  3. Hi Fellow NF'ers, Hope that everyone is doing well and up to date with their challenge objectives. I have just respawned (since I did a Level 1 challenge earlier this year) and thought that I would start off with the Level 1 challengers as that's probably where I am in life right now. I'm also joining this challenge in the middle of the challenge, so what I've decided to do is use the rest of the 2 weeks to properly assess my dreams and goals and figure out what exactly I want to achieve, and then move to the appropriate guild from the next challenge. My Goals for this challenge are: 1. Complete my full life goal list and broken down SMART goals. This may sound like it should be something that I should do in the week before the challenge, but I have found that my life is busy and not only do I need to plan out my challenges but I also need to balance my work\family\personal life (which is the challenging part of it). Then my next challenge I'll plan in activities that are helping me achieve these goals. 2. Form a Forum habit - I'm not great and admin, so I would like to create a proper battle log on here and list my fitness activities (and maybe some other personal achievements) so that it keeps me honest. Hopefully by the time the next challenge starts I'll be fairly in the routine of keeping this up to date.   5. Quest #1 - Slay the Fat Dragon - Vitality Quest (Note: This is for the full 2017, not just this challenge) Quest Completion Criteria: Reach 12% Body Fat Summary: I’m aiming high here. Currently my body fat percentage is in the 25% range. It’s going to take lots of cardio and lifting to get in shape. Worth it. Side Quests for Feb-Mar challenge (+2 STR, +1 STA) . Do 25 consecutive push ups - I've done 21 consecutive push up's and continuing to work on this (Have also entered this fun PvP - https://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/95154-you-want-me-to-do-what-push-ups-212-34/ ) . Do 1 chin up - Tough, will attempt at the end of the challenge. COMPLETED. Monday 6th March . Squat 50kgs (roughly half my body weight) x5 reps - COMPLETED Tuesday 14th Feb. . Deadlift 50kgs (roughly half my body weight) x5 reps - COMPLETED. Wednesday 22nd Feb. Quest #2 – Love thy Wife, Love thy Son – Family Quest (Note: This is for the full 2017, not just this challenge) Quest Completion Criteria: TBA Side Quests for Feb-Mar challenge (+1 CHA) . Have "Date Night" atleast once with my wife - COMPLETED: Monday 13th Feb. Took the wife out for a date . Change at least 1 nappy per day - On track for this *still*. Just to add more comment here, I also bath Matthew (my baby) everyday which is generally where this nappy change comes in. Quest #3 – Connect to the Light – Spiritual Quest (Note: This is for the full 2017, not just this challenge) Quest Completion Criteria: TBA Side Quests for Feb-Mar challenge (+1 WIS) . Decide on which Church to be a part of. Haven't started. Meh, might not reach this goal.   11. Sorry for the delay, was wanting to attempt this on the weekend but had a baby that didn't want me going to the gym. Went to the gym today, BOOM, 5 body weight chinups, then 4 body weight chinups, then 3 body weight chinups. See below proof of purchase Disclaimer: 1.   12. Wow, arms are broken. My quest is to do 1 body weight chin up, which is pretty challenging at 100kgs. Best I've managed is to have 10kgs assisted, which is pretty damn close and I should be able to do the 1 chin up by the end of the challenge. Anyways, at gym today I decided to do 5 chin ups every minute with the weight reducing (i.e. my chin up becoming easier) by 5kgs for 15 minutes. Minute #01 - 5 reps - 20kgs assisted Minute #02 - 5 reps - 25kgs assisted Minute #03 - 5 reps - 30kgs assisted Minute #04 - 5 reps - 35kgs assisted Minute #05 - 5 reps - 40kgs assisted Minute #06 - 5 reps - 45kgs assisted Minute #07 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted (kept the weight at 50 from here down) Minute #08 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #09 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #10 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #11 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #12 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #13 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #14 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Minute #15 - 5 reps - 50kgs assisted Even with the 50kgs that's a lot of reps and ended up being tough. Hopefully it works, Saturday or Sunday will be test day for me to do my numero uno pull up

  14. I bought myself a massive ankle brace, called a Shock Doctor 851, I ran 6km yesterday (slowly) in 40 minutes on a relatively flat road track. Ankle is slightly sore today so might keep it easy for a bit longer. To be honest I think I need to drop the distance a little while starting out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  16. Thanks! Have been icing and elevating, have found that Voltaren works well too. New baby is going fairly well, we seem to have our good days and our bad days. Nappy changes aren't too bad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I struggle with pull-ups, i weight 100kgs which makes it tough. Am able to do it with assisted at -20kgs, but with no assistance I can't even do 1 . I doubt your form would be off, a pull up action is quite easy to see what to do, but maybe record yourself and check? Just to note here, Deadlift is an amazing compound exercise to do for your body as it works out a ton of muscles, but doing 4x5 is going to be tough. I currently just do 1x5 and that's enough to deliver the muscle.
  18. The above was from my intro, I went for a quick treadmill run today at the gym. 2.5km in 20 minutes, short and slow, but felt good to do some running again. My ankle is slightly sore now, I'm going to try and find a hardcore ankle guard that I can wear.
