  1. Wow you sound like a bit of a chef! Looking forward to more dinner creations. Love trying new stuff!
  2. Oh it's on YouTube! Awesome, might try before I buy yeh I absolutely agree, she is the only DVD fitness guru I would follow. I have the shred too And barely make it through level 1. I'm not gluten intolerant either, I don't think? Nor lactose intolerant. But my partner is, poor thing, so best I go along with him. I definitely feel much better... Probably just a combination of eating well and exercising, sleeping well and not stressing I hope you have your aha moment! DH = darkhorse??
  3. Dinner sounds yum! Might have to try your parsnip and leek hash. I was actually looking at the Jillian Michaels yoga dvd yesterday - one of my goals is to become more flexible, but knowing her, it's too hard out for someone like me. How are you finding it? Strict paleo for 30 days is going to be awesome. My partner and I have just cut out wheat entirely (we were 80% paleo), and are noticing the difference. Even beer is out (and we're in the middle of a hot summer!) but we've found NorCal margaritas and it hit's the spot! Just once a week though Have you read The Paleo Solution? I've just finished it, so i'm sorry if i sound like a bit of a preacher about it (now and in other posts!) but it really gives you a great understanding of the chemical reactions in your body when you eat certain things. And gives you an appreciation of how and why to balance your meals with proteins, fats, and veggies. If you're into the science behind it, i highly recommend it. Good luck for day 2!
  4. Hahaha, true! did you make the sweet potatoes as well? That helps it go further?
  5. Lunches are the hardest for me too, but usually we make an effort to make extras for dinner, so I can take leftovers to work. Here are some of the top sites I use: Paleo Australia Fast Paleo Civilized Caveman and pretty much my staple site is PaleOMG A giant batch of Smokey Bacon Chili made on the weekend should last you a few days, and it's soooo good. Check out Pinterest too - just type in paleo followed by whatever you feel like
  6. Awesome, thanks all. Have linked her into this thread to read the responses
  7. LOL, thanks Will pass that on!
  8. I love my (mostly) paleo lifestyle, and am happy to (mostly) follow the recommendations. I've been doing it for a few months. I do it because I feel a lot better and i'm loving it. My cousin just told me she's thinking of "giving the paleo diet a go" and asked "What would you suggest for a very hungry labourer to take to work for lunch? (He usually takes a whole loaf of bread's worth of sandwiches)" My first response was "holy crap that's a lot of bread", then "I'll ask the NF community" as I only know what works for me. So if anyone has any reasons, advice, suggestions or even recipes, it'd be much appreciated! I'm thinking fritatta? thanks
  9. How about a towel or a sheet? As long as you keep it taut?
  10. W00t, congrats on your success so far! Good luck, looking forward to reading the joy seeking posts
  11. That's a great idea! I've seen origami inspired clothing and home decor, but not artwork! Can't wait to see what you come up with
  12. If they were all successful then awesome! Keep going... practice really makes perfect. Also, having perfectly squared pieces of paper (preferably origami paper). Crane is good to get an understanding of the different types of folds. is also good for that. You'll see a lot of people spending time getting the folds accurate. That really helps in the long run.Oh fun! I want to fold some more too I've made some crazy stuff... but still a baby compared to the work of Satoshi Kamiya. Just amazing.
  13. That is so pretty! Braiding your own hair is hard, i feel your pain. What have you tried making so far, origami wise?
  14. Hey Puma! Love your goals. What is french braiding? Tried to google, but it only gave me hair styles? I wrote my thesis on origami... well, instructional information design and the use of interactive technology to enhance understanding of origami folding processes, to be precise! There are definitely different levels of folding skills, and it takes a certain skill set to translate flat instructions into reality. My suggestion is to start with easy creations... I'll have a look when i get home, and figure out which ones I classed as easy, if you like I love origami! Also love all of your other life goals - I can highly highly recommend hot air ballooning. I went with a friend for her 60th, she was absolutely terrified of heights, and gripped my hand so tight, but loved it! You're rocking through your goals, it's awesome to see Have you had any luck making your own condiments?
