1. Goal: to be able to jog/run a full half-mile by challenge end. Goal: to get one ride per week in (ride > 5 miles) Goal: to do a chin up
2. Oh, I should mention, between my previous posting, June of 2012, and now, I went back up to 263 lbs. Mentally, and physically I was nearly destroyed by a series of - well, let's just call it life, shall we? - events, and am now well on the way to recovery. Life is good. Silva method of mind control AND Quantum Jumping are my new friends. with them, I've gotten myself to here, now. I'm wearing Lee jeans, size 16 petite. That's in the regular side of the store. Lee jeans are slim cut, too. That's me grinning ->
3. I've set & accepted a challenge with a friend to run in the 2018 Multi-agency 5K run in Olympia WA. Today, I did interval runs using streetlights as markers. I'm using UP Move & Mapmyfitness, and according to them, I did 2.55 miles in 19:37 m/s. This includes darting into the grass/gravel, hopping up on rocks and back off, and the occasional berry picking (blackberries are RIPE). So... I'm working on improving stamina, speed, strength, lose more of the excess flab thats starting to hang, and get my leaky gut completely healed. I forget all the cool stuff I'm supposed to post here. Anyway, I'm scouting... I'll be adding in bike rides, too, as I live closer to the Chehalis Western Trail now, too. Peace out!
4. As soon as I remember how to change my avatar, I will. I'm back. I'm reintroducing myself... three years later. my life, how things change! This is pretty awesome, however... I'm doing a lot of personal development, meditation, finally addressing and healing my leaky gut (fibre is the enemy. Absolutely. For me. No gluten, no dairy, and as little fibre as I can manage. Oh, and no dried fruit ), losing weight so fast my skin is really working at keeping up - it is. But it's working hard at it. Cannabis helps immensely, for almost all of my health challenges. It's been a great three years! anyway, taking a three-year look at things. Wow, I've come a really long way in three years! Then: Now: Today I Walked/Jogged ... alternating streetlights... from Tumwater Falls park all the way down to Heritage park in Olympia. Yep. I did that. I still have a NF sticker on the back of my car, and a NF workout tank I'll be rocking occasionally. I'll be showing up occasionally recording progress. Oh, and I have a goal. I'm running a 5K multi-agency challenge in spring of 2018. Three years. .. well, just under. This is one of my three-year goals. So today was a step in that direction. Peace out
5. and... here I am. Sorry, but I was on a hiatus there for awhile while my life blew up. in 2007 I hit 300 lbs. I have a photo around here somewhere. Yeah, that was 300 lbs. I'm currently around 190 lbs. I went Paleo/primale, but then discovered that I have leaky gut, can't have gluten or dairy (no dairy), and got a whole lot of other health and wellness issues clarified, diagnosed, and under treatment. Cannabis is my friend. So, today... TODAY, I put one foot in front of the other... and, rather quickly in some spots... and started my training for the 5K challenge I'll be running (and finishing... with a medal!) in 2018. A good friend of mine committed to running it with me.. and she has run marathons. I still have the NF sticker on the back bumper of my car, and my NF workout tank fits me way better than when I got it... and she's back!
6. She's baaaaaaaaaack!

7. Just a note to share some joy... I've performed three same-sex weddings so far, now that wa legalized it.
8. My BP has dropped like a rock since I went Paleo/Primal. I believe that, for me, grains & soy products, and PUFAs, were what contributed to my hypertension.
9. Smoked salmon Bacon Ham Steak & veggies Soup Ground beef & onions Chicken (wrapped in bacon...) IF you can handle dairy (and can include it), greek yogurt with berries and chopped macadamia nuts
10. This has all the hallmarks of an emotionally abusive relationship. I have some experience with such, and I want to share a thought or two. The dynamics of abusive relationships are difficult to untangle from. This is a dance you two are engaged in - not only him, but you. It took me a couple of years to work my way through getting out of an abusive marriage, and then discovering how I was contributing to the dance... and healing myself, so that I could be in an equal, supportive relationship. While it may seem easy enough to say "just dump him", be aware that, unless you address your own issues, your next relationship won't really be any better. It will take some time, and it might be easier with some assistance, but deep inside of you, your view of your own self has to change for the better. It can happen - it did for me. I wish you great success.
11. I saw that the Kindle (plain old ordinary one) is now $69 at Staples. Go for it.
12. <insert female perspective> NEVER date anyone related to a she bro. It is a total slap in the face. </end f p>
13. Me too... However, we do have a cat. Does that qualify as a beast? I'm sure she thinks she is the owner, and we are merely her slaves, here to pamper her. She is a rescue kitty.
14. I've had mine for some time now... well, actually its my second one, since my first one broke. They replaced it, though! I'm RaeVynn at fitbit, too.
15. Replying just to be subscribed. Oh, and hats, worn with panache, are great.
16. I'm a Nook fan. Still love my Nook. eInk rocks. I love that I can get ebooks pretty much anywhere that work on it. I can side load whatever, onto the SD card, and can read stuff.
17. Crio bru... Wonderful beverage you brew from ground cacao beans. We do a french press of it mixed with coffee. There are non gluten forms of booze, if you can easily tolerate it, but it will slow down some of the benefits of paleo-primal.
18. I am the poster child for "weird" *grin* I wear my VFFs to work most days. I was the Vegan... now I'm the one that doesn't eat any goodies. I have a wingding at work for next month (bouncy things on springs you wear on your head...).. I am on the phone all day, why not make it fun? My 50th birthday, I wore a tiara all day at work. That said "50" on it. And blinked. With maribou trim. I've covered my new bike with prismatic reflective tape. Not just "for safety", but in cool patterns! I love rolling down grassy slopes. My husband and I played tag around our neighborhood (wind sprints!)... My car is a Dalmatian. Seriously.
19. This ^^ In our economy, a lot of people cannot afford much more than cheap, filling food. Plus, they are getting Food Bank/USDA Commodity foods... all of which tend to be starch. Starch is cheap. Corn is cheap. This includes pasta, beans, rice, breads... all great ways to fill tummies for very little money. All designed to exacerbate obesity. Something else to consider, is all those "diseases of obesity" could very well be caused by underlying reactions to all the grain & starch (sugars)... metabolic syndrome is not caused by obesity... it is caused by what we eat.. which leads, often, THOUGH NOT ALWAYS, to obesity.
20. I use Fitocracy... I'm Cronewynd there (someone else stole my usual 'Net name..)
21. You guys are all so awesome, it makes me almost wish I were single, so I could date you! I did meet my husband online, though I did have to meet/date a few others through match.com... Most important thing I could tell you, is be honest. Don't play up your negatives, but don't make up positives. Okay, carry on.
22. So we went on a bike ride yesterday with a couple of my work friends, both tall skinny dudes who ride FAST... like 17 -18 mph average. They were gracious, and rode a bit slower than normal to start off with, helping to challenge us to ride a bit faster than our usual 5 - 7 mph pace... We ended up sticking with them for about 10 miles, doing about 10 - 11 mph! Then, they took off to push each other for the next 20 miles ("Bye guys, have fun!"). They caught up with us on the way back to the trailhead, and then at the car again. It was a good ride! Oh, and the faster one said that "we should do this again.. it was great having a slower start and warming up, and you guys are quick enough that it's fun, too" 36 miles, and we feel much less thrashed than we did the last time we rode that trail.
23. We live near the coast in washington state... Yes it rains a lot, no you don't have to shovel it. It is very temperate, weather wise. Very outdoors friendly. We can easily go to the beach, or the rainforest, the olympics mointains, , or hit some great bike trails.
