For thursday -sunday 11/11 I don't take the time to post every fay but i will try to do it three times a week. - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 30 mn/1h walking = 3 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> 2 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> = 3 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> yes = 4 points - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week --> 1 = 1 point : so 2 meditations a week only total = 13 points
  2. Big effort now to take a bit of time to come back and post. I suffer from a bad cold and feel miserable lol Good question....The most important goal for me would be getting stronger, I guess. I am questioning my health goal. I wonder if I should not have begun with portion control before paleo. I think I just eat too much and try to feel "full" too often when I don't need it in reality... I am at 60% of the book Thinking fast and slow for now. It's very interesting but I try not to read too quickly, there is a lot of depth and it gives me a lot to think about in my work life. I try to speak about it whit my husband regularly to explore these ideas about their nature and the role of intuition vs careful thinking, the pro and cons and above all the biases upon which each one lies. The author speaks about questions as In which conditions intuition, experience or education "beat" purely statistical odds? What is the true value brought by an experienced manager in an organization (answer : not much, chance is by far the most influent factor) ? It's a very introspective reading for me. For monday, tuesday, wednesday 08/11 - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 30 mn and 1h walking = 2 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> I am quite bad all in all, everyday I eat one thing with wheat (two biscuits, a caneloni...)= 0 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> except if sleep is counted, I did not take time to go far = 1 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> yes = 2 points - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week --> 1 = 1 point total = 6 points, I am not proud...

For friday, saturday and sunday01/11 - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 30 mn and 1h30 walking, nothing on sunday I was nursing a cold = 2 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> friday was OK but not saturday and sunday = 1 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> done = 3 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> yes durind two days= 2 points and a bonus point because I went to the theater for the first time in several years with the kids, it was a great success ! = 3 points - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week --> two = 2 points so I did 3 times in the first week total = 11 points.

For thursday 01/11 - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 1h in the gym (cardio, legs and shoulders) = 1 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> one egg + tea and raw milk+ citrus juice, a lot of vegetables +potatoes + bacon+ 1 tangerine+tea, sausage + spätzle (=gluten)+ cauliflower+apple - no snacks spätzle is not ok = 0 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> done = 1 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> yes ! = 1 points - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week --> none = 0 points Tuesday total = 3 points.

For tuesday 30/10 - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 30 mn walk done = 1 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> one egg + tea and raw milk+ citrus juice, spinach and goat cheese pie+ 2 tangerines+coffee+a bit of 80% chocolate, tea, a big dinner at the restaurant with friends oeuf mollet au foie gras (OK) + duck and lentils (OK) + crème brûlée au beurre salé (not OK lol) + organic red wine (OK) - no snacks a bit of pie crust and a dessert with a lot of sugar : I guess i am 70/30 only so = 0 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> done = 1 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> nothing, i went directly from work to restaurant, no time to read a challenging thing = 0 points - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week --> none but I installed the app Wake up and downloaded sessions for tomorrow = 0 points Tuesday total = 2 points. not terrible :-/

For monday 29/10 : - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. --> 30 mn walk done under the rain = 1 point - to be healthier : eating primal again, I aim 80/20 --> one egg + tea and raw milk+ citrus juice, spinach and goat cheese pie, 2 tangerines, coffee + sausage and peas, apple - no snacks a bit of pie crust is the only non paleo thing, 80/20 is respected = 1 point - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) --> done = 1 point - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) --> done.   8. Hello all, I am making a respawn after 6 months off the forum and a slow but sad decline in my progress. So, I prefer to come back here, where I began in september 17. I am a 38 yo French woman, mother of two very active boys, in a very stressful work situation just now. I definitely need to put myself together again to gain back the serenity and strength needed. Loss of weight (13 lbs-6kg would be great) will take care of itself on its own. I was really moved by Steve's mail about the end of the year, 2.5 months is ample time to find a new path. The beginning is now, if not at the beginning of a challenge. My big aim is to be stronger, healthier, neater, more interesting and more persistent. Quite an ambition ! My challenges for now are : - to be stronger : upping my physical activity everyday meaning 30 mn walk or a sport sessions. - to be healthier : eating primal again, I have not absolutely fallen off the wagon but I am 60/40 paleo, I aim 80/20 - to be neater : every day, 5 minutes to take care of me or my appearance (clothes, shoes...) - to be more interesting : read everyday a challenging book (re-reading old favorites, reading newpapers or blogs don't count !) - to be persistent : 3 meditation /week (again, the period I did it was so great !)   9. Hello fellow rebels! After a brief - but effective first try in september, I just fell out of the wagon for a variety of reasons at the biginning of january (I am adverse to new year resolution lol), all bad ones in restrospect. I did not fall back completely but I seriously need to get back on track to fulfill my big goal : being dynamic, strong and healthy. I am beginning with little steps but will be more consistent because I AM SOMEONE WHO WILL FOLLOW MY PATH TO THE END
  10. Quick summary from last sunday : Paleo : 12/15 but what gigantic, delicious, cheesy, crusty, carrotcaky failings lol Sport 2 only Sleep 2/5 bad, bad, bad i am hypercharged at night and can't find the off button

  13. Thank you both for reminding me this truth... I should weight me less. The end of the week was rocked by a stomach bug, ideal to lose weight and gaining it back shortly, which proves your point, lol So, at the end of my second week Paleo 17/21 I am quite satisfied Sport 6 /6 yeah ! Sleep : 4/7 not a great week but still pretty good NEW (fasting for 19h) : 1 I am feeling I am on the right track for exercise, I make progress in terms of weight and ease of movement.
  14. I am quite unhappy because my weight doesn't budge albeit I don't do a lot of bad choices for meals... I guess the beginning of the cold makes me eat more. i wonder if lifting weight with machines at gym makes me hungrier. Hubby finds me leaner though. Well, stop the bad excuses, I must make mistakes and eat too much simply. I find going to the gym a real heaven, hubby is on the brink of a work burnout and he pulls myself in it with him without realizing it. Escaping to the gym is a blessing like this morning, at least I don't hear about work for the first hour of the day lol. Wednesday paleo 2/3 I made my first meat loaf and it was a success ! sport : 0, I just walked 3 km to go to work and added it to the batman challenge sleep : bad 00000 6h too much worries

  16. The level of stress at work is through the roof and i can't see a silver lining... it's difficult to find time to post my account and I can't read through fellow assassins' logs for now, i am sorry. monday paleo 2/3 sport : 0 (normal sleep : 14/1 8h15 of sleep :-)

  18. nothing since friday but it's because I did a lot and won against cold! good nutrition, back to the gym on friday and sunday + swimmingpool on saturday and two nights of 10 and 11h... if I tally my scores from sunday to saturday Aim 1 : 17/21yes ! i am just at 80/20 Aim 4 : only two strenght training because of the cold but I could go to the swimmingpool so 5 points/6 Aim 2 and 3 : 8 hours of sleep a day happened 5 nights/7, not so bad Bonus Aim : cold shower 1/1 grand total for the first week 29/35 Next week, I should do better on food now that i am not ill anymore. Am I the only one craving sweets & pastries when ill?
  19. You are so right about planning for fun, when one has lost the ability to go in fun mode on a whim and everyday, it's the necessary step (a bit like eating healthy). Have a great fresh start !
  20. Thursday, Thank you for your message ! Hectic day at work but good for paleo meals ! I feel like I don't crave bread anymore and sweets only when sick, youpi! 3/3 No sport except a long 1-hour walk and 8 hours of sleep 1/1 made me good enough to go back to the gym this morning at 6:30, it was hard after stopping for 4 days but i felt so good after! First snow fell yesterday on Paris and I realized that I may have to go to the gym walking in the snow at some point in the winter. i have to think how i organize my launchpad... Total 4/5, better :-)
  21. Wednesday : As surmised 90% of the food at work was not paleo so 2/3 7h30 sleep but I feel so much better. i must take time to fight this cold or I will keep it far months, i wonder if I will go to the swimmingpool saturday, not sure it's a great idea...
