  1. The player behind the Curse is perfectly fine, the character The_Curse is now dead. Due to failing to do hardly anything for the past two weeks I'm counting my Challenge character dead and going to be making a new character. This time instead of making him based on what I am, I will be making him based on who I want to be by the time I reach my goals, which may help me to be more optimistic to fit the role. Instead of being a pudgy dwarf called the Curse, I am going to be a short (D&D style) gnome named Lukup, but due to D&D gnomes collecting names, and being called by several different names by even their own families, you may give me any nickname you wish. I will be redoing my stats from scratch and pick-up with the 6 week challenge next week (Monday). I will most likely even delete this account and create a new. Wish me luck, I'm still here, just under a different name.
  2. I tried the rope course got up there and froze =\ I wanted to do the rockwall but forgot it was there. Wonderworks was pretty cool and as long as you spend some time analyzing the stuff well worth the money. As far as non touristy things to do....may the force be with you. I was stuck there for just a day longer than originally planned. Our car broke down on the first day we went down there.
  3. Did a quick search and didn't find anything so I figured I'd start a thread for posting Steam names. This way when we're playing video games we can socialize with each other and occasionally remind each other that there is life outside of that box in front of us and that we should probably go run/swim/stretch/fight the undead hordes of hell/whatever. Mine's "The Curse" (without quotes). Shocker, huh?
  4. Cool thanks. And as far as finding people doing stuff for free, that's a long shot. I'm out in the middle of nowhere.
  5. I have always wanted a sword and on my trip to a semi-local knife shop I looked at the swords they had. My problem with the swords was that none of them were what I would call "Combat Ready" and I'm a sucker for efficiency. Then I saw the tai-chi sword, and knowing that tai-chi wasn't as much of a combat form as it was a mobile meditation, flexibility, and control training I realized it was the only sword in the place that was efficient in the use for which it was designed. So I bought it. Now I'm in the middle of moving and trying to get my life set up to move to the next stage so I don't have time for classes, but I would like to learn to begin practicing with my sword. Does anyone have a good website for tai-chi basics and tai-chi sword basics that I may learn from? (Must be free.) Thank you.
  6. As I was exploring my hometown I realized something. Although I consider myself a dwarf as far as the race thing goes because I'm short, like to explore and travel, live in the mountains, and enjoy technology more than a hobbit, as I got on the backroads I realized I was surrounded by hobbit neighbors. They live on hills in the mountain tops, refute technology as much as possible while still functioning in society, keep to themselves, and love to garden. Although I'm a Dwarf, I gotta love my Hobbit neighbors. Shout out to all the Hobbits.
  7. I've been fighting the same thing. I'm not doing too well, but what has helped tremendously was substitutions. For now don't worry about drinking healthily, just worry about quitting soda pop.* Every time you want a bottle/can/cup of soda get a bottle/can/cup of kool-aid, crystal lite, water, tea, or something similar. If it's the caffeine you are addicted to a placebo may help. When you want a soda instead of a caffeinated beverage grab a root beer or a sprite. (Just to remind you in case you have an absent minded moment like we all have, tea has caffeine too.) Once you have broken the Caffeine addiction you can work on the soda addiction. * NOTE: Do not use alcohol, that would just be replacing one addiction with a worse one.
  8. What's the reward for this? (like last week was +1 STR) I didn't see it.
  9. 3.6 miles walked today and explored a new part of my hometown. I'm worn, but feel moderately good.
  10. Nevermind about going home, car broke down.
  11. Yay for being stuck in Pigeon Forge because the car broke down on vacation. T_T
  12. uhm....I'm on vacation....can't explore my hometown....
  13. I was talking long term, yes. I know I'm not going to just climb a wall tomorrow and go all spiderman. XD
  14. I'd love to just be able to sit on rooftops and people watch or do homework and just be able to make a direct line between point A and point B in the fastest way.
