  1. Never feel bad about doing the right thing for you. You are awesome sauce. Capital Letters AWESOME SAUCE! NOW WITH EXCLAMATION POINTS!!! Seriously though, you're a champ. Just keep doing what's right for you and you'll be golden.
  2. Morning weight: 237 lbs., so I'm still on track.
  3. Ahhhh....ok, that makes sense. I seem to be getting my notifications for others that I am following (like yours), so should be good now. Thanks also for the kind words. I'm having fun and feeling better regardless, so that can't be bad, right?
  4. Do I have to follow my own thread or do I not know how to get notifications for my own topics? Sorry...I totally missed your comments, friends. I can't haz teknologees. I give myself an F across the board. I'm not even going to go back and count. But...I am actually making progress. Just not in the ways that I set up for the challenge. I'm just not historically good at challenges...lol. I've been meditating about 50% of the time, which is 100% more than I normally do. I've also been playing racquetball a couple of times a week (sweating my ace off) and doing assisted pullup/dips about 4 days a week. A little bike riding. Cut my Diet Coke drinking down to about 20 oz every other day, which is HUGE - mostly because I'm mostly not eating out. Drinking more water and coffee instead (more water than coffee obvs.) I'm not totally ditching the challenge, but we'll see how I do at following what I'm actually "supposed" to be doing. I don't care how many times I flounder these challenges, it will stick one of these times. Besides, I like hanging out with you nerds.
  5. Be careful. A zombie's sense of smell is better than it's sense of hearing. But I guess it doesn't matter if you're outrunning them.
  6. Nualaaaaaa! I give myself an F across the board. I'm not even going to go back and count. But...I am actually making progress. Just not in the ways that I set up for the challenge. 7. oh. my. god. I want to LIVE on the rock ocean! I want to climb on it every day! I LOVE it!!!
  8. That whole jackhammer thing sounds craptastic. Also, right there with you...I HATE it when people don't listen in situations like that. Gar. But...you seem to be holding up well under the circumstances. I mean, you haven't killed anyone yet (that we know of), so I'd say that's a win. One thing you could consider as well is regularly posting a moment or a couple of moments during the day when you DID feel good or your stress levels were low. That way, it's easier to focus on and learn from what is going right/when it's going right. I do this sometimes because it helps redirect me in the direction of what I want to move towards instead of what I want to move away from.
  9. Ugh...totally menstrual right now so pretending that Friday didn't even happen (no, no...my score will reflect it...I know.) Saturday will be better. Also, not getting enough sleep is effing up everything about this challenge for me, soooo...going to try to focus on that unofficially (I say, typing this at 3:27 am).
  10. Omg...that is amazing! Yes, I hope she is doing ok. Also, I totally look forward to her book coming out. <3
  11. This whole post is awesome and hilarious and really needs to be animated by Allie Brosh. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/
  12. Yeah...I like the idea of the workout, but the idea needs work...lol.
  13. If by pathetic you mean awesome, then totally! Good job getting out there! I am planning on getting a mountain bike soon too, so I'm vicariously excited!
  14. Thaaaaanks! This first week is kind of slapdash and I'm not sticking to my plan very well, but I'm doing some things right anyway which is better than doing everything wrong. I punked out of the last challenge, so wasn't sure I wanted to drag my tail between my legs, back to the next challenge, but here I am! I'm planning on having my schedule more squared away as I begin week two. Still...this week feels GOOD!
  15. I really like all of the discussion about stretching. I'm doing the Slayer Training workout thing and I suspect I will modify it before the end with better exercises/sets. But...we all gotta start somewhere and see what works. Hope your toe is better!
