  1. Thanks for the reply! Yeah I've been hitting a pretty balanced diet with portioned chicken/pork and greens. I'll try the heavier weights lower reps then! What do you normally do, like upper body one day and the next lower or like a well rounded one to start out with?
  2. Hi! I just joined up with you guys last week and I'm trying to figure out a good work out plan for me. To give some physical details I'm 27 years old, 5' 11" and about 225 lbs. I want to get back down to my healthy weight of 175-185 lbs. I've started with cardio already and haven't really been setting distances just more time intervals. For instance, jogging for 20-30 minutes. I've been forcing myself to eat veggies and cut out soda completely. I have a gym membership and am about to start going because I want to also become stronger. I've always been top heavy, even when I did legs all the time when I was younger. Probably more of a diet issue than activity and my arms always get big. It looks like I'm flexing my arms but I'm not. I've been trying to find a good workout for me that would even me out overall. I've been reading up on some free weight training and that seems to be the best route for me to go. Something along the lines of low weight and high reps seems to be the best but I'm not sure? Just looking for some suggestions because I'm wanting to hit the gym soon, but would like a game plan when I get in there so I don't look like a deer in the headlights lol.
