  1. Just before my son was born I got all soul-searchy.. I decided that I've been eating meat and stuff because it was "normal" and I love animals and pretty much all of Earth's weird little monsters so I decided to stop eating them. Recently I've decided to only use cruelty-free products, but still eat eggs and dairy, which I feel guilty about.. Soon, I'll try to phase that out too.
  2. Yesterday (June 19th, 2013) I was sick. I didn't eat anything (I suppose dried apples, a handful of pumpkin seeds and a banana IS something, but nothing substantial) and I sure as hell didn't DO anything (unless you count laying out on the floor watching Adventure Time and seizing as a physical activity). As such, I didn't log anything for yesterday. Here's today's food/activity log..
  3. Paleo is rough, but totes worth it. I first got into it when I was losing weight for my wedding. Amazing what eating REAL FOOD does for you, eh? Real results, man. I'm super proud of your awesome achievement! I can't wait to see come upon your next milestone, whatever goals they may be!
  4. Congrats dood! I just had my first on June 3rd! We should set up a play date! :-D
  5. I hate asthma, but I ran two miles on Thursday. May not seem like much, but after being hospitalized for asthma in the past, this is a major breakthrough for me.
  6. Wow dude. That's pretty boss! Also, it's huge! Do you have any others, or is this your first?
  7. Congratulations! I'm inspired to spit in the face of asthma and go run along side you!
  8. Thank you everyone! Luckily the little guy is a mellow fellow and prefers sleeping quietly to bawling constantly. In fact, the only time he cries is when he's cold. :-)
  9. On Monday June 3rd, 2013 my wife woke me up at 1:15am (after only an hour of sleep) to inform me that her water had broken and that she was in labor. We loaded the car and headed to the hospital. The labor was not an uneventful process and there were some concerns along the way. My son was "sunny side up" and was also not showing signs of having a heart rate with any variability, amongst other things. After 14 hours of labor, at 3:11pm, my son, Ronin Arkham Wallace was born, healthy and cool as the Fonz! A new world order is upon us!
  10. These: http://www.amazon.com/Mens-Tuxedo-Boxer-Briefs-37/dp/B00AKZEOXY/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hpc_1 In all seriousness though, I like to wear moisture wicking boxer briefs, the longer kind that almost go to your knees.
  11. On the topic of depression, I completely understand being depressed. I've had problems with depression my entire life, struggling with worry, and anxiety and feelings of inadequacy, that would just come out of nowhere. It's shameful, I feel to admit it, but I had been a cutter for a good chunk of my early adulthood and didn't realize exactly how precious everything was until I almost went through with "the deed". Luckily I had people to save me, and when it was all over people had new insight, and so did I. I still experience random occurrences of heavy depression, despite all the good things in my life. I don't particularly believe in psychiatric medicine but I fear that I'll always have to fight it, at least a little bit, without the help of medication. In the recent months (say four months give or take) I've started dabbling in Buddhism.. Not for spiritual awakening or because I need religious guidance, but for a way to focus and clear my mind; to regain perspective. It may be a worthwhile endeavor to look into.
  12. Have you tried exposing yourself to different types of stones? I used a Moon Stone once and turned into a Clefable!
