  1. So today's over Monday September 11th 2017 Things that went in me: 2L of water Breakfast: Coffee + milk. Lunch: Dragon bowl + tempeh... Was not home yesterday and drove right into work. That's my excuse Supper: Somehow skipped this one. Wasn't hungry. Snacks: 1/4 cup nuts, 7 dried apricots. Things I did: 45 min of mowing and trimming. It does involve walking about so I'm calling that my daily walk Random thoughts: Legs are less sore after the gardening. Huh. Gif of the day:
  2. Thanks for the advice! I usually hover around 1.75L - 2L a day so it's not a massive spike But when I get caught up in a problem at work I can go for 4-5 hours without even looking up, let alone drinking my waters... So it's more about staying regular, with a small increase, than going all out. If that makes any sense
  3. Hey Just popping in to say I understand your struggle with depression. It's awesome that you are doing something, no matter how small it seems! Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and you'll make it! PS: I really like your idea about writing down positive things! I might borrow it for when I'm back in the depths
  4. Hi! I've been on NF for a bit over 3 weeks, and I want to try out a challenge! My main quest is to lose 40kg by next July! If I can keep losing 1% of my weight each week, it seems totally possible. Here are my goals for the challenge I've never worked out before, so I'll start with one body weight workout a week. I've started to enjoy hiking so I'll go on a hike of at least 1h each week. I don't drink enough water so I'll get 2.5L of water each day (and no soft drinks or juices) My garden needs some love too so I'll set aside at least an hour each weekend to weed or mow the lawn and weed, depending on what's required. Not sure if these are great goals, but they can be my goals
  5. Was away for the weekend, but I kept notes! I also just realized I started with the wrong date... X_X Saturday September 9th (The real 9th) 2017 Things that went in me: 1.5L of water 2L of beer. Breakfast: Nope. Lunch: Mixed greens salad with some cherry tomatoes and yogurt sauce, spinach onion & cheddar omelet (2 eggs) Supper: I succumbed to a craving for pasta... Had a plate of fettuccine with rose sauce, Italian sausage and mushrooms. Snacks: 3 pieces of dried apricots, 1/4 cup of mixed nuts. Things I did: 1h walk Sunday September 10th 2017 Things that went in me: 1.5L of water 1.25L of beer. Breakfast: Nope. Lunch: Cold cuts sandwich. Supper: Thai style salad (lettuce, cucumbers, red peppers), peanut butter chicken on rice noodles. Snacks: Nope. Things I did: 4h hike! 7.5 km 250m elevation. Random thoughts: My legs are on strike. They are demanding better pay and improved working conditions... Feeling proud of myself though!!

Breakfast: Coffee + Milk Lunch: Dragon bowl with tempeh. (Dragon bowl is cabbage, spinach, carrots on a bed of rice with a peanut/soy sauce) Supper: 1/2 bowl of nachos at the put... Yeah, I know. I may have been a bit tipsy, not the best decision ever... Snacks: 3 pieces of dried apricots, 1/2 cup of mixed nuts. Things I did: 15 min walk Friday Sept 9th 2017 Things that went in me: 1.5L of water 1.5L of beer. Breakfast: Coffee + Milk Lunch: Greek salad with yogurt sauce, 1/2 ham ciabatta sandwich. Supper: Mixed greens salad. Kale, onion, grape and quinoa salad, small chicken breast. Snacks: Handful of chips. Things I did: 10 mins walk Random thoughts: I'm a bit short on time, so running away now!

  8. Wednesday Sept 7th 2017 Got home late last night and long ass windows update I've been putting off means I didn't write yesterday :S It wanted me to uninstall steam?!?!? Turns out it was leftover glyph DRM crap from that one time I tried Atlas Reactor that was confusing the shit out of the windows updater... Things that went in me: 1.75L of water 125 ml of single malt scotch (yum!) Breakfast: Coffee + Milk Lunch: Mixed cabbages salad with some yogurt sauce & a chicken leg. More coffee. Supper: Date night! We went to this nice little french bistro I enjoy Had butternut squash soup, rabbit stuffed with prunes, couple string beans & mashed sweet potatoes. Yet more coffee. Snacks: 3 pieces of dried apricots, 1/2 cup of mixed nuts. Things I did: Bit of a fail here... Date had me a bit anxious, I haven't actually liked someone enough to go on a second date in over 5 years... (Issues, I have them.) I was a ball of nerves and didn't get anything done Random thoughts: No daily gif... I'm at work and don't want to have to stay late because I got lost in an internet rabbit hole
  9. Tuesday Sept 6th 2017 Going to start dating these, I'm already getting confused XD Things that went in me: 3L of water! Breakfast: Coffee + Milk Lunch: Broccoli stalk salad (weird, but tasty!) with some yogurt sauce & a chicken leg. Supper: Mixed greens salad with cherry tomatoes, onions, cheddar & honey-mustard sauce. Jerk steak. Snacks: 6 pieces of dried apricots, 1/2 cup of mixed nuts. Things I did: Finished work quite late so only walked the bare 15 minutes. Got back into Unreal engine 4 programming tutorial (as per epic quest) Sink is empty and no dishes lying around! Yay! Random thoughts: The new XCOM2 expansion really fun! It's eating into my sleep though... Also it's slowly dawning on me that everyone I got along with at work quit or got fired and I've been spending 8h+ a day with people that annoy me for the past 6 months... It's looking like job hunting season is on it's way...
  10. Academy is being quite helpful Since I'm coming from a place of utter ignorance, lol, it's nice to have things laid out sequentially so I don't get overwhelmed. Thanks! I'm starting to enjoy walking more and looking for cool places to wander in around town!
  11. Monday! 1st L5R session yay! Got characters done and that's about it, but looking forward to the rest. Things that went in me: 1.5L of water, better, but not quite there yet. 1L of beer Breakfast: Nope Lunch: Arugula salad with olives, grape tomatoes and onions. 2 egg mushroom, onion & cheddar omelet. Supper: Mixed greens salad with cherry tomatoes. Pepper steak. Snacks: 2 Handfuls dried apricots, 1/2 cup of mixed nuts. Things I did: 30 min walk in a rather nice park. Rearranged plates, glasses and cutlery to make it harder for me to just grab a new one instead of washing whatever is in the sink XD Random thoughts: Huh... can't think of anything, sorry XD Gif of the day:

Going to dive right in today Things that went in me: 1L of water, boo 1 cup of green tea at some point in the afternoon Breakfast: Weekends are for sleeping in Lunch: Mesclun salad with feta, olives, onion and grapes. 2 egg spinach, onion & cheddar omelet. Supper: Arugula salad with cherry tomatoes. Chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms & onions. Snacks: 1 veggie sandwitch bag in the afternoon, 1 in the evening after my walk. Handful of dried apricots. Things I did: Walked 20-25 mins, forgot starting time by the time I got back... But farther than usual anyways. Cleaned one shelf of my fridge, 2 more to go. Got rid of all the junk food and whatnot that was cluttering my fridge and freezer! Instead of beginner bodyweight workout, subscribed to the academy and started doing that. Didn't workout yet but the testing my level kinda wiped me out, so counts? Maybe? Random thoughts: Damn my fridge is not a fun place, took quite a bit of elbow grease to get that one shelf shiny. But I'm gonna make it! I didn't know I could do a plank, but hey Started shaking uncontrollably at about 15 sec but held on to 30 Same for side planks!
  13. So today was a bit of a mess Had a friend over from Ottawa and my sister's birthday, so basically everything I ate was at a restaurant... Things I put in me: 2L of water (probably more, but stopped counting after 2L) 3 glasses of wine I know what I said this morning, lol, but birthday... 3 cups of tea at random times during the day. Breakfast: as if I was awake for that XD Lunch: Sushi, about 20 pieces, soup, one or two peanut butter dumplings Supper: Seaweed salad, steak, veggies, some rice. Piece of vegan chocolate cake (no clue what was in there, but it was tasty) Snacks: None Things I did: Walked my 15 minutes! Random thoughts: I wanted to try the beginner's body weight workout this week, but unless I can find some time tomorrow morning I have no idea when I'll be able to ... Good night!!
  14. Up until 4am gaming and drinking with my friend, so this is late again... I think I'm going to lay off the booze for a little bit now, lol Stuff I put in me: 2L of water 1.75L of beer 250ml of scotch Breakfast: Coffee + milk Lunch: Kale, feta, quinoa & grape salad, The other half of that ham & cheese ciabatta sandwitch. Supper: Mesclun salad with feta, olives, chicken bits and grapes, 2 small pork chops. Snacks: Veggie snack bag - Celeri, carrots & radishes. Some jalapeno poppers. 3AM slice of pizza (kind of a drunk tradition, lol) Stuff I did: Did my 15 min walk! Random thoughts: 3AM Pizza is not my friend. Feels like it's taken my pancreas hostage and barricaded itself in my lower intestine. Going back to sleep now...
  15. Ohai! Yeah, snack bags saved me several times already from ordering wings randomly. Figured out that what I really like is the hot sauce so I just put some on the veggies if I have a craving XD
