  1. The lifting is, so far, easier than I expected it would be. I'm really enjoying it, and the powerful soothing effects it has on The Flame of Anxiety are so obvious that all the Sidekicks are noticing. When I come home after lifting I can only assume I radiate some kind of happy and calm energy, because they all gravitate towards me the way they do when I meditate or do yoga. It's very sweet, actually, and provides added incentive to continue lifting. Bonding with pets makes The Flame calmer.
  2. Yes, it was, and to my knowledge still is. The instrumentals that followed it has varied though.
  3. I forgot to post goals updates yesterday, so this is for both Friday and Saturday: 1. Lifted Friday night. My new knee sleeves arrived Thursday and are so much better than the ones I've been wearing off and on for two years. Night-and-day difference in compression, and now I'm excited to wear them for squatting and OHP. 2. The meditation streak remains strong. I will do today's meditation as soon as I have finished this post. 3. Nothing new in my alchemy studies.I am waiting for Batch 2 to be ready for bottling, while making notes of what to change for that phase. Batch 1 is okay, but not optimal in flavor or fizziness.
  4. Me too! A large part of it is that smalltalk is very formulaic and predictable, which makes every single person sound boring, and predictable. Life is too short to waste my time on people who are not interesting, or who have nothing to contribute that I can't do on my own.
  5. When you are not busy fighting off cold virus attacks, we shall revisit the conversation about listening to Google as if it is an authority on how to do things right, and on what matters. Brace yourself! Mostly kidding. But I agree with previous poster: If it looks better when you're done than when you started, you did not do cleaning wrong. There are many ways of doing cleaning more effectively, or make it take less time, but ultimately, if you get results, who cares? You are perceptive and have excellent judgement. Carry on. And welcome to The Rebellion!
  6. Tomorrow I'm supposed to deadlift as well, according to my schedule. And this time, I will get into the gym to do it!
  7. You are very welcome. I prefer the version from FF6 or FF9 though.
  8. Me neither, unfortunately. I will rejoin the conversation after work.
  9. Do it! Do it! We need to discuss the role pelvic tilt plays in helping or hindering posture.
  10. I discovered my library district has them. Holds have been placed.
  11. 1/4 cup salt 1/2 cup baking soda Pour 1 cup white vinegar into something microwave safe and heat it up by microwaving in 30 second intervals until it's Very Hot. Mix in large cup. Spoon the mixture into the drain you want to clean. Be patient, you want as much powder as possible to go down into where the clog is. Carefully pour the hot vinegar into the drain after the powder. Admire the fizzy fountain attempts. Leave the whole thing alone for a minimum of 15 minutes. Carefully pour boiling hot water into the drain to rinse everything out.
  12. I actually love planks for core strength. Also holding the three Warrior poses requires a lot of core strength as well, and is completely appropriate for any Warrior.
  13. Absolutely! No one cares how you win, as long as you do. Destroy that dungeon boss!
  14. This genuinely made me chuckle, and then I saw your edit...
  15. Whoa there! Moving straight to a huge bossfight on your first level is very ambitious. I salute you, warrior. Defeat this monster, and the rest will seem easy by comparison. You will also earn massive bragging rights, which is nothing to sneer at!
  16. You will want to start with The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee.
  17. One tiny step for @Mike Wazowski, one giant leap for his career?
  18. Alestorm are awesome. I prefer Gloryhammer, but only because they have unicorns.
  19. First report towards my goal of getting rid of books I will never finish or read again: I looked closely at the list of "in progress" books on my primary eReader, and identified all the ones I haven't touched in a month. I read a few pages in each to make sure it was one I was not going to finish, then removed it from the account. Total number of liberated books: 8
  20. Challenge goal update: 1. Tomorrow is gym day. Today is massively painful DOMS day. 2. Mediation streak possibly at risk. I overslept this morning (which sucked!) and was late for work. I skipped morning meditation, which ruined most of the day for me. Have resolved to meditate before bed tonight. 3. The orange juice kombucha is the tasty one. Sweet fruit juice seems like the way to go for the second fermentation. I will attempt to obtain some more for the next batch.
  21. Don't forget to buy appropriate battle gear as well!
  22. I have never tried, it never occurred to me. But I can undulate my pecs, does that count?
