Exercise - today I started the 30-day get in shape training plan for beginners. We'll see how sore I am tomorrow. water - 52 oz - goal met!

    Liz goes for Level 2!

Day 1 of this challenge is going okay. Water - 52 oz - yay! It went down pretty easily Exercise - yesterday I went to Happy Saturday Yoga and it was pretty challenging so today I'm sore. My first workout will be tomorrow. Vegetables - lunch was a salad (Chicken Vera Cruz at Noodles) dinner was lasagna with some spinach thrown in along with salad Today was busy with church, lunch, Target run, laundry, cooking, laundry, parents over for dinner, put away more laundry. There seems to be a theme.
  8. Hope this goes well. I like schedules and am a creature of habit. Although they aren't really the same thing. Very impressed by your goal of learning Spanish.
  9. I'm pretty jazzed that I completed my level 1 challenge. Now on to Level 2! Complete the 30 Day Get in Shape for Beginners program on Skinny Ms. I've already looked over the program and believe it is doable for me. Will also continue Happy Saturday Yoga through its conclusion on 2/18/17. Eat 2 servings of vegetables daily. This means eating veggies twice a day. More cooking for Liz! Drink 48 oz water daily. Planning to log this on my Fitbit app. Level up my life - select paint colors for the master bedroom and master bath. Never have really liked the color of these two rooms. Have lived in my house 8 years. It's about time! Planning on going to Sherwin Williams for paint chips and then samples. In October I painted the living room - walls and ceiling. Was very happy with their paint.

    My Level 1 Challenge

Thanks for posting! Definitely keeping the changes going during the gap week. Thinking about a 28 day workout plan for absolute beginners I found on Skinny Ms. Seems doable. Level up my life goal will be selecting paint colors for my master bedroom and bath - have lived in my house for 8 years and disliked the color of both rooms since we moved in. The other two - not sure. Gotta think some.

    My Level 1 Challenge

So it seems like this is the end of the challenge? This has gone reasonably well. Here's a rundown.... Walking - after dropping a bag of trash on my right foot on 1/23, my walking came to an abrupt halt. My foot was bothering me so it made sense to stop the walking. A week later I still had discomfort so I went to the local Ortho walkin clinic for evaluation. Thankfully there was no break. The foot feels pretty much back to normal. I still was able to go to Happy Saturday Yoga. Soda - my lunchtime soda was actually replaced by a cup of hot tea. Without drinking soda at lunch, it was a lot easier to drink water during the day. I did have soda a couple of times at lunch - like 3 times. Every now and then it just seems necessary. Vegetable with a meal once a day. i would say that most days I did have a veggie. Is butternut squash a veggie or a starch? Sleep - most nights I'm sleeping 7.5-8 hours. I'm convinced this has helped me avoid all the sickness patients bring into the office. I also feel better. Overall I've not lost any weight. Haven't gained any either so that would be a plus at this point. Not sure if I feel any stronger. I'm looking forward to the next challenge!

    My Level 1 Challenge

I'm back! Not really sure why I didn't post this week. Drinking less soda is going pretty well...drinking a cup of hot tea instead...gotta have that midday caffeine. I'm definitely drinking more water and I would say that in general the water is going down better without that midday Diet Coke. The veggies are a little more spotty. I got raw veggies to take to work to eat with hummus. Nutritious and satisfies my desire for snacking. My sleep is so much better. Sleeping 7.5-8 hours a night. About the walking. On Monday night I dropped a bag of trash on my right foot. When I got up on Tuesday I had some pain right at joint of the big toe. It's still a little sore, but improving. I didn't walk because I didn't figure any extra walking was going to be beneficial and could, in fact, be detrimental. Friday was the first day it felt like its on the mend. I'm a little over sensitive about foot pain after having a stress fracture in my right foot 2+ years ago that involved a boot with non weight bearing status for 13 weeks! I went to Happy Saturday Yoga yesterday and things went okay. I'll try my 5-minute lunch walk tomorrow. I'm pretty excited about keeping up with these changes. My ultimate goals are weight loss and physical fitness. I believe both are equally important. My hope is that reasonable weight loss can be done through cleaning up my diet. I did weight watchers in 2015-2016 and eventually stopped because I was tired of feeling restricted by points. I did lose weight, but, I've gained it all back. At 49, I realize I'm fortunate that this is the first time in my life I've really struggled with weight. My clothes don't fit and I have a muffin top with jeans. Therefore, my body must become smaller! My physical strength and stamina are not good. I would like to be able to clean and not feel exhausted, jog again (feet willing). Not feel held back by lack of strength.
