  1. I really hope your situations lighten up soon Hang in there, you're doing so well!
  2. Thank you so much everyone! I'll try to do another update soon! @Lord Pakku, the Unhinged@Manarelle@Red1263@Myrik
  3. Glad you're feeling better and can get back into your workouts! I also fell ill this week, but I was thankfully able to sleep it off and it only lasted 3 days. Will be following you!
  4. Loving this challenge! I've never had the thought before, but learning to throw knives sounds awesome. Maybe I'll try picking it up on one of my future challenges! Great work keeping a routine with your workouts!
  5. First update! Before I begin my recount of the week so far, I want to thank everyone here for your support! It's really appreciated. My first day of the challenge actually started out really well! I worked on what I could with the home construction, shoveling and moving buckets of gravel by hand for a collective of about two hours. I also spent about an hour walking around the neighborhood and my land looking for one of our heavy duty dump carts that some kids decided to steal. I found it, and hopefully gave the kids a bit of a scare with my empty police threats lol. Unfortunately, I caught a bug with a nasty fever on day two and spent most of the day asleep. I was able to do a bit of housework on day three, but didn't want to push it and rested the rest of the day. My fever broke completely day four, and I got a decent amount of work done on my props. No workouts yet though. Which brings me to today! Today was a good day. More work was done on props, and I re-opened my shop with a few items for now. I'm hoping the rest will also be ready to be listed within a week or two. I also did a full body workout, which I'll list at the end of this post. One goal I managed to reach everyday was my water goal! Even through the groggy feverish sleep filled days I managed to get 75oz down. My lunches consisted of homemade chicken noodle soup and chicken salads. I hope to get my meal plan going this weekend, and I may begin tracking my meals next challenge. Or maybe this one, who knows. Tonight's workout: Cross Body Crunch, 5 Sets, 20 Reps each (Total 100 Reps) Butt Lift (Bridge), 4 Sets, 1 Min each (Total 4 Min) Bodyweight Squat, 4 Sets, 10 Reps each (Total 40 Reps) Standing Dumbbell Triceps Extension (10lb Dumbbell), 5 Sets, 10 Reps each (Total 50 Reps) Hammer Curls (8lb Dumbbells), 5 Sets, 10 Reps each (Total 50 Reps) One Arm Dumbbell Row (10lb Dumbbell), 5 Sets, 20 Reps each (10 each arm, Total 40 Reps) EDIT: I forgot to mention that I completed my taxes as well Sunday!
  6. Many thanks for the good advice! I had meant to update Monday, but I caught a bug and have been out of commission. I'll likely do at least another day of rest before diving into my challenge. Hopefully it'll be enough!
  7. I think I'm starting to get familiar with it! I'm participating in this month's challenge and the first day went really well. Thank you so much!
  8. Cosplay Corgis are the BEST! I make props for cosplay actually, I just submitted my intro post if you'd like to read about it! Let's see if I can get the hang of this!
  9. Thank you for the welcome! I just submitted my intro post here: Let's see if I can get the hang of this!
  10. Hello! I'm not quite familiar with how everything works around here yet, but I figured it was time to at least introduce myself. My name is Candice, or Candicat around the web. I'm 25, located in the U.S., Oklahoma to be exact. I have a small family consisting of my fiance and my daughter. I'm into many different fandoms, and I also cosplay. I have never been very athletic, and I struggle with cardio due to health reasons. I've recently taken an interest in weight lifting though, and I hope to be able to graduate to gym equipment (and the Warrior class) after mastering body weight exercises. I do also plan to work on cardio, but it will be a slow climb and it will not be the main focus of my goals. I don't consider myself an unhealthy eater exactly, but I would like to clean up my diet none the less. I struggle with keeping a consistent diet, either by not eating enough or binge eating. I don't drink soda or sugary drinks very often, but I do drink daily coffee which I don't plan to give up anytime soon. I don't drink nearly enough water though, and often get dehydrated. This is one of my first goals to achieve. I don't plan to lose much weight, so the goal of my diet will be not to cut anything out necessarily, but to make sure I'm getting enough healthy nutrients with each meal. I have always struggled with fitting in, and my social life has seriously degraded over the years. Just recently a close family member was diagnosed on the autism spectrum disorder. It's very hard for adults to be diagnosed, and even more so for females. Her diagnoses was very lucky, for the both of us. Through their diagnoses I found my own. I've been learning all I can about autism, and how to embrace and live with it. I've become more aware to my struggles and the struggles of others on the spectrum, and how to handle them. I hope to be able to ease myself back into social situations and relationships, and to work on my social anxieties. You'll see these goals in my challenges. You'll likely also hear a lot about my recent endeavors in my challenges, so I'll give an explanation here. I started up a small business fabricating cosplay props last year. I'm still honing my skills, but I've been very satisfied with the sales I've received. My shop was put on temporary hold however mid-last year, as my family and I took a big step. After years of interest and research in natural home construction, we were given the opportunity to build a home of our own. My fiance works full time, keeping my schedule flexible, so I've taken on construction mostly by myself. Work started in July 2016, though halted to a stop when winter rolled around. I now plan to re-open my business full swing until the weather is agreeable for construction. I am hoping to then shift my business from fully completed props, to finish-ready kits in hopes to juggle both my business and home construction at the same time. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
