All good! Today is my technical last day of the week as I take Saturday off from jogging and have a "cheat day" but still eat and go to bed early. So this week all points were hit. 1) Walk 30km every week. Completed! I walked 33km in total this week. 2) Eat 60g of protein a day. Completed! I ate a little over 60g of protein each day. 3) Go to bed at a curfew each day. Completed! I went to bed on time every day. 4) Drink 2.5L of water every day. Completed! I drank well over 3L a day. I have noticed that my body is super peculiar about what it takes in now. If I eat bread or anything with flour at all my energy just belly flops. If I eat just pure protein and vegetables my energy soars. I am trying to be super careful about what I eat now so that I can continue to go hard. Cabbage and broccoli are my two new go to vegetables as they are super easy to cook and are super awesome. Thanks for the inquiry!

Well, week one is all well and good and I`m feelin` real fine. So for week 1 I am doing real well. I am seeing some good changes in my body and my energy levels which is pretty epicly awesome. So, one week down and 3 weeks more to go.

I walk a big circuit around my neighborhood. I mapped it out with the measure function on Google Maps which was handy. I do a big circuit and one circuit from door to door is 5.5km. It worked out well.

All pistons firing! I have shaved roughly 10 minutes off of my walk. This started when I was walking and felt like I had extra energy so started to do a "walk until I want to run and then run until I want to walk" idea. So far I am now run/jogging for about 30 seconds three times a walk which is nice. Also I am keeping up with my water and protein which is really nice and heading to bed nice and early each day. I have discovered that different types of protein have different effects on my run. If I eat lean pork then go for a run then I want to go hard but today I had tuna and I slowed down noticeably. Tomorrow I`ll go back to pork for breakfast for a couple days and then try chicken to see if chicken slows me down or keeps me the same. So all in all, so far so good! Thank you very much for asking! How about yourself? Do you have a challenge up and going if so how is it going?

Hello Rebels! I am new to this site and am super pumped to start my first challenge. I wanted to start something manageable but something that will push me a bit. I then added a bunch of little challenges to support my big challenge. So here we go! Big Challenge -To walk 30km a week. As of right now I walk about 15 kilometers a week so I know that I can do this. I really enjoy walking and I know that this is very doable for me. Support Challenges - Drink 2.5L of water a day. It is important to drink lots of water as we all know. As I am going to be walking so much I need to keep hydrated throughout the day so this is a supportive challenge. - Eat 60g of protein a day. Walking so much I will try to eat 60g of protein a day to help build muscles. Also, protein fills you up longer so I will eat less and forces me to cook my own food at home so I will eat out less and cook more vegetables to go with the protein. - Go to sleep at curfew each night. Sleep is important for, well, everything. I will go to bed each night at curfew to help me keep well rested and energized for walking each day. As this is my first challenge I really want to make a go of it. I think that walking 30km a week for a month will really help boost up my energy, lose weight and help me get into shape. I`ll keep posting here during the challenge to help keep me on track and all that. Good luck in your endeavors and your own challenges! Bzorp!
  7. Hello people on the forum! I signed up to nerd fitness four days ago and am really impressed at the system that is in place and how well my nerdiness has been satisfied with classes and how satisfying it is clicking "completed" in the little boxes. All in all I`m super happy that I found this place. A little about myself I guess. I am 33 and have been fat almost my entire life from age 13. It came to a head when I was 25 and I was wearing size 48 pants. My size 48 pants were too tight so I went into a store looking for a new pair and the clerk said that they didn`t have my size and that I could try the big and tall store down the street for men of my proportion. I was absolutely humiliated and after getting super mad at myself for allowing myself to get to such a condition I cracked down on my life style. Slowly but surely over the years I have lost weight and now I am at a much better size 38 pants and feeling much better about myself and my place in the world. I am still on the fat side and am far from athletic but I could live with that. That was until I got married and now my wife and I are talking about having kids. I grew up in a house of obesity and I promised myself that I would not let my kids do the same and that they would grow up with a parent that plays outside, takes them for hikes and goes swimming rather than watches TV with them from a couch. So here I am, having lost a lot of weight but still a lot left to go before my goal of healthy Dad is met. Now that you have an idea of where I am from I could use a hand in obtaining my goals as I don`t quite know where to go. This site has a lot of great features but I don`t understand a lot like why some quests for different classes are locked and what camps are. I`m looking for a mentor to help me navigate the site and point out what a lot of the features are. If anyone could give me a hand with site navigation that would be awesome! I look forward to being part of this community! Bzorp
