  1. So, this push-up routine is awesome. But, I already have to buy new shirts because my old ones are too small. I guess that’s a good problem. 🤣
  2. Today I have officially reached the 10 lbs mark. My wife picked up a medicine ball and I’m having fun using it with my workouts. The only problem is it is pretty light weight. I plan on getting a heavier one soon since I’m enjoying it.
  3. I finally got some BCAAs. I mix them in water with unflavored gelatin and love it. Thanks!
  4. I’ve been thinking of getting some bcaa. Are the health benefits worth buying it? Because my new favorite meal:
  5. Dude yes! My hypothesis was that if I just focused on drinking a minimum amount of water instead of cutting out soda or coffee I naturally just wouldn’t drink as much. So far, it works I have been drinking much less coffee and haven’t wanted ANY soda since I started. Also, I could totally see myself naturally drinking as much water as you now.
  6. Hi Manarelle! My case was very mild. Though, I had enough fatigue that I could only do about 50 push ups. I started doing my push-ups as 10 sets of 10. It took a while. Now, I am doing 5 sets of 20. It takes 5 to 10 min now depend on how fast I do them and how long of break I take between each set. It can take up to ten because it seems to be better to do a few slower push ups than an bunch of fast one. I feel like I get more out of it. My goal is to keep pushing myself until I can do all 100 at once (not that I will always do that. I just want to know I can. I'll keep the smaller sets so I don't hurt myself.) I actually walk most days. I also go backpacking quite often, too. My problem has always been that I played sports and did things that give me great lower body strength, but I would skip arm day. My current routine has me doing push ups 3 days a week, with a mixed core and leg workout 3 days. Then, a day off. P.S. I just finished my first challenge and LOVE the support I find here!
  7. Day 1: As I start my new quest, I realize the push-ups are much easier starting my 2nd quest. On my first one, it took a long time to do 100 push-ups. I might need to add a walking/hiking goal to keep me interested. Maybe I should incline my push-ups? I have much to think about. I think I just want to go hiking now because I was playing Skyrim in survival this morning. I died.
  8. Chulainn enters the playground and starts a game of tag. YOUR IT!
  9. In my last challenge, I had COVID. I made some progress, but I wasn’t able to fulfill all my fitness goals. It is time to press on. My Goals: 1. Lose 10 lbs. I will eat in a caloric deficit while intermittent fasting. I am tracking calories and macros on my phone using Macros and using a fasting program on the Zero app. Also, I am drinking a minimum of 3500 ml of water a day as part of my fasting regimen. I will monitor and adjust to avoid hyper-hydrolysis if necessary. 2. Continue push up challenge. I will do 100 push ups 3 days a week and lower body / core workout 3 days a week. 3. Bullet Journal daily. Bullet journaling has been helping me manage my ADHD symptoms recently. Every evening before bed, I spend some time planning my next day.
  10. Hello All, So I followed through on everything except the push ups. After getting sick I was only able to do 50 at a time. But, I am feeling as good as new and able to do the full 100 now. I think I may continue the push ups for the next challenge. Even though I couldn’t do the whole challenge, my wife has noticed a change in my arms and chest. (Which she likes ). I lost 10 pounds, then Christmas hit.... So..... but hey I gained muscle!
  11. I am feeling better and kicked the symptoms pretty quick. I am sort of taking it easy. My push-up challenge have somewhat been postponed (though I am still doing some). Everything else is still very doable. I really appreciate the concern 😊.
  12. I’m sorry I haven’t updated this challenge yet folks. Here is where I stand: I caught COVID. For a few days I was pretty sick. I ate healthy and took care of myself. I am doing better now but am in quarantine. Today, I started with a green immune booster. Did 50 push ups and did a circadian fast. I am now getting ready for bed and feel pretty great. Like, I feel sick, but I’m not taking it lying down. The past few days, I have taken naps ( I never nap),meditated, and haven’t pushed myself. I have made sure to keep moving in my house and I am keeping myself busy. I have no intention on giving up on this challenge. I know the first three days have been a rough start, but I started a week sooner, so I think that makes up for them . Any-who, if anyone sees this, thank you. I am doing fine I will keep checking in on my challenge.
  13. Hello all, I used to be apart of the rebellion in an era past. Since then, I got married, had 2 kids, started working 70+ hours a week, and got fat. I used to be "skinny fat" now I'm just fat . It has been so long, I don't even remember my username/email used. Which is fine, I feel like a different person now anyway. I changed jobs to work less. Then the virus hit. I started working from home for a while. Then my job became useless in the new climate and I got laid off. My wife and I decided I would go back to school while staying home with the kids. She went and got a job and we moved to an empty house on my family farm. I have had a lot more time to meditate and think now. This has honestly been a great year for me to tackle unresolved issues with my ADHD. I used to do Taekwondo/ Jeet Kone do / Karate in high school and learned boxing and Tai Chi from my dad. I never identified as a monk before. Spending time outdoors and meditating has provided me with a lot more clarity about what I want with my health. Being locked up doing online schooling for the next 4+ years, I decided I needed some community. What better place than here where people have similar interests to me. It seems much better to come browse these forums and get inspired than to get lost in reddit for hours. My current quest outlines my current goals. So, I won't hash all that out here. Just to say my overall goal here is to achieve more balance in my mind and train my body in martial arts again. If you made it this far, thank you! I hope we can become friends and rebel together. Thank you, Chulainn P.S. If I need nerd credentials, my children and I are watching Clone Wars while I write this. lol
