  1. Hey @Konifer ! Welcome to the rebellion! I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder injury, but I am happy you found us! This community is awesome and very supportive! I think its really important to like the exercise that you do, that way it doesn't feel like a chore! Walking is excellent. I'm not sure if you read Tim's story, but it is very inspirational in terms of walking and losing weight! He lost 50 lbs by nutrition and walking alone! https://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/how-tim-walked-his-way-to-a-50-pound-weight-loss-wait-what/ Wishing you the best of luck!
  2. Hey @Voider ! Welcome to the rebellion! It's an awesome time to get started on your fitness journey! And thats really cool that you have been actively following nerdfitness already! 3. Hey @NerdyDiva ! Welcome to the rebellion! Congratulations on already making progress in your weight loss! This site offers an awesome community of supportive people all facing challenges and supporting each other through them! Happy to have you here to be a part of it. I have been doing the BBWW for about 3-4 weeks now, and it still gets me everytime! Good luck with your fitness journey and keep us all posted on how you are doing! There is currently a 4 week challenge going on, its about halfway done, but its never too late to start thinking in specifics about the goals you hope to achieve or the habits you want to develop over a 4 week time. Best of luck!
  4. That's AMAZING ! Congratulations on hitting all of your goals this week!! And yay for veggies!
  5. That's nice you can recognize and tap into all the different emotions you are feeling. And that you can be both pissed you didn't get it and simultaneously proud of your friend that did! She sounds like she was really conscientious of how you would feel, and thats really sweet. I hope you find what you are looking for, and maybe her position is now free as manager? If that something you could apply for?
  6. Nice job eating three meals a day! This is so so important! And I think its awesome you are listening to your body and know when to take a break. The bike will still be there next week
  7. That sucks I'm sorry to hear about that! What a shitty thing for her to do.. I hope things get better, and if you need to vent, I'm here to listen!
  8. That's awesome! Congratulations!
  9. Congrats on your exercise streak!! That's amazing!! And yay to having exercise pals As for your chocolate cravings go, have you tried dark chocolate and almonds? I find it really satisfying. Also, maybe chocolate in KIND bars like the dark chocolate caramel sea salt one with almonds?
  10. LOL to that gif, and to Linkin Park! I was so into them when I was in Elementary school. I thought I was so cool X) And "Do you hear the people sing" is amazing and I'm in love with Les Miserables book/ play/ movie everything.
  11. Cool drawing! Happy to see you are doing well !
  12. Hey Dalish! How are things going? I know how rough those down days can be. Let us know how we can support you! Wishing you all the best xx
  13. Yesss I love that side cup I just bend it backwards and use my spoon to plop it in
  14. That's a really great way to look at it! This isn't a temporary thing, so its okay for the scale to move up and down. It's the long game. Thanks for reminding me about this for myself too!
  15. Hey Butternut! I'm new to your thread but am getting caught up. I totally agree with things everyone has said here. I'm definitely a person that's more "Out with it!" and I'll just address things head on, but I think timing is important. And from what I grasp, your husband isn't verbally supporting you. It's understandable if he is gone a lot / working a lot and can't help physically with chores/cooking/cleaning/ kid managing/ etc. , but he should still be verbally supporting you. A "thankyou for keeping this house running and this family together" takes about 5 minutes to utter and can mean so much. Sometimes in relationships it can feel like a competition of "who has it worse/ who is the most tired/ who deserves what" but it shouldn't be able that or comparison. You are SUPERMOM and you are killing it! Hubby should be able to praise and recognize that everyday. I notice actions and words are contagious. Ex: When I clean up my stuff, my partner tends to clean up more often by my example. So maybe if you praise him verbally for all his work, he will praise you right back. Sometimes we just get caught up in our own heads. I recognize this in myself when someone I know passes me and says "hey how are you?" and I reply "eh Im okay.. Hanging in there" and a moment after they smile and continue walking I realize I never said "And how are you?" Stress is a social cue killer. I hope things get better! And you can always vent here to us! We gotchu
  16. That's good, keep it simple! I use My Food Tracker on MyPlate.gov to see if I am meeting all of my goals. I don't use it everyday because calorie counting doesnt work for me, but I find it reassuring to use when I'm questioning if I ate enough/ too much on a given day.

  18. Still! That's amazing! And your picture above is beautiful! We had a lot of snow here in MA, but its really melted the past few days.
  19. Good job finding what works for you and listening to your body. We have to respect and treat our bodies well! I miss being in a pool and your post reminded me of that. Maybe I'll try an aquafit class too
  20. Yes! It really helps me too! And thanks
  21. You are doing GREAT! I really enjoyed catching up to your progress and seeing all of your meal pics along the way! I'm currently still doing knee push ups and am thinking about doing inclined ones.... Can you really do them off the kitchen counter? I feel like I am going to hurt myself... Maybe I'll start with the couch!
  22. This was SUPER helpful! Thanks for all the info! And congrats on your fitness goals! You are doing great sticking with it!
  23. Nice job on the teeth! And I second what Miw said, son't let yourself get discouraged if things get a little derailed. It's all about small changes that turn into habits. You are already doing so well! Keep up the good work
  24. Great job @J3NN ! I bet it feels good crossing off things on your list! Can't wait to hear your song!
