  1. Nice! Learning new stuff is *awesome*. This week has gone by mad fast for me. I've been doing a lot of running around with Life Things after losing my wallet and phone, but it's definitely made the days go by.
  2. That sounds like the best kind of work-out buddy!
  3. That sounds like the best kind of practice possible, to me. That kind of not-planned happening in a sort-of controlled environment? Like, you got all of your on-paper skills done, but also went through a bonus emergency round. (Which you clearly passed with flying colours.)
  4. That's always nice. Power. It's the little things, y'know? We've been having some crazy storms where I am too. (I could make some sort of horrifying pun about "Powering through the week!" but, it's really better for everyone if I just refrain. )
  5. I hope the rest of your week was/is just as great!
  6. I disappeared for a bit, and will be a bit less consistent with updates, as I managed to lose my pack whilst it was filled with things, like, wallet, phone, clothes, (thankfully not keys. Everything else I can replace, so long as I can still get into my flat.) I've finished training at my job, but I've been walking less, as I am now employed as a waitress, so I do a lot of walking there. I have a feeling that my place of work is going to be really good for my eating habits, because there's a really strong culture there of eating well. Most folks get dinner of like, chicken, avocado and carrot sticks. With the exception of the sugar treats that people bring in. The other day it was homemade shortbread. I usually manage to keep my consumption reasonable, but we'll see how that goes. I think it will also be easy to keep up with my push-ups because work people are always talking about going to the gym (there's a pair of sisters on staff who did competitive Cheerleading, and apparently they're the fitness gurus of the place. It's really great. People keep walking up to them and being like "I think I pulled something, what can I do? and they always have the answer. It's fantastic.), so I think that will definitely help me stay motivated. Having a job has definitely helped to level out my life, in a very good way. It's a lot easier for me to get out of the house now that I feel like I have some forward momentum. Also, it's a lot easier to create an actionable savings plan when one has a concrete source of income. So there's that too. Yay! Employment!
  7. Today I: left the house, purchased no sugar, did push-ups. (It totally doesn't count as a new day if I haven't gone to bed yet.)
  8. Well, there were a few additional issues that happened today, but then I made a new friend who happens to be a mechanic, so it ended up being a really fantastic development, as I ended up getting a total introduction to *my* bike, as opposed to generic "most bikes". The whole thing just makes me really excited about life.
  9. There are two pieces of music that I would like to share with you as they are inspired by viking history and thusly seem relevant to your interests. The first is one that was only recently pointed out to me, and is absurd rock music at its finest. The other has long been a favourite of mine and is Saturday Morning Educational Programming at its finest. Both of which I find to be fantastic and hilarious. (I keep getting these songs stuck in my head when I read your posts, so it only felt right share.)
  10. That sounds like a really great sub-plot for a sitcom.
  11. That was me too. I managed to find some of my old threads, but I also just kind of faked it a bit. With something like this, I feel like the *spirit* of it is so much more important than being technically correct.
  12. It's amazing how fast financial things can eat up energy, and incredibly refreshing to get things on track. Congratulations on getting things sorted.
