  1. Hello Countess, I soooo feel you! It is times like this that I don't miss college AT ALL. I got my associates last winter and will probably start working on my bachelors this fall. I am a tiny grasshopper on top of a small mountain looking up at a much bigger one...sigh... At least you are almost Done Ms. Fleaball...
  2. Hello Kvedulf. Thanks for the encouragement. What Activities am I looking to do? Right now, I've been using a lot of You Tube videos, logging the time I send shopping and cleaning (both can be quite a workout even when I don't realize it...). I hope to expand to walking just for exercise. I let my youngest drag me out so he could ride his scooter last Friday; he rode, i walked briskly and worked in a smidge of lunges and squats. (I really have to watch what I do--bad knees and a family history of such to boot. My mom had knee replacements in her mid-50's in large part because of be
  3. Hi Fleaball, I love your name. Well, so far i have managed to lose at least 4 pounds in the last few weeks. I've at least been logging what I eat and have been working out some: cleaning, mowing my BFF's lawn, child-wrangling (my 11-yr-old is sneaky!), etc. I also discovered the Maximum Ride series, Young Audience Sci-fi by James Patterson and binged-read all of them last week (Nine books?!? Geez, I NEED a life! LOL. Or just need to start living more instead of reading quite so much...) How did ya get to be a Level 5 battle Kitten? Sounds intimidatingly adorable!
  4. Hello T. Rose, Your goals are well stated this time. Good luck with everything. Especially the "not going back for seconds" one. That one can be a trip spot for me too. Keeping a food journal of some kind helps me: seeing the calories increasing because I "wasn't thinking, just noshing" is a great deterrent.
  5. Hello Fox! I love your name. (Yours too, Ms. Tyrannosaurs Rose.) At 158lbs, doesn't sound like you have a lot of work to do to someone who hasn't seen that weight since my early teens. But, I admire anyone who wants to get healthy. Nosy Question: Is your betrothed coming with you? If so, maybe you can give me some hints on how to get my spouse of 20+ years to stop yammering about needing to 'do something' to actually hitting the trail. Happy traveling to all! Rainsong

I was told by some important folks that I should come in and introduce myself and let y’all know why I want to be a Rebel. Here to better my life over the long term. I’m a member of the YMCA and I’m using their Activtrax program to monitor my noshing and movements. 7. Wow Madam Fleaball, you must be able to format charts waaaay faster than me. Took me like hours just to do one chart. (Took Statistics and retained a bit about Excel--not enough to be helpful). I actually consider myself kinda lucky that I've never really had a fast non-dinosaur computer. Means I don't get as irritated at my darling's stutterings/shortcomings since I've never worked with anything better. Happy writing! Rainsong
