  1. I've seen the full body ones, that go from like, mid thigh to just under the boob, and those don't look that bad, but that might be the photoshop haha. Shapewear panties don't seem like a good time. Also, calling panties pants is adorable, but what do you call pants? Trousers?
  2. I mean two different types of 'shapewear'. I'm sure EVERYONE has seen the waist trainers on Instagram, and I am curious of opinions of those. I also, mostly, mean the 'temporary' ones. Like, the ones you might wear under a tight dress, or something like that (I also have no idea what else to call it, other than shape wear lol.
  3. [January 19th, 2017] Day 2 of not doing anything. My IUD has been giving me such bad pain, I haven't been able to go to the gym. I also think I did something to my knee (again). I guess I'm just making excuses, I just haven't gone. (Strong language in my little rant, thing. I highly recommend not reading it? It's just venting really. Tomorrow I'm working at an arena, selling 50/50 tickets all day, and weekend. Lots of walking, which will be good. We'll see how it goes; until then.
  4. Ah, okay! Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it! We'll see how the IUD goes, maybe I'll try depo.
  5. I have always heard the copper one makes your periods heavier and worse, because I mean, it's copper lol. Just that freaked me out, so I definitely went hormonal haha. Did you find you put any weight on with depo? I think that was one of the reasons I didn't want to get the shot was because of weight gain lol.
  6. My periods have definitely lightened up, and are 100% not on a schedule, which is a little annoying but also kind of nice?
  7. I had very mild cramps before I had the IUD, but once it was in they became much more, violent I guess? Though i am the same as they only flare up, they aren't constant.
  8. I agree with you, nutrition is definitely the hardest! That's awesome that you re-did your pantry; it should help you so much! Also, a video log would be incredible! You could make notes to yourself, and see so many different angles. Good luck with everything, I'm sure we'll see some progress!
  9. I may have contradicted myself! I was going for the school one with my friend, then we did a Zumba class, and man that was nice haha. I think I'll ask my folks for a bit of help in that department. [January 17th, 2017] The day started pretty rough and finished pretty good. In my math class, I felt so far behind that I had a mental breakdown, which caused my anxiety to spike due to crying in front of my classmates. So, I went to the gym to run my sorrows away (spoiler alert; it was a bad idea). I had this stupid, nagging voice in my head that was asking 'why the hell was I doing this? I don't achieve things, I'm lazy and a procrastinator. I learned I was 25 pounds heavier than I thought I was, losing that weight, especially on my tummy is impossible.' So that just set a mood for the day. It did get better though! I had some food (delicious stuffed bell peppers), and really thought it out. I'm doing this for a reason; I was to be healthier. No going to lie to anyone, I do kind of want to do this for my physical appearance, which I'm not ashamed about. After my friend (I don't think she'll mind if I call her Kels) was finished her classes, we went to CAA (or AAA) to plan the trip. It completely turned me around; our dream finally began to feel real! I ranted to her about my feels, and she convinced me to go back to the gym with her, and leave the building with a good feeling. Why would I want to go back to somewhere I walked out of with a bad note? SHE MADE ME DO A ZUMBA CLASS! I have never done a 'class' like that before, and I was absolutely terrified. I'm so glad I did it though. We met a couple really nice ladies who helped ease my anxiety. As we got into it, I realized no one else cared about how I was doing it, they were worried about themselves! Proudly I walked out of there with the reddest face, giving the class my everything. I also went right to the front, on recommendation of one of the ladies. As scared as I was, I'm glad I did it. The instructor was so sweet, she kept making eye contact with me, smiling, and nodding to me. It was extremely reassuring. The result from that was convincing myself to get the gym membership, so we can go once (or twice if we're feeling energetic) a week to the Zumba classes. Wow that was a lot. I feel like this is more of a diary than a log, but I guess it's the same concept. Plus, mental health is just as important as physical! Anyways, until tomorrow.
  10. The fancy one took such a long time for me to figure out too haha. It's definitely been getting better! I get up at 6:30 most days, sometimes 5:30, and it's still usually ten, sometimes 9. It's not bad on a school day, my first-period teacher doesn't really let us eat in his class, which ends at 9:40! Although, I have been following Steve's guide to creating habits, and as far as eating goes it has been well! What kind of sports do you do??
  11. Hormonal coil! I haven't had much as far as periods go either, it's just the cramping! It's like I can feel it contracting around it, you know? I have felt light headed, but not much in regards of weakness.
  12. Maybe this is a bit personal, but that's okay. So for anyone with an IUD or really bad cramps, you'll know what I mean. Doing workouts such as cardio, or reclining upper body is okay, but as soon as I'm standing and doing upper body, or anything that bends my tummy I get awful pains. I know the IUD is supposed to give you bad cramps for the first 3-6 months, and it's been about 3-4. SO the question I'm trying to ask is what do you do to help relieve the cramps, in a gym/after a workout? I hate having to stop for 5 or so minutes to regain my composure. Thanks, and please ask any questions if I was unclear on anything.
  13. I can, we have a treadmill, but I actually do prefer a gym setting! I don't know why, and it's totally backward, but I do! I think I'll invest in a gym pass at my school, which is only $20. Thank you so much! I was actually so stoked to find a dress big enough to try on lol, and it's a corset back which is perfect.
  14. Stopping is definitely difficult if you don't know how to do it haha. It's kind of like, you go forward, then you suddenly turn your foot 90 degrees so it pushes up snow, but also kind of lean the opposite way you're travelling so you don't fall? It's difficult to explain haha. Walls also help, just not quite as painlessly haha. It truly does! I never really noticed until now, especially working at a fast food place. I don't actually know if it is a specific food. I feel like it was tied to an incident I had when I was younger. I was biking on wet cement (a REALLY bad idea) and hit my head. Since then nothing's really agreed with me. I think around 10 o'clock am is enough time for my body to wake up and be okay with food! Thank you so much! I am so grateful for him. I completely agree!! I feel like people consistently think that other people don't really care, so they don't want to be excited about anything in fear of being shut down. That's why I'm so glad I found Nerd Fitness, no one here is like that, everyone is so warm and welcoming.
  15. New sports are always a good time! Most arena's offer a free-skate time on a certain day, I highly recommend you check it out. Right now, to be totally honest, I'm just kind of going with it haha. I'm trying to cut out any unneeded sugars, such as pops, baked goods, the works. Not cold turkey, obviously, I do not have the will power for that haha. I never really had the motivation to make myself food for the day, but now that I'm trying to save money it really hit me on how much I spend on fast food. Since I do still live with my parents, I do rely on them a fair bit, so I'm glad they support my decision to do this. In my history, breakfast has always made me ill, so that's one of my biggest obstacles to over come. As far as exercise, I am truly blessed with a wonderful coach. I had no idea what to do in a gym before I switched to this school. He taught me proper gym etiquette, form, exercises, determination, and how to ask for help. I do have anxiety, but now it seems so much easier to just, go. Not to mention the free weights are kind of intimidating, but Steve has certainly helped! Back on topic, I've been doing a lot of cardio as warm-up. I think I want to start doing full cardio 2 or 3 days of the week, and heavy lifting another 2. Wow, I'm sorry for the wall of text haha. No one's really asked HOW I'm going to do it, if felt good to get it out there haha. Thank you for your interest and welcome, I hope to see you around!
