  1. I can get the medicine in her, but the problem is she stopped eating She stayed at the vet last night. Waiting for them to call and let me know how she did. They are hoping that giving her some fluids will help her feel well enough to eat again. Quick challenge wrap up: I made progress. My Russian fell a little, but I am going to pick that up as this life stuff settles down. I am at least back in the gym. I had 2 weeks that I only got to the gym twice. Not perfect but still better. Onward to a better challenge this time (as soon as I figure out how my goals are going to change).
  2. Your horses sound adorable, but this thread needs pictures.
  3. I may be crazy but the peanut butter and butter thing doesn't actually sound that bad to me lol
  4. Add me to the "I like OHP" club....
  5. So I am still here. I'm not going to bother typing every day up, as there's not much interesting to report. The kid is all better. I ended week 3 with only 2 lifting sessions due to his illness (he was home from school Thursday and Friday) and the school carnival Saturday, which was an all day thing. I did lift Sunday. I also accidentally broke my duolingo streak. SO messed up my perfect streak on the lifting and russian goals. Oops >_> Cleaning I've basically given up on. I need other people in my house to assist me and with everything going on of late, it's mainly just me cleaning up 5 peoples' and 2 cats worth of messes. Speaking of cats, I had to take Binki to the vet on Monday because she has been coughing. There is likely something going on with her heart They want to do an ECG. Right now they have me giving her a couple meds to see if that helps. It's horrible. Last night she bit the capsule with the antibiotic in it and I KNOW that stuff tastes horrid. I am not looking forward to trying to get her to take it tonight. She is clearly distressed over this. I'm not 100% sure she is eating. She won't touch the canned cat food which is usually a big treat (because I had tried putting the med in it). Ugh. This bites. On Tuesday I had a sort of PR with my Deadlifts. I lifted 175 for 5 (I had previously lifted it once at camp). I've almost got my lifts caught up to what they were when I was lifting for two months before (and it's only been one month) so I am making good progress. Soon I will get to my old OHP and Bench working weights. Also squat, even though that's a weak lift for me. Day 4.4 - Thursday Got to the gym this morning, even though I'm feeling off mentally. Warm Up- Treadmill- 3 min walk, 2 min run Arm circles & hip openers Dislocates - 2 x 10 Burpees - 1 x 15 Squat- 2 x 5 @ 45 1 x 3 @ 65 5 x 5 @ 100 I repeated my squat weight from last time because it doesn't feel right yet. I keep trying to tip forward onto my toes and quad it up. Working on fixing it. Also, on one set, I had a major clang on the safety which totally threw me off balance and I almost got stuck in the whole. Grrrrrr. So 2 of my reps were messed up. I'm going to go ahead and repeat this weight next time, too, until I get my form fixed. Bench Press- 2 x 5 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 75 These felt pretty good but were definitely work. I am hoping I just blow straight through to my old working weight before I struggle. Barbell Rows- 2 x 5 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 75 Roman Chair Extensions- 3 x 10 @ 10 Susp. knee raises- 3 x 10 Push ups - 3 x 5 I've already done my Russian for today but I'm kind of bummed about such a long streak being broken. I know it's just one day, but blah. I'm just mentally feeling off today. Battling with the part of me that says "hey, you're learning to be consistent again and making progress!" and the other part of me that is trying to beat that person up every time I look in a mirror. There are only 2 or 3 months left until warm weather and my fat ass doesn't fit into my shorts. I know I should not have typed that but that's what my brain is telling me today. IllogiKoo sucks.
  6. It will be worth the weight! er. wait. LOL honest I typed it wrong at first but it's too humorous to backspace.
  7. Too tiny, can't read on an actual computer hehe
  8. If your carrot cake is making noises, you may have a problem.
  9. I see your kitty is as helpful as mine are At least you didn't get trapped under him...
  10. I agree, it's entirely possible they were not measured correctly. I'm more in the camp of "who cares what the numbers are as long as I'm making progress?" Comparing one's self to someone else's body is useless. An excellent example is my sister and I. We are the same height and similar bone structure, but I *always weigh more than her, even when she is wearing a larger size than me and is obviously more fluffy than me. I'm just more dense, perhaps more muscular. Your numbers should only be compared to you.
  11. The only comment I have re: the vehicles is to think ahead. I don't know how long you want to have this vehicle or if you have any plans to start a family, but putting carseats into trucks can be a major pain in the tuckus. Very inconvenient young family vehicle.
  12. This may be more of a weekend meal, but it's SOOO GOOOD... http://meljoulwan.com/2010/02/02/greek-beef-stew/ Could possibly adapt it for an instant pot and make it faster I can't remember if you've joined that cult heheh
  13. I'm late to the "say all the supportive things!" party and everyone said them all, but I agree! I have faith you can beat your demons! You've already shown you can do it once, that means you can certainly do it again, and for longer. There's no shame in taking a step back and increasing focus. Your ability to see it and adapt shows how far you've already come!
  14. I hope you feel better soon *hugs* Lil Bro showed up with a fever after school
  15. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand more from the boring Koo Chronicles. Got my Russian done early today. I learned yet another way to say "eating" and still have no idea which one is appropriate where Went with G-man on a field trip to the State Capital and the Historical Museum. It was fun! We had a great tour guide that told some interesting stories in the capital. For instance, when the capital building burned down in 1904, it just happened that maintenance had disconnected the rather expensive sprinkler system that had been installed (they needed to repair it), so there was no water to put out the fire. They couldn't get water out of the nearby lakes (our capital is on an Isthmus) because it was frigidly cold, and when they called Milwaukee and Janesville to try to get them to send some water, it was frozen by the time it got to us (via railway 90 minutes later). So they basically had students help them save the papers and books in the law library, then stood and watched the rather expensive bonfire. To make matters even worse, they had voted to cancel the capital's fire insurance weeks before. Ouch. Once I headed home and ate lunch, back still felt okay so decided to go ahead and LIFT THE THINGS: -Warm up- The usual -Squats- 2 x 5 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 90 Okay these are getting challenging now. They felt heavy at the bottom if I didn't get any bounce. My weight was wanting to tip forward onto my toes on a few reps, but I can feel it and I know it's happening, so that should help me work on correcting it. Right hip flexor feels a little twingey. I think I will repeat this weight a couple times until it becomes comfortable again. -OHP- 1 x 3 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 60 Repeated my last weight on this. Which was likely a good idea as these felt heavy still. Last rep of last set was sloooooooooooooooooow. But still counts as long as it gets up there! -Deadlift- 1 x 5 @ 135 5 x 5 @ 165 These felt heavy, but good! Was definitely out of breath when done. That grip still wants to loose. -Roman Chair extensions- 3 x 10 @ 10 -Suspended Knee lifts- 3 x 10 I walked out of the gym feeling exhausted, but good Got home shortly before the kids. Lil' Bro walks in and plops down on the couch, proceeding not to move for 10 minutes. Any of you who know Lil' Bro knows that this is highly unusual. This kid does not stop moving. At about 10 minutes he says "I don't really feel good." Yep, not surprised as he has almost a 102 degree fever. That's what I get for telling someone just last night that none of my kids had been sick at all this school year.
  16. Day 2.6-Saturday Good day, did my Russian, didn't hit my checklist, but did a bunch of cleaning in the kitchen so that's still progress. Rest day, so no workout. Day 2.7-Sunday Russian- Check LIFT THE THINGS- Totally forgot my phone. I had no music and my workout app was not with me. Luckily I had my trusty notebook to refer to. -Warm Ups- (same ol) Treadmill 5/1, arm circles, hip openers Dislocates with band- 2 x 10 (Trying to make sure I do these each time as I have some horrendous shoulder mobility on both sides, but especially the side I had surgery on) Burpees - 1 x 15 -Squats- 2 x 5 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 85 -Bench Press- 1 x 3 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 65 (finally starting to feel this since I restarted weights. Not quite challenging, but certainly felt muscles working.) -Barbell Rows- 1 x 5 @ 45 5 x 5 @ 75 - These were tough. Definitely going to repeat this weight. -Roman Chair Extensions- 3 x 10 @ 10 -Suspended Knee Lifts- 3 x 10 Cleaning- Eh. I dunno what to do with this. I need to analyze why I'm fighting this goal so hard. part of it is just a lot of things going on. I'm hoping things will settle down after this week and the whole school carnival thing. (I can't remember if I mentioned that before). Day 3.1-Monday Russian- Done Exercise- Didn't do anything Cleaning- Got about two things done because of ridiculous back pain on breathing. I am not sure what on earth I did on Sunday. Possibly the Rows? Possibly all the coughing I was doing Sunday evening, but by Monday morning I had back/ribcage issue. Pain every time I would breathe in. I know it was some sort of muscle or something. Felt like there was a pinched nerve, too. It had my not wanting to move all day. The heating pad and me became friends by the afternoon. Evening brought a muscle relaxer and sleep. And by the morning it was just gone. Weird!!!! Day 3.2-Tuesday Russian- Done Exercise- I was supposed to lift this day but decided not to. With the back issues I was having the day before, I just wanted to give it another day to make sure I didn't actually hurt something. Cleaning List- Maybe half done. I was not even home most of the day. Did a lot of volunteering at the school.
  17. It definitely did, thanks! It was just mad because I haven't done anything like that in a while (and REALLY hilly neighborhood). right and now a few days later, it has snowed all day lol. Oh well....
  18. Hooray! Glad you are feeling better!
  19. LOL Add me to that camp.....
  20. I hope they get down to the bottom of this soon It took about 6 months for them to figure out what was wrong with Mr. Koo, so I totally understand this stress :/
  21. Mother's Milk is a specific type of medicinal tea that is supposed to help increase your milk supply. Most doctors tend to nix any untested herbals and supplements when you're pregnant, thus why they don't want to use that.
  22. So how did the scarf taste?
