1. Andy, what kind of stir fry do you make? I really enjoy it but every time I start reading about it I just go "Ugh, that looks horribly annoying to make." My other big issue is I'm not that of a fan of veggies and I love sauce. Do you use any sauce and have any recommendations?
2. Another day, another failure with food. When I get really upset I go to food. Today after work when I got to my car I sat down and just heard "ripppppppppppppppp." Yep, right now the middle I split my pants. That's one heck of a horrible feeling. I'm not sure how old the pants really are but you can't help but feel horribly fat when you rip your pants. So I went out to dinner with a friend and got stir fry. Could have been worse but coudl have been much much better. Food is my major weakness and I have no idea how to kick it. I'm tempted to say I'm addicted to food.
3. I don't actually have my fitness pal but if I ever get it I'll add you! Always nice to see someone around the same weight as I am. I always appreciate support but I think its kind of hard for people not my size to really get how uncomfortable life can be at this size. I'm glad that you are doing well! I should start tracking my calories again. That really helped me before and let me know for sure what I could and couldn't have. Small changes and that's a pretty easy one with all the apps and such now a days. Thanks!
4. Well... today wasn't that great. Had pizza. Not as much as I used to so that's a small win. But I did sign up for PF Chang's 5k and 10k. That's about 3 months away so I should have enough time to train for that and be able to do both of them. 5k is on a Saturday and then the 10k is the following Sunday. That type of thing really helps to keep me motivated. One day at a time.
5. I joined this site about 2 years ago. I was one of the first to do the Level Up Club and I posted quite a bit for a while. I've done 4 half marathons and I'd like to do more. I've been fat most of my life. I always turned to food for comfort and I still do. That's the problem. Especially now that I have a job and a car and I can get all the food I want. I did well for a while. I went from about 480 pounds to 350 pounds. Now I'm back up to about 481. A lot of stuff happened that I could list but when it all comes down to it I caused it myself. I went back to food as a means of feeling good instead of food as fuel for my body. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of wearing a 5xlt shirt. I'm tired of having to worry if I'll fit in someone's car. I hurt my back recently and got an x-ray. I had to stand up for it instead of laying down because I was too fat for the table. That's some embarassing stuff right there let me tell you. I had to buy a new scale because I started to weigh to much for my old one. So here's where I am. I am currently 26 years old. I am about 6'4. I am around 481 pounds. This is the heaviest I will ever be again. My back hurts and my ankle hurts and I think most of this is from weight. Exercise will be slow at first and mostly done at home so I don't mess anything up and can take breaks. The place I am moving to in November has a 24 hour fitness center. Nothing fancy but some weights and some cardio machines so I can use those. It also has a raquetball court. I plan to update this every day or so with my wins and my losses. My goal right now is to stop eating out. Eat at home or meals that I made and brought with me. If I go out with friends I will only buy an entree and nothing else. Ideally I want to get down to around 250 pounds. That is a long way off. I'm setting small goals. Here are some of them Get under 450 pounds. Walk up a flight of stairs without feeling winded all the time. Exercise as much as I can until back and ankle feel better. Its going to be hard. Its going to be tough. But I have decided that I don't want to live like this anymore. If you've read all of this thank you and I hope that you'll come with me on my journey. Attached is a picture of my scale. I'm gonna try to upload a picture of it once a week to keep myself honest with my weight. Can't really lie from a scale!

Whole30 cost

For those of you who have done Whole30, about how much would you say the entire 30 days of food cost you? Thanks for any info!
7. Got a 6 mile walk in today in about 1 hour 45 minutes. Now I'm really hungry and trying not to go out and buy food haha.
8. Couple drawings. Either done with a tutorial or from a reference. I'm pleased with both of these.
9. Hope everyone had a great turkey day! My food was decent considering. Also got a 4 mile walk in. Took me about 70 minutes. Wasn't bad.
10. No fast food for the past few days. Stlil eating a bit more than I should though. Haven't counted calories since I moved back home but am going to start back up again. Most annoying thing is with my weight I feel that the BMR calculators give me to high of an estimate. No learning or art yet today. Have been reading A Dance with Dragons a lot lately. Haven't read it yet but have read the first four in the series three times each. Really wish he would write faster though haha. Got a 5.3 mile walk in today. Took me about an hour and a half. Saturdays are my long walks. Go up by about a mile each week. I almost gave up before this run really started. Around the 1 mile ish mark my shin / ankle was hurting pretty bad. Was thinking of just going home and stopping. Instead I rested it a bit every so often and before I knew it, the pain was gone. Hardest part for me is starting and not giving up right at the start.
11. Wnet for a small walk. Food was okay today. Still not as good as I want it
12. Food was bad today. Was supposed to go to the gym but really didn't feel like it. Was going to do nothing but convinced myself to go for a fast walk. I walked about 3 miles in about 50 minutes. Not bad but not that great either. I drew a couple of pictures today for my learning stuff. Found some tutorials and followed em. Turned out decent.
13. Nice goals! I like the RPG theme. A good book to look at for body weight exercises is called Convict Conditioning. Talks about body weight exercises. (Not sure how much of this is true but...) the author says he was in prison and this is how prisoners stayed in good shape without weights and such.
14. Thanks for the words of support guys! emptyknight, I was messing around in walmart for that pic haha. Yeah those crazy diets are around 500 calories a day. Makes you go insane but seeing the weight go down is nice. Granted I'm sure wayyyy to much of it is muscle which is why I don't want to do it again. Already cut out majority of soda. Still drink diet every so often but working on kicking that habit. Veggies is a good idea. I should get some. I got my 2 mile walk in today. Forgot to time it, whoops. Woke up at like 7:09 (snooze button) so that went alright. Think I'm gonna try to get up and go for a walk as soon as I wake up tomorrow. Have not done anything to learn so far today. That is still coming up!
15. So I missed out on the last challenge and the first one I did I kinda dropped the ball, on my foot, which broke it, and my leg, not sure how that works but pretty sure I did HORRIBLE. I've been fighting with a massive case of "god I hate myself, I am going to eat the world and feel better." I have a horrible relationship with food. I currently live at home (going back to college) and that doesn't help things a great deal. Went from own place with job to little bedroom with no job. So working on that. I did the first level up club and since then I've gained 30 pounds because of the above. I hate it. I am currently 392.6 pounds, about 6'4 and am training for a half marathon in January. Crazy, I know. I used to be at about 360 but it seems the only way I can actually lose weight is doing crazy insane diets. When I count calories it doesn't work. I did the HORRIBLE HCG diet and lost a TON of weight and felt fine. Was good with eating habits for a bit afterwards. But then moved back home and everything went bye bye. I know there are thyroid issues in my family so gonna get that checked out soon, although I know that's not an end all thing for weight. Its a small thing. Anyway, that's the awesome story so far of Slovien, more or less. Now time for the goals! 1. Fitness - Continue on my half marathon schedule. http://running.about.com/od/racetraining/a/basichalf.htm Following this one. I am currently on week 3. 2. Diet - No fast food. None. No McDonalds, no Pizza Hut, none of it. I have spent wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much money on these places and its hurting my savings as well as my waist line. I will eat with my family and supplement home made food myself for those meals we don't eat together. Thinking of trying paleo next year if I get enough money (student loans) to do so. 3. Life/Health - Get to bed at a decent time and wake up 6-7 am. I have had a horrible sleep schedule lately and want to fix that. That means bed no latter than 10 pm and getting up no later than 7 am which my alarm is set for. 4. Life - Work on learning things I want. I am going to college (starting next semester) for Japanese / Math possibly. So work on getting the foundations of Japanese as well as looking up coding (computer, mainly python.) I have ZERO knowledge of that but have found a few sites that talk about it and about making games so, for fun, I shall look up that. I will do these things at least four times a week if not every day. I think these seem like some decent goals that I can work with. I am ready to rock it out and try anything I can to get to a decent weight. As I'm sure is the same with a lot of you the two main things in my way are money and willpower. I hope that updating this as well as with the support of others here, I will be able to do it!
