Just came across this board. I'm a huge nerd, literally and figuratively. Just recently got tired of my cloths shrinking and decided to lose weight and start power lifting. How am I doing? I'm feeling seriously overtrained, thinking of deloading squats and deads to recover a few weeks. Thoughts? Should I keep grinding and risk it or deload and extend this program out?
Started at 38YO 6'4" and 330 lbs in April. Had an umbilical hernia repair surgery (unrelated birth defect), recovered for a few weeks and got back into both my diet and exercise. I'm 39 now and current weight is 291.
