  1. FINAL REPORT WEEK 4 QUESTS CONQUERED I am super proud to report that my fourth week went perfectly! 6 weight training sessions! higher than 2200cal burned per day - Mon to Fri Far over 10 000 steps Mon - Fri 60mins or higher exercise time Mon - Fri 1900cal burned on Saturday with just over 8 000 steps 2300cal burned on Sunday with 12 000 steps Best week and definitely best weekend that I have had in a while. I started this week off just the same and I will just keep going strong. I look forward to the next challenge. I am already planning! Thank you to everyone for the awesome support. It was much needed and helped me at dire moments of this challenge. Have an awesome day! Cheers!
  2. REPORT WEEK 3 ALL COMING TOGETHER This is a late report but my third week went really well! Hit my goals Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday I ended up slacking again and hence missed the weekend goals. But I am super proud to say that I am still on track and going strong! I have lost some centimeters and I can also see and feel a difference in my body. It is amazing!
  3. REPORT - WEEK 2 Just missed it! Week 2 went pretty awesome! I did great! Slacking started kicking in near the weekend, but I had to travel to pick my pup and weekend mode kind of kicked in... But besides that I am pretty chuffed with myself. During the week I put in 4 weight training sessions (Monday - Thursday). Burned my 2200 calories Monday to Thursday. Missed the mark on Friday but hit 2 172 calories. Burned below 1 800 on Saturday, but hit my target of 1 800 on Sunday. I crushed my step goal going beyond 10 000 each day, Moday to Friday. However on Saturday and Sunday I did not even go beyond 5 000 steps on either of the days. Needless to say I got in far over 60min workout time all together (including weights and cardio) during Monday to Friday, and of coarse I did not reach any active time over the weekend. I am proud of myself even though I missed a few marks and I am super amped to show off what I can do this week. I am on morning shift so my results should really be way better seeing as I will be spending more time awake with an earlier rise than last week. Thanks for all the mad support by the way. These challenges really have been helping me reach better potential! Cheers everyone
  4. REPORT - WEEK 1 DEVASTATING ATTEMPTS So upon thinking that I was all well and ready to take on my challenges on Wednesday, I took things a little too far. I pushed myself just that little over the edge. I was able to get my weight sessions in and my walking done for Wednesday and Thursday. Over 20 000 steps throughout the entire day on Wednesday and the same for Thursday, however when Friday arrived, I was sick all over again. I attempted to gym but could just feel 10 mins in that something wasn't right, and I knew that it was because I threw myself into the deep end instead of starting off slow after my body had taken a beating from the flu. Lessons learned for next time though. So instead of pushing myself too hard I spent the remainder of the week, basically being the weekend, taking my meds and recovering fully at the same time as looking after my sick child/doggie (Pixie). This morning would have been a perfect start, but instead I was caring for Pixie before she was taken to the vet. She will be there for the next three days to recover from two viruses that she picked up. I am only hoping for the best. Sorry, I digress. Anyway, so I will be trying to get the remainder of my steps in for today after work as well as my first weight session for this week. Tomorrow I will shift my weight sessions back to the mornings and will not push too far past 10 000 steps until I am certain my body can handle it (a slight cough still remains) and until then I will just try to keep things running smoothly. I will, I will, I will kick ass over the next three weeks for sure!
  5. @jonfirestar Thanks a million! I am up and going again guys! I fought off the cold and I am ready to crush my goals! Felt so good to get that first weight set in this morning! I am super excited to push myself extra hard for remainder of this week!
  6. @Hypotheticalfox thanks! That is awesome that you are doing your first challenge in this guild too! Thanks, hopefully I will recover fully soon. Good luck to you too! Let's crush it!
  7. @Elastigirl I am totally ready for week one. Although I might be out of the game for 2 - 3 days on account of I woke up at 3am dripping sweat from a fever that appeared from nowhere, a completely closed up chest and very painful throat. I was literally okay yesterday, but I believe I may have picked it up hanging out with a friend of mine and her two kids. They were all sick the entire week. Being a Sunday where I live there are no doctors open, or clinics, so I went to the pharmacy and got an over the counter remedy which should hopefully help so that I can get back on track with my life within the next 2 - 3 days. I was very disappointed to wake up like this today, but I am super excited to just get better and get on track again with my fitness. I of-course will not push myself too hard until I have recovered. My head will stay focused while I recover so that once I am back in the game I won't struggle to get going.
  8. @jonfirestar Thanks man! I look forward to my challenge in this guild. @TGP I use a Fitbit to track my steps, workouts and calories burned. I know that they are not 110% accurate but it has been working really well for me, so I guess that it must be pretty close.
  9. Greetings fellow Rangers! This will be my first challenge in the Rangers guild, and I am so super stoked to get started and crush my goals. My previous challenge was in the Warriors guild where I concentrated mainly on strength, but I would like to broaden myself during this challenge and really push myself to the next level. I feel like I am ready to take on this strenuous quest where I will be faced with a daily challenge to reach my ultimate goals and defeat the demons that lurk within my body. I will fight and burn the caloric lunatics who re-spawns themselves before each sunrise only to be defeated by me once again! I will travel the distances to reach my nemesis, the raged fat demon, and destroy the hateful creature one centimeter at a time! My most trusty weapons of destruction? - Dumbbells of Fire - Wizard's 2 Handed Barbell - Stamina Running Boots QUEST: DEFEAT THE FAT DEMON OBJECTIVE: Weight training 4 times a week. OBJECTIVE: Walk 10 000 steps every week day, and at least 8 000 steps on Saturdays and Sundays. QUEST: DEFEAT THE CALORIC LUNATICS OBJECTIVE: Burn 2200 calories a day during the week, and at least 1800 calories over the weekends. OBJECTIVE: Exercise for at least 60 mins all together (weight training and/or walking/jogging) each day during the week. I will journey far and fight hard, but I will defeat these demons and succeed in completing these quests!
  10. WEEK 4 FINAL REPORT I am super proud of myself as I write this report because I aced this week as well. 4 weight sessions, already added to the barbell as previously reported, I meal prepped and planned out my dinners. Over the past two weeks I have lost the following: Chest - 3cm Waist - 2.5cm Umbilicus (Tummy/Belly Button) - 4.5cm Hips - 3cm Bum - 3cm R Thigh - 2cm L Thigh - 1.5cm R Calf - 1cm L Calf 0.5cm I gained 1cm on each arm but that is totally okay with me. I also gained 1kg (which I assume to be muscle considering my overall physical loss of 21cm on my body). Next time I will keep track of my measurements and weight from week 1 to see my overall differences. This is the best that I have done in a long time and I am super excited to get going on my next 4 week challenge. I will be concentrating on my weights again, as well as some cardio and step counting too. Thanks to everyone that helped and supported me. It really always means the world to me. Everyone needs support to reach their goals. Even if it is just a few strangers on the other side of the pc screen. Thank you. Cheers!
  11. @Grumble and @Taddea Zhaan I am so super stoked to hear that I have inspired you in your meal prep. That is so great! @farflight I try keeping safe. I seem to have a tendency to be clumsy, have always been scared of the pressure cooker since I was a kid. Thinks its also the sound it makes when the steam comes out that freaked me out. But I will move past that at some point. Haha. Yes, the bigger cuts of meat in less time will be a big bonus!
  12. Hey guys. @farflight @Grumble @Blocky @JustCallMeAmber So we were looking at actually getting a pressure cooker as soon as we can afford it. After this explosive thread I think we will go electronic. Hahahaha. You know, to avoid the kaboom! First off thank you for all the support! It has motivated me alot! Last week went really well. I did 5 weight training sessions, meal prepped yesterday, have dinner planned until Thursday and as you already know my 2-4kgs for this four week challenge was added to my barbell last week. So all in all it was a great week. Good luck to everyone for this final week coming! Kick ass! Cheers!
  13. Hi there @CourtnieMarie! Glad to see you are into the meal prep idea too. You are more than welcome to call me JB. I actually kinda like that. I have my own program that I follow because I gym at home with my own weights. I unfortunately am unable to attend a gym with all the fancy machines and what not. But, one day. I do a upper body dumbbell program and lower body dumbbell program twice a week each and then I do a barbell full body program 1 - 2 times a week. Its a simple program that I created off of a program that I followed with a friend for a while, with a few changes here and there. But its also just basics I guess. My sessions usually last about an hour with the dumbells, and with barbell if I really take my time then it lasts about 1.5 hours.
  14. WEEK 2 REPORT BACK What an amazing week!!! I feel like last week was just awesome!!! I did my meal prep for my lunches yesterday for this week - I went for a lemon herb chicken and veggie steam team flavour for this week. Our dinners for the next two nights is planned. Chicken Stir Fry and Chicken roast with veggies. I managed to fit in 6 weight training sessions which has made me feel awesome and feel excited to hit that record again this week. And I also added 4 kgs onto my barbell which is amazing! I feel so awesome crushing my goals two weeks in a row like this! I cannot wait to do the same this week! Super excited! Have an awesome week everyone! Cheers!
  15. @Taddea Zhaan and @Grumble I completely feel the struggle, and I am so happy that I made it a goal to push myself to get it done because I usually fail at meal prepping as well. Haha, I am forgetful and Sundays are usually my mental and physical lazy days! So because my meal prep takes place on a Sunday, I take the lazy chef route in meal prep too... My ever so trust-worthy-never-thought-it-would-change-my-life-so-much STEAMER! I am a chicken lover! This is what I am eating this week at least. Basically all I do is put my chicken breasts along with some spices and flavouring into one compartment of my steamer, and another compartment with green veggies (but, like fill it up!), and then I go enjoy some movies, series or play station. When its done and cooled down I quickly divide it into containers and pop it in the fridge. Done and dusted! Oh, and sometimes if I don't have enough veggies I will put on a pot of brown rice while the steamer is going to add to the meal. Also if you don't have a steamer, you can do the exact same thing in an oven. Just don't forget to put on your timers! I find this to be the easiest most relaxing way to get it done.
  16. WEEK 1 REPORT BACK Hi there everyone. First off, thanks for all the support! On the food front all is well. I meal prepped all my lunches for last week and managed to meal prep all my lunches for this week too. Dinner planning is also going amazingly. Dinners are being planned at least 2 days ahead and it has helped take away the awful stress of "what to make in the next few hours when I reach home???". Which is a great feeling because small things tend to stress me out sometimes. On the gym front I almost hit my goal completely in regards to 4 sessions a week. I got in 1 upper body, 1 lower body and 1 full body session. I was quite pleased with that but intend to hit my 4 session goal this week. I used to gym everyday from Monday to Friday and I am positive that I can attain that again with the right mind shift. I am currently lifting 16kgs on the barbell (I am still very much a beginner) but I am super confident that I will be able to add extra weight soon. I am really excited about this week and I feel mentally prepared to take on my challenge and crush, crush, crush it! I hope that everyone else has a productive week as well!
  17. Hey everyone! So this is my second challenge and I hope that I am in the right place. If not, I suppose everything is a journey to enjoy until we are where we need to be. So I am going to be keeping this one rather simple. Still focusing on lifting heavy weights and healthy eating choices because I am on the road to a good looking lean ass body! I have come kind of far, but still have a long way to go and many obstacles to overcome. I have 2 Quests to concentrate on and 4 goals in total which I intend to hit each and every week of this 4 week challenge! QUEST: HEALTHY MUNCHIES GOALS: - Plan dinners at least one day ahead. - Meal prep lunches for the week every Sunday. QUEST: LOSE THE WEIGHT - Weight Train/Lift 4 - 5 times per week. - Add 2 - 4kg onto barbell within the next 4 weeks. I think that these goals and quests are more than attainable and I have full courage in myself that I will be crushing these goals every week! I am super excited and amped! Let's go, let's go!
  18. Final Report Week 4 Hi guys, so this is my final report. It's a bit late bit that's just because I was out of internet range for a while. Reporting briefly from my phone now. I see correctly during my final week, got in all 5 weight lifting sessions and my one cardio session (30min). The pups received alot of fun attention with more than just some fetch and cuddles. I also spent some good time bathing and grooming them. We had a blast! (Although my St. Bernard was not too impressed with the bathing, she enjoyed all the other attention). I am super impressed with myself and what I was able to achieve during this challenge and I am very excited to get going on my next challenge which I will put up by the end of this week as soon as I am in the office again. I really want to say thank you for all the support I have received. It's helped motivate me! This has been awesome! Here's to fitness and building each other up! Cheers!
  19. REPORT WEEK 3 Week 3 went terribly... I was put on antibiotics and some heavy pain medication for my tooth, had to eat at ridiculous intervals to take the pills, and if I was not sleeping and passed out I was eating and taking pills before and after work which I still had to push through despite my meds. I managed to get in an upper body session on the Monday before started the meds, and then a full body session on Sunday (yesterday) once the meds was finished. I however ate very badly and ended up picking up all the centimeters that I lost Time with the pups was also out of the question because I was so drained every day after work. But my terrible week has only motivated me to kick ass again this week! I have already completed my first weight session of the week, and I will be spending more than just one hour with the pups this week because I am on leave from work and will be spending the week at home. I will also be getting more than one cardio session this week which I am super stoked about because I am hoping it will help give me an extra push after last week's downfall. Anyway, here is to another brilliant week that I am most definitely ready to crush!!! Thanks for the support!!! Have a good week everyone! Cheers!
  20. @TGP Thank you. Yes I use the measurements because I am overweight and am in the process of losing the weight. However I figured that full body measurements would be the best way to see my differences because I am weight training and building muscle as well. That way even when the scale goes up or stays the same I will know whether its muscle or fat. I have no problem if I don't have those extra losses because the weight training alone changes my life and how I feel and see myself, but it was a very nice nudge of excitement because I honestly was not expecting it. Hehehe Thank you for the support! I love WEIGHTLIFTING! Have an awesome day everyone!
  21. WEEK 2 Report Back I am super proud to be writing this report at the end of week 2 and I am excited to push myself in order to write a similar report by the end of this week. I ate healthy 5 out of 7 days. I danced for 40minutes once as my cardio. I weight completed 6 weight lifting sessions. I spent above 2 hours with the four legged children of the household. I feel so accomplished! And to add to my accomplishments I made some mean muscle gain because although I am 1kg heavier than last week Sunday, I am 2cm smaller around my chest, 2cm smaller around my waist, 2cm smaller around my tummy and 2cm smaller around my Hips. My arms are about half a cm smaller, thighs remained the same and booty lifted adding half a cm in size. I cannot explain the joy and happiness. I have been in this whole fitness and weight loss thing since about April 2017 and I have to say that I feel like this has been my most successful week yet. Thank you everyone for the motivation and support. Cheers!
  22. @RES Yes, but unfortunately my work times effect what I can do in the sense that I can jog while in town but not when I am at home later (I live further away in a less town like environment). @TGP What I have done is changed my third goal to cardio once a week so that I can either jog if my work times allow it on a Friday or dance over the weekend at home. Seems more suitable to my time changes for now. @ValkyrieRising Yes, eating well went good for me for 12 weeks and then I hit a low point where everything went to hell for about 2 months... But I feel like I am back on track again. I definitely agree on it being the most difficult part though. Thank you to all of you for the support and inspiration. It really does help to keep me going! Cheers!
  23. WEEK 1 REPORT First week was rough... My work times changes completely, I got a bit sick from eating something that wasn't as fresh as it seemed and it felt like a week from hell... I did manage to get in a little time with the pups (not as much as I would have liked). I got 3 weight sessions in between all the change, but no jogging or dancing... And I pretty much ate right most of the week. I feel like I will be a lot more successful this week after settling into the new changes with work times etc. and I am very positive which is great! PS. I was not expecting the work and time changes otherwise my challenge would have been completely different. But let's see how well I can do from here. Cheers to all the support by the way! Have an awesome week everyone!
