  1. You know, as long as you are happy and content, and trying to be healthy, I don't think weight really matters. And it sounds like you don't think it matters either, so just let what your friends are saying roll off your back, and try not to take it personally.
  2. I'm so sorry you're not feeling well, Heidi. Did you have your interview, or did I misread when it was?
  3. Hey Rowan!! Don't be one of those authors that leaves their readers hanging with their stories.
  4. You're doing awesome! Keep smashing those records!
  5. Heidi and Sunmage, thank you for the encouragement. I think I'm going to hold off on the yoga certification, because it is expensive, and I want to think on it a little more before I spend that kind of money. I am Eve, I found out I really like fennel too. It came in my weekly produce basket that I get, and I had never had it before, so I had to look up recipes.
  6. The Four Agreements are: Be impeccable with your word, don't take anything personally, don't make assumptions, and do your best. I liked most of the ideas in the book, but in the end there was too much repetition for me to truly enjoy it. I'm here. Since my goal is not to use the computer when my kids are home, weekends are harder to get on here and update. And I've just been so busy, too. Everything is going well. I'm still on track with my yoga workout schedule that I made. I haven't missed a day yet. I'm doing pretty well with getting fruits and veggies in. Computer goal is going good too. I still haven't done anything else with getting a yoga area set up. Last night I had my mom over for dinner for her birthday, and I made a really nice dinner (if I do say so myself). It was a marinated flat iron steak, fennel and pear salad, and roasted potatoes. It was a lot of work, though. And lastly, I'm thinking of becoming certified in yoga teacher training, but then I'm a little scared to do it. I don't really like to talk in front of people. But I think I need to let go of my insecurities a little bit.
  7. You are doing awesome, Heidi! I picked up The Tao of Pooh at the library, but won't get to it until I finish The Four Agreements.
  8. Your thread is always so fun to read. Keep up the good work!
  9. It was such a cool place. I felt like I was walking through Middle Earth or something. Or at least, I always like to pretend that's what I'm doing when I'm out walking or hiking. I forgot to say before that I started reading a book called The Four Agreements. Has anyone read it? It's wonderful so far.
  10. I love your stories, Rowan. At first I was like yay, a cave! But then it turned into boo, the cave is scary. So it sounds like week one wasn't the best for you, but every day is a brand new chance to do better.
  11. I've been away for a few days, and am catching up all of those days you've written on your thread. My thoughts are: I kind of want cookies now, neat animals, and also you are doing great!
  12. There's still plenty of week left to get all your stuff in. You can do it!
  13. Wednesday Recap: Yoga: I did this Yin Yoga workout. It was nice, but nothing special. Food: Got plenty of fruits and veggies in. I used my juicer and probably got all five servings in at breakfast. Then I had a salad for lunch. And quesadillas with spinach and tomato for dinner. Computer: I'm doing fine not using my computer while the boys are home. I have grabbed my iPod to check Pinterest or whatever, and I need to cut that out too because that's just as bad as the computer. Will start including that in my goal from now on as well. Life goal: Have not done anything beyond the looking at it that I did last week. Pictures from our hike:
  14. Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't checked in for a bit. We went camping, and then I've just been busy, and honestly I haven't been doing NF challenges for so long that I kind of forget about checking in here. My boys will be home from school any minute. I didn't do very well with my eating goal while I was camping, and then a couple of days beyond. I've done well except for one day with my computer goal. And I'm on track with my yoga workout schedule. While camping we went on my favorite hike I've ever done. It was a gorgeous hike up to some hot springs. My camera broke during the hike, so I only have pictures from the beginning, and none of the beautiful hot springs. I was so bummed. I'll try to share a couple of pictures tomorrow, because the hike on the way up was also beautiful.
  15. Ack! I'm peeking in here really quick, but I just realized that my boys are home, and I am using a computer to do so. We are about to leave on a camping trip. I'll report back when I get home.
  16. I'm coming in late to follow your challenge, but I have loved reading through it. All of the turtle gifs, first off, are just lovely. And I just really like your enthusiasm.
  17. Wednesday Recap: Yoga: Did Yin Yoga with Esther Ekhart. Sometimes it's nice to just slow things down a lot. And I really like Esther. She is so calming and centered. Food: I think I might switch up my food goal a little bit. It's kind of hard to quantify 80% clean eating without writing every single thing down. And I don't want to do that. I want to focus more on eating good foods. So I'm going to change it to eating 5+ servings of fruits and veggies a day, 3 of those have to be veggies. I did eat clean today, though. Computer: Turned it off. This is almost too easy. Life goal: Nothing today
  18. Thanks for the encouragement! There's not a whole lot of junk in there, just a lot of big things that I don't really know if I'm going to be able to get rid of, or if I'll have to rearrange or what. I need to have a good sit down with my husband and talk it through. He is kind of a pack rat and never wants to get rid of anything, while I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. It makes things interesting. Hey Erick! So nice to see you!
  19. You're doing so awesome Raxie. I mean really, really, really awesome.
  20. I like that you are trying to find the positives of moving back to Shanghai, even though it's not exactly where you want to be.

    2nd challenge

How's your challenge going so far?
  22. I am feeling so tired today. I have absolutely no energy. Tuesday Recap: Yoga: Did this Energizing Morning Yoga Routine. It was alright. I didn't love the flow of it, but I do like this instructor. Food: Ate good most of the day. Also ate black licorice candy. But it's gone now and can't tempt me anymore. No computer: Turned off my computer when the boys got home from school. Not even missing it in the evenings. Life goal: Went downstairs and looked at the room in the basement. Felt very overwhelmed. Don't even know where to begin.
  23. Hello! Good goals, all of them. I'm trying to eat more fruits and veggies this challenge too. I think it's a good idea to focus on eating more of what you should eat, rather than what you can't or shouldn't eat.
  24. Your trip sounds amazing, and I'm super jealous, like everyone else. I can't wait to hear all about it.
  25. So nice to see you, Raxie!
