    Depression fights Countess D'If

Sending good vibes. You are strong and this seems a Boss Battle. I'm one of the minions here ready to help if I can in any way.
  2. They basically refused to treat my PCOS with pills for 10 years because I was 'fat' effectively messing up with my food relationship and making me become fat. I then went into treatment and life was good! But now I can't take the same treatment and need to use food to manage it. That I can (mostly) do because I am mature enough to understand that I'm using food to heal and not that I should be ashamed of myself for my body. Ok, I'm still harsh sometimes, but at least I have the emotional maturity to see the difference. As a teenager it was really messing up with my brain! No one explained to me (nor my mom) that the protein role in all this, they fat shamed me, disbelieved me on what I was eating, insulted my mom for how she cooked (regardless of the fact that I have two sisters with none of these problems and we ate the same!). Sorry for the rant! I am so used to be mistreated for my weight that it was a surprise this didn't even mention it!
  3. These words show how far have you come since you started. It's a big step not to feel bad about yourself and I'm amazed with where you are! Was the 100 days of food freedom book of help in this path? Do you recommend it? I tried with food logs to figure this out, but it doesn't work for me. But I started paying attention to when I was having crying 'crisis' after my psycologist said that probably it was when I was tired (she says it's normal to be like this with the amount of stuff on my plate). That triggered a lightbulb and I started looking at emotions/energy/food relation. I'm not sure those data are accurate, but I think it's in the spirit of intuition.

    Diadhuit moves 2/2

I will need to move out my apt by 1st October. So my planning goes until then for now. Works in the house (new ensuite) will be from Tuesday for a couple of weeks. Public speaking 20th September Move out by 1st October (includes cleaning) Friend visiting next week (yes, in the house with works being carried on!) Interviewing candidates at work Preparing for hackathon at work Busiest time of the year workwise Works still to be done (maybe not this challenge): - paint the house - put some flooring down - big cleaning - assemble furniture - buy / assemble other furniture (including sofa, curtains, ...) In other words very stressful times!!! Goals: - physio exercises twice a day every day - dancing once per week - cook once per week - meditate / pray daily

It is! I have done 4 lessons so far, it's really good. I am taller the following day... I discussed this with the guy I'm going out with and and he asked if I would be offended if he doesn't do it [emoji23] note: he is waaaay more fit than I am, but got scared about how hard ballet is [emoji16] I think part is the fact I didn't have a douvet and it's getting cold. Part is that I'm so stressed right now that I can't rest my mind, so I start watching youtube to numb me, but obviously the blue light doesn't help! I see the difference between when I sleep and when I don't and I really need my beauty sleep!
  7. I have one that I like with sesame and lemon skin and pepper (and other things? Can't remember!) It's for fish and vegetables. I use it with soy sauce to fake a stir fry (can be real, but often it's steamed veggies) What herbs are in yours?
  8. I know, I get that too. I was prepared to tell the physio 'what would you say to a patient that is normal size?' and it was surprising to find someone that doesn't tell me to lose weight or that my problems are caused by my fat (well, he did say I might need a different bra, because I have a heavy chest, yet that's true that the weight unbalances me). It felt warm and welcoming to be treated like that! I don't feel 'too fat', but I have 'a big belly' and yes, I do feel self concious, but of all the things I have going on now, I really don't have time to worry about it...

A lot done today! Sat - physio exercises twice a day every day (unless dancing, max 1/week skipping) - no physio, but ballet - cook once per week - do frozen dumplings count? - in bed at 11 every working day, 12 weekends - this is not happening much. I have random days where I go early, others in which I go veeery late. Had no warm covers so had to buy some today. - meditate / pray daily (as little as: 'Goodmorning, I love you more and more and I feel God's love' acclamation is enough) - kind of happening, not always

    What causes yeur stress?
  11. How are you all doing? I had (and still have) very stressful times, but I haven't stop noticing... I notice three types of sugar cravings, the 'I'm tired, I thought too much today, my brain needs sugar', the 'I had sugar and I want more sugar' and the 'I haven't eaten (slept) in ages I need sugar now'. The first one is the one that I like the most, and feel more confident in honouring. The other two I might decide to go for or not, depending on what I think it's more self care (and what I have around). I notice that upping my protein and have a ham toast in the morning is reducing the sugars I have in the day I notice that eating enough vegetables makes me feel stronger and more focused the following day. I notice I don't have the irresistible fish cravings anymore, yet I'm still wanting fish sometimes (yes, still odd for me) Many of these can be 'duh!' moments for you, but feels good to have a reminder. Sugar is not evil, yet can give sugar crashes. Vitamins are essential for wellbeing. Proteins are necessary for PCOS people!

    BD Tries to Stick Around

Quat part of cooking do you hate? Because there might be different ideas you can use... Random examples: use a crockpot or a microwave if you hate waiting. Batch cooking if you hate the fact that is a daily task and never 'done'. Use partially prepared ingredients (thank God for frozen chopped onions!!).

Changing your own posture and mobility is a huge thing, right! But still comes with little improvements here and there. I am going to physiotherapy right now for that reason. The exercises he gave me are few minutes, even less and very easy! (he also stressed how the right bra can do miracles for women posture and back pain) I find that better posture relaxes me, I feel less pain and more energy. I think that since you have the stretches, it's not that dissimilar.

Thank God no one was hurt!! It seems one of those days where all goes wrong beside initial intentions and best effort. Take extra care of yourself in days like these!

    Tateman Goes Beyond, Plus Ultra!

So sorry to hear about your loss. It's normal that it makes you evaluate some things and brings back other feelings. And it's ok to take time for you and take care of you or neglect things that don't have an immediate result. It's a match, you'll win at the end

I wrote that post in a moment of no-hope. And I know it stems from eating very randomly in the last two days (on top of many other things). Thanks for the tips, and for ignore my tone. [emoji5]

Red Panda One gets back on the wagon

As with every diet and calorie counter my problem is that I mostly cook my meals from raw. How fatty/proteiny is my beef from the butcher? I dunno! So I start getting anxiety about tracking correctly or being so vague it does not make sense...

Thanks! I'll stick to toasting the bread from frozen though. Might freeze the content and assemble on the spot. But to be fair I found PCOS friendly home-made waffles and I want to try to make those instead. I could freeze them and toast them in the morning.

Bean Si vs Chaos – picking up pieces

Hate those Ethical classes. Is 'I'm too young to give a shit if old peple can use the internet and too rich to care if Zuckenberg is giving laptop for free to poor children so he can exploit them of their data' enough of an answer on digital divide? Not that I think you are like that Bean, but sometimes these teachers just want someone who brings an outrageous point of view.
