  1. Progress so far this week. Steps took a bit of a hit since I was working from home a few days. Very proud of the 3 day no alcohol streak (which I then proceeded to follow with 2 red days but we’ll get there)
  2. Wishing you the best on potential job front! Your tarot pull descriptions are wonderful. Would definitely be interested in reading more in the future should you decide to share them. I have a tarot deck myself but currently inconsistent in my practice.

  4. Fantastic! And also hi My partner and I have started to make the effort to walk before work starts each morning. When we succeed it’s really rewarding to make time for fresh air and conversation without devices/technology as a distractor. (Even if most of our walk ends up with venting about work lol)
  5. End of week 2 results. I crashed hard for the weekend and did not track Fri-Sun but would hazard a guess to say all goals were strongly in the reds, possibly yellow. This week is off to a stronger start. Though I really want a drink today I’m going to hold off until at least tomorrow, if only to say I did it.

  7. Thanks, and will do! I did see this meal prep video from a YouTube chef we follow and planning to try some of it out this weekend. Though I will say we have the family joke of needing to triple the time he gives for all his recipes lol. But I think that’s just because we need to level up our cooking and prep abilities.
  8. Even if not fully resolved it sounds like you both started the tough conversation and have a plan to hopefully move forward together. Take care of yourself, and remember it’s okay to dial plans back a bit on rough days! Migraines are especially evil! Sounds like playing with Sax and maybe some extra walking is a good plan B for when the full movement routine feels like too much with everything else going on. In the past I’ve also had success with tricking myself to do just one of each movement and see where I felt from there (sometimes I stopped at that, others I felt okay enough to continue the full workout).   9. Being slow to get back into good habits this week. Didn’t realize how much taking Monday off work threw me off, but I’ll get there. I also want to rethink/restructure the plan for alcohol. Weekdays I can usually keep to 0-2 drinks easier, but weekends (especially if I have my favorite beers in the house and we’re not out doing things) I just don’t stop after the first 2 or 3. Maybe I’ll look at some of my past challenges from 2017 when I was really on a roll and see what was working back then. It’s not an official goal, but I have been doing well with portion control and packing a healthy lunch for work. The cafeteria even had a rice bowl special yesterday that looked amazing and I chose to stick with the lunch I had packed. Need to go on a grocery run on my way home today from work though and restock more fresh veggies. 🥦🥬🥒
  10. End of week 1 progress. Okay had 2 red alcohol days but that just means the rest of the weeks have to be better right? Concert was amazing (Metallica 2 day event). They are one of my favorite bands and hit a lot of my favorite songs. Five Finger Death Punch was the 2nd opener on day 2 and played 2 of the 3 songs I was hoping they would. Though the one they missed (A little bit off) was one I really hoped they'd play since it got me through some rough times during the pandemic. Oh well, maybe someday. We had today (Monday) off to recover from late concert night.   13. I would second the vinegar option. We’ve had some luck with plumbing fixtures that had calcification build up just soaking in vinegar for 30ish mins. It’s also non toxic so worth the attempt before trying any strong chemical based cleaners. I support this music choice, even when not baking or making jam lol

  15. Coming back after quite a long break myself. Sorry work stuff is so stressful/overwhelming. Mentally sending all the spoons I can spare in hopes that they find their way to you. Also the pepper plants are very rude. How dare they be sneakily spicy. For shame.
  16. I too am not happy with the scale at the moment and constantly monitoring food is exhausting. Dinners out at restaurants are extra tough. Great job pre-planning and sticking to your selection! Wish you the best in finding your balance and what works for you without micromanaging each meal. Having a plan for decent meals even when you eat out sounds like a great start You mentioned that breakfast and lunch are pretty well dialed in, any tips for how you found success there?
  17. Was doing really really good and then work/house stress got to me. I have a 4 day weekend (concert!) so goal is to keep alcohol in the yellow and have no more than 1 red day. To help with that goal I’ve volunteered to be designated driver on concert days. So I’ll swap to water after 2 drinks and maybe have 1 more when we get home. Hope everyone’s having a good week!
  18. Thank you! I used to do really fancy tables and bullet journal pages but honestly work and house stuff has been eating so much of my time that the simple is best right now. And thanks, we’ve been looking for a while. A few little bumps in the process so far but nothing dealbreaking… yet. By the end of this week we hope to have all the mortgage stuff finalized and an answer from the sellers on water test results (property is on well water). I feel like this month is going to both take forever and pass in a blink.
  19. Day 1 off to a great start. The weather finally cooled down a bit the last few days. We didn't get as much cleaning as we would like done this past weekend (donated blood on Saturday and ended up napping the rest of the day). Hope everyone else is having a good first week!

  21. Thank you, this will be our first house! It’s quite a stressful experience, especially with the current market (too many buyers, not enough inventory). But will be worth it to have our own place (and eventually get chickens and bees along with a much expanded garden).

  24. Hey there, Came back to the forums mid last challenge after quite a bit of a break. Similar goals to last challenge, with some minor modifications. 1) Drink Water, not Beer. Track Water Consumption. 🟩= >2.4 Liters 🟨 = 1.8-2.4 Liters 🟥= <1.8 Liters Track Alcohol Consumption. ⭐= 0 alcoholic drinks 🟩= 1-2 alcoholic drinks 🟨 = 3-4 alcoholic drinks 🟥= 5+ alcoholic drinks 2) Walk Track daily steps. 🟩= 10K+ steps 🟨 = 7.5K - 10K steps 🟥= <10K steps Not an official goal, but acknowledgement that we are in the process of buying a house and much effort will be spent decluttering/packing to prepare for closing end of August and actual moving of things through month of September. Work stress is something also to be managed since we are doing budget for next year which is an eternally painful process
