  1. I'm currently reading crooked kingdom but i did just buy like 8 books so i'm trying to keep up with myself. I want to read 30 books this year
  2. Hello and welcome! This is your captain speaking! For this month i have a plan in three parts, (que drumroll for the incredibles theme, which is to play while you read this and i explain my plan Oceans 11 style) PHASE ONE: NUTRITION So last month i did a pretty decent job of sticking to my goal of sticking to my calorie goal, and that's basically my goal for this month. Stay in the calorie allotment, with variations in like when i work out. Within 100 calories. Sometimes i go a little over but i'm not kicking my butt about it. I'm aslo going to continue intermittent fasting and pounding out a gallon of water a day! PHASE TWO: EXERCISE As i said last week, i've started back at the gym! My goal is two lifting days a week! Shouldn't be too hard! I know i should run some too but i'm not adding that to this challenge, if it happens it happens, but i'm not too worried about that! I'll be doing The "avenger's workout" list from the muscle and strenght magazine. I'll be keeping a notebook with all my workouts instead of logging it online because i don't want to pay for fitbod and i hate learning how to use new apps! PHASE THREE: MIND I'm just working on reading more books and i've been okay about reading but making it a goal doesn't seem like a bad idea, I just want to read a chapter a day is all. Reading off the page and not audio book. I will also be listening to audio books though!! So that's the challenge for this month! Excited to see where it goes and what happens! SW:244
  3. This little ham is just lookin for some tea today, keep me warm on this terrible cold evening.
  4. Welcome to the FINAL DAY!! I know it's early in the day BUT I'm gonna do a summary of how this challenge went for me! I've lost a little more than three lbs. Which is AWESOME, BUT i had dropped somewhere around 7 lbs and then i had a bad week. One of the things i'm learning is that i can't emotionally beat myself up when i have a bad week, because as was pointed out to me by the lovely Manarelle I had not been A.) giving my self time to rest and B.) coping with the stressfull week in a positive, healthy way! So i fell off my fasting for about a week and in that week i also didn't track what i was eating, which lead to me eating MORE that i'd meant to. BUT alas, that is okay, the journey is filled with successes and slip ups. I got a fancy water bottle, which isn't necessary but i'd been spending a dollar gallons of water every day and the thing has already paid for itself in the week i've had it as far as "Not buying more gallons of water" goes. I also got myself back into the gym and lifting. I was holding off going because i've been nervous about pandemic stuff but i really really enjoyed myself when i went this week and i look forward to going again! That's not to say i'm not positively waddling the last couple of days, as my thighs are still like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH" but it's worth it. It's a good hurt. Maybe i'll even add a little running next challenge? who knows. Anyways. Lastly something i've been meaning to do and i did lastnight(finally) was participate in a challenge from one of my twitch friends! He's been obsessed with the game "Cyber Shadow" of late and has been asking his friends to try it and to get through the first two levels, the reward for which is a sprite of yourself(or your internet persona) as a hampster! and alas, lastnight i took to the stream, and i spent THREE HOURS(and a significantly larger number of lives) powering through these two levels! It was a really fun time and a fun game and i recommend it to anyone who likes 2D platforming games, ninjas, or robots with flamethrower backpacks. All this to say, Here is the Prize:
  5. Hey there hi there ho there! Today i ran errands all day, spent a LOT of money fixing my car and got a camera to make videos with. I'm trying to set it up so i can use it for streaming too but that is proving to be a pain in my tush! ANYWAYS! i broke my fast at ten, started new fast at like 2 and stayed in my calorie allotment! very excited about these things today!
  6. Just keep doing what you can friend! You've got this! I love that you've found something that works for you! Things are tough and honestly it's okay to slip up, we grow from where we fall right? I'm excited for you!
  7. Hi! I also had some struggles with this, less that it's a joy source(which it is for sure don't get me wrong) and more that it's how i reward myself. I've been trying to figure out ways to reward myself that are not, in fact food. It's been a challenge. because i adore food.
  8. that sounds like SO much to handle. But i like the idea of teaching cats. It's funny to me because i'm not sure if cats or people are more stubborn lol
  9. That ramen looks so friggen good holy crap. I need to start soft boiling my eggs for noodles.
  10. Coming to the end and you've survived the whole time! I'm excited for you!
  11. I positively adore tea. this last few months has been great for my rekindling romance with the leafy juice
  12. After a solid month of leg pumping, Captain gets off the swing, looks around and announces I fear it is not possible to go all the way around after this declaration he goes to the bench, lies down and begins snoring
  13. Hey there, hi there, ho there! I did pretty well with my food today, went a little over but, what can you do? I started my fast around 3:30, pounding water and a little bit of tea! I also went to the gym and did leg day today! It was fun and my legs are like "yo why'd you do this to me?" lol but it was good, it FELT good to be able to squat the amount i did. I'm pretty excited about it. Actually being back in the gym feels SO good. It's motivating to me to just be there honestly. I've had a membership for MONTHS and honestly i'm annoyed with myself that i haven't been going before now because i love feeling the way i do now. It was a good day. A positive day. so. that's good!
  14. OKAY! so i'm back on track! It only took a week and then a full day off lol. I have been on track today and yesterday. Fast started today at 5pm. I stayed in my calorie allotment today but i didn't track yesterday. I also went to the gym and did an arms and shoulder work out today! It was nice to move some weight and get sweaty again. I'm going to be going again on friday to do my "leg day" so that will be fun! I'm thinking of maybe going and doing running on my in between days. Who knows. Anyways! I hope everyone is doing well today! sending lots of love.
  15. gosh that's a good looking breakfast...i love me some grapefruit
  16. that's so cool!!! your brain works so differently from mine and i love this so much! what do you use for the scales?
  17. Hey gang, I fell off hard this last week, which happens! Just a few steps back, just gotta get back into it is all. It's been a pretty rough week generally, and my coping has been food since i've been too busy to sleep, or spend time playing video games or making music or anything. i'm just trying to get through right now. Fortunately i get to spend the weekend with my kiddos, which i'm pretty excited for. but otherwise the next couple of days i'll just survivie lol trying to point water and just stay alive so
  18. ouf not really, but today after work i'm getting tacos with a buddy and then i'm playing smash with another buddy and i might just chill and read for the day.
  19. Hello! Lastnight i really had trouble not munching, so i kind of munched all night. Tonight though i'm doing well. I'm in my calories and i also started my fast around 4p, i drank my gallon of water as well. I'm having a rough night and my brain is SCREAMING that i need taco bell after work, but i'll be fine without it(i can always go tomorrow and get it) I don't know why i'm struggling so hard today but i think i might be burnt out. who knows. Anyways. Hope you're all well
  20. HEyo! It's a boy! I had a delicous couple of eggs and tomato toast for breakfast, a hot turkey and egg sandwich, for lunch and then a couple poached eggs and some snackies along the way BUT i definately had some sausage alfredo for supper that put me over my calories. Fast started at 4:40p, but oof i know i went over, my guys asked me very nicely to eat with them at work, and so i did. Doing the double again, BUT i did drink a gallon of water so. I'm doin okay. I think it's important to not put TOO much weight on stuff like that, i hit one of my goals today, i also got to work at 8 and didn't break fast until about ten, so i think i'm doing pretty ok. Anyways, I'm gonna do some walking on the track in the basement and work on pillaging forward in my book! I'd like to finish it before the month is done, so i've got a few days.
  21. Heyo! so I broke my fast after getting home from work last night and kinda snacked a little after that, which was a bummer, as a result i didn't track my foods today because if i had i would have stressed myself out about it and not eaten anything to make up for having eaten last night. SO I ate until 3:30 pm today, feeling good and full lol i didn't track but i know i had ramen and a hot pocket and some eggs. I'll call today a "cheat day". but back at it, working through my gallon of water. Feeling great about that, I love having a water bottle but something about pounding through a gallon of water really just, moves me the right way. I didn't do anything active today because i was doing tik tok songs and then i was at work and we got three new guys at my building today and that was a bit chaotic. Additionally i've started making the meals for my residents so that takes some time as well. Tomorrow i'll talk one of my guys into walking on the track with me! For now i'm gonna read for a bit and pound out this water
