  1. Still struggling to get to the gym or work out. I'm recovered now though. Back on the wagon! Up side: I have had some success with my eating plan, so happy that.
  2. Illness: Not Avoided. What I did avoid was working out all last week. I am up 0.8 pounds this week as well. Crabby and despondent. Not quitting, though.
  3. You're funny! Following your progress - thanks for the motivation! I'm also stealing your idea about having self-esteem challenges for my next challenge. I need this.
  4. SuNoYo - did you go all the way to the floor? Because I'm still not there yet! Baby steps... So this morning's workout - got through one set of BBWW and ran out of steam again. Kind of frustrating since I went 3x through Wednesday and Friday last week. I guess Mondays are just rough. But there is a lot going on. I am definitely coming down with something. I also sweated my butt off dancing all weekend, and I think I am still a little dehydrated. And then the baby woke me up at 4:30am. So, I will try to do the other one or two sets this evening, but not going to worry about it over much. This week's points: 3 for workouts, 2 for optional cardio, 5 for food tracking, 5 for bed on time. 15 points!
  5. Love it! The 500# club is a "someday goal" of mine! You're awesome - Crossfit is tough.
  6. Yesterday was my birthday and I got Just Dance 2014 for our Wii. Excited to do this with my 4-year-old!
  7. Ha, and by "rocking" I mean "doing it 3x a week" only. Still wimpy knee pushups and lunges that go 3/4 of the way down. I'll get there though!
  8. Rocked BBWW again today. My clothes are definitely tighter after the holidays, so I'm dreading weigh-in tomorrow, but it will be good to have a baseline. I'm not turning around and quitting ever again, so I guess it doesn't matter what the result is. Nowhere to go but down.
  9. Great reward! Good luck with your goals!
  10. Thanks for the encouragement! I am sore today, but just sore enough that I can't wait to get back to it tomorrow. Doing the best I can with bed on time with an 8 month old and a 4 year old - husband has done a great job taking over at bedtime so I can *try* to sleep. Edit to my original post- I realized I was treating the side quest as mandatory the way I did the points, so I re-scaled it slightly.
  11. Monday - BBWW, tracked food, bed on time. Only made it through 1 circuit, felt like I was going to die. So much for working out at the end of the day. Still giving myself a point because I got in a good tough bike ride as well. Tuesday - Tracked food, bed on time. Today - BBWW - 3x through! I guess I'm a morning workout person. I am going to be SORE tomorrow....
  12. Main Quest Lose 20-30 pounds and get measurably stronger and fitter. Supporting Quests 1) BBWW 3x a week 2) Daily food tracking and stay on plan (I do Weight Watchers' "power foods" plan) 3) Go to bed on time every day Side Quest Is this allowed for a newbie? I'd like to jog/walk 2-3 days a week. Motivation It's time. No more excuses. I'm on the bus, there's no getting off. I'm excited to show my daughter all the grit and trying it takes to accomplish gigantic goals. I'm calling this the Impossible Girl challenge because statistically, most people never lose weight, keep it off, and stay in shape. That's not me. I'm the Impossible Girl (and yes, also a Whovian). Life Quest Lose 100 pounds, play ice hockey (recreationally), and become an elite-level lifter. Additional Background I'm a female litigator at a large law firm with two small kids. My life is pretty crazy but I'm sick of excuses. I'm at my highest weight ever, my baby is 8 months old, and it's time to climb this weight loss/fitness mountain. Current Stats 35 year old Female Size 20 shirt, 18 pants Points System BBWW workout - 1 point Bed on time - 1 point Food tracking - 1 point Jog/walk session - 1 point Grading A 102-91 B 90-81 C 80-71 D 70-61 F 60 or less
