  1. Just finished Neil gaimans ocean at the end of the lane . Starting Alan Moores saga of the swamp thing
  2. Thanks !! I am very happy with it. Took 4 hours . Should be another 1-2 to finish it up
  3. Thanks @Butternut and @taymonsta ! Heres the tattoo in progress . True to my hobbity nature Gets finished on Tuesday so so so itchy today
  4. Howdy!! my life has been a bit hectic so I've been off line. I've only been to the gym twice per week for last two week which is ok. My son developed a crazy rash so we took him to Drs. They took lots of bloodwork, urine and culture swabs to see what's wrong. I was quite stressed. His results came back clear and he was seen by two other Drs who confirmed Henoch Schonlein Purpura which isn't a serious condition it just looks that way. He had a really bad virus and his body is attacking his blood cells making them bleed . Bleh! It's only serious if it attacks kidneys and intestines. So this rash is making its rounds on his legs, arms, feet and stomach.poor guy. My work hours have been all over the place .. no consistency at all grrr!! Im getting over a wicked cold . On Monday I got a new tattoo big one on my back, 4 hours and I go back tues to finish you're supposed to give the tattoo a few healing days before venturing to the gym so hopefully I go tomorrow ( if I can get sports bra on! Lol)
  5. Went to see Tove Lo in concert at Massey Hall in Toronto with my hubby tonight..... what a blast!
  6. My qoute for the week : "Whether you think you can or think you can't , you're right" - Henry Ford- wise words mind set is key to success in everything ! Increased some weights at the gym; leg press 155lb leg extension 45lb hamstring curl 55lb tough 3rd set chest press 35lb amazing how 5lb can greatly increase difficulty lat pull down 50lb I'm building muscle y'all !!!!
  7. Thank you for the insight ! Working to lose 5lbs and gain muscle im going to check MFP out .
  8. Good luck on your challenges everyone !!! Go Rebels
  9. Hi there @Elastigirl , @Tanktimus the Encourager suggested I ask you about fat and protein intake doing my 2nd challenge over in rebels and thinking of coming over to Rangers for challenge 3. I want to build strong muscles and lose that soft jiggle of neglect from not exercising for years. Im 38, 5'5" 145lbs( lost 5 lbs first challenge) I walk 30 mins or bike 12 mins to work. I strength train on machines at YMCA 2x per week, 1 x NF body weight workout, 1x cyclefit+/step class per week . For 2nd challenge added 2 booty workouts per week. I eat a healthy varied diet of all homemade food . I'm 34 days sugar free !!! I drink a vegan protein shake with almond milk and hemp oil post workout (27g protein) im unsure about how much fat and protein I should be eating to build strong muscles and tighten up. I appreciate any advice you can give thanks !
  10. Thanks for getting back to me I'm turning 39 this year and want to build muscle and strength going into my 40s. I don't necessarily care about # on the scale I'm 5'5", 145lbs. I walk (30mins)or bike to work (12mins). Current weekly activities : strength train on machines at YMCA 2x, NF beginner bodyweight , 1x cyclefit/ step class, and I added 2 booty workouts starting this challenge. I had neglected physical health over the years and felt weak and achey. I read a NF goal setting article and it helped propel me to where I'm at now. I eat a fair amount of food and use a vegan protein powder for after workouts. Just unsure if I'm consuming what I should to build strength.
  11. Hope it's ok to post here ... I'm currently in rebels doing my 2nd challenge and I'm looking for info on how much fat and protein to eat I wasn't sure who would be appropriate to reach out to. I'm thinking of moving over to the Rangers for challenge 3
  12. Today I'm feeling like a ravenous beast . I have an appetite that is dare I say scary !!!
  13. You will appreciate the money spent on good fitting bras . The difference is remarkable , so comfortable and pretty too The quality will be apparent after many wears . I usually buy a couple a year to add to my collection ( they're bloody expensive!)
