  1. Hey guys, I'm pretty green around here and would like to enter. I'll run one over the next couple days and see what I get, hopefully under 6:30. Just wondering though, do you guys have a system of validating these times or do you just take people at their word?
  2. +1 Take it easy with deadlifts (real ones from the floor, not Smith machine) until you're confident in your technique. You can always drop the bar anyway. Dumbbell squats are also a good challenge. Add in some lunges etc and your legs will be on fire.

  5. Hello, Just figured I'd say hello. Stumbled across the site a few days ago, thought I'd sign up. I'm here to get back into the gym and increase my strength. I've got the aerobic stuff covered at the moment (keen runner and cyclist), but I need to start lifting again (i.e. Monday). It's been a while since I've done regular resistance work, so I'm looking forward to getting my deads and squats increasing again. Looks like I'll need to make a training log, so expect to see one pop up soon. Helo.
