  1. It's a thinking problem, for sure. People are so busy being busy and climbing the ladder that they need stop to see what building the ladder is leaning against.

One of the funnies things I've heard recently is a fictional dialogue that a man used to summarize is life up until he got his thinking straight:

Wife: "honey where are we going?"

Husband: "I have no idea baby, but we are making GREAT time!"

  2. In my experience it all depends on the mentorship you receive from people who are successful at it. I know several multi-millionaires who got their fortune from networking with an MLM and they never put in more than a part-time effort. And a lot of the "effort" they do put in involves mentoring people their building friendships with on how to get their lives and relationships sorted out.

As long as you do your research and network with a legitimate, legal company, it is entirely possible to use an MLM to replace or vastly outstrip your current income, and help others do the same if you're a man of integrity, committed to a personal growth plan, and raise other leaders up behind you.

And depending on how your MLM company structures it's bonus system, you won't even have to go door to door begging for sales and become one of "those" people that make the rest of us look bad.

    Best of luck dude :)

  3. Did you do any research before you signed up? Was there an education or qualification process at all?

For myself, if the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, or any other regulatory body gives them the green light then I'd just let the matter lie.

You can't win an argument, and a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

  4. I found when I was doing pull ups, I would do 3 sets to failure (even though it was only a total of 5 pull ups at the time) and then after I could no longer get my arms to drag my rear end upwards against gravity I would jump up to the bar, use the momentum to help pull myself into the very top of the movement and get a solid 5-10 second negative in and I saw gains fairly quickly.

  5. So yesterday  I went out to the soccer field again to mess around and modify my workout to be enjoyed in the great outdoors (drop rows, do pull ups from the crossbar of the net, and use the upright posts to help with pistol squats.). I was doing this because I had forgotten my keys at home and had time to kill before my Love got home from work, so I was wearing cargo shorts, flip flops, and a tee shirt (which I had taken off) because I'm a super-classy dude. Instead I ended up stepping on a bee or something and couldn't walk. lol. My foot is fine today, but yesterday it was puffy, painful, and getting numb and tingly. and towards evening I was having issues balancing and feeling a teensy bit woozy.

In my make friends goal, I have been in contact with 3 old friends/acquaintances and have soft plans to get together with all of them in the next couple weeks :)

I hope they're receptive and I can help change their lives :)

  6. If it's not fun anymore and it's no longer one of your priorities, and it's taking away from things you'd rather do, then you're likely doing more harm than good to continue practicing them.

Maybe the reason you're stalling out on handstands is because of a weakness or imbalance somewhere?

  7. Today was a winner. Woke up semi-early (about 6am) and went for a walk with my girlfriend ad made her eggs and moose sausage before she had to go to work. Then took a 3 hour nap, then went grocery shopping then went for a cardio workout.

There's a soccer pitch less than a kilometer from where we live so I jogged out to it and ran 3 sets of sprints across and back. For the first two sets I sprinted the length of the field, then walked around until I felt like I could go again, and ran back. And for the third set I sprinted to the half and jogged the rest of the way and did the same thing on the way back. I know it wasn't the best I've ever done, and including the travel between home and the pitch and back, it took less than 20 minutes, but I gave it my all and left exhausted. My legs weren't jelly, but not by much. And it was nice to be shirtless in the sun and 30+ degree heat.

I have a paleo stir-fry marinating for us for supper and right away we're going to go for another walk :)

I love doing things with my Love :):joyous:  :love_heart:  :love-struck:

  8. It's all good dude, that stuff is frustrating as all get-out. My personal pet-peeve is people who complain about their finances but say that they're not interested in changing anything to improve their standing. Or "really really want to." but don't have ANY spare time or money because they need to drink a case of beer, smoke a pack of cigarettes, and watch reruns of Alf for the 40th time or their day is ruined. I find it gets easier to tell these people to "Can it because you wouldn't change even if i gave you the chance. Oh wait, I did. You weren't interested."

  9. So far today is off to a good start :)

Last night Valorie expressed her desire to wake up early and go for a walk this morning, so we got up at 6 (she wasn't quite as stoked as I was ;)) and went for a walk around the block. Then she had a shower before work and I made her some fried eggs and moose sausage (courtesy of Remoth) for breakfast :)

Is it weird that I like days off because I get to play housewife and look after my baby-girl? lol :D

  10. Sniffle, sniffle. So terrific!! I am so glad you have found her. I love, love, love, how you already have such a fantastic vision.

Awesome challenge too. Glad you are back. You are missed.

Was it you (I'm somehow thinking it was ) that loved the Wheel of TIme series? Anyway, I finally started reading it, and love it! Being a nerd book, there were probably several people that recommended it.

Yes I do love the Wheel Of Time series :) How far in are you?

I'm glad to be back. I was too long away, but needed the time to regroup and solidify my vision.

I'm glad I've found her too :) it's just been such a blessing to have such an amazing young woman in my life, and I can't even describe how glad I am that we share a common vision for our future. I'm even happier that we've been given the means to achieve it :)

Also, Is it weird that I feel like I would like for her and I to show up to Walmart one day dressed in full on movie quality Halo Spartan armor, buy a hundred nerf guns for random kids that are there and lead them against each other in a capture the flag nerf war? In Walmart? Probably the produce section? lol.

We also want to deck out in Iron-Man armor (again, the expensive movie-quality kind) throw on a santa hat and drag a bag of toys up and down the halls of the Stollery Children's Hospital and the local Ronald McDonald House for all the sick kids and their families at the holidays :)
