  1. Hey guys, after a month of intermittent fasting I achieved my first stone of weight loss! Been skipping breakfast, drinking lots of water and just replaced bad lazy eating habits with fresh healthy food at lunch + dinner time and have added a lunchtime walk every day to my routine. I can't tell you how much better I feel already, I have so much more energy and don't feel absolutely knackered by the evening and am able to put that energy into playing with my 2 young kids . The best bit is I don't even feel like I'm on a diet, just a lifestyle change that I hope I can stick to for good - no more yoyo diets. A big thanks to Steve for being an inspiration and giving me the tools and motivation to do this. I hope you will all keep pushing me on to reach my end goal of 164lbs (currently 184)! Kiz
  2. My favourites right now (in the UK) are SAS who dares wins (great one for fitness nerds - basically a group of guys put through the sas selection regime over a couple weeks 25 guys and whittled down to a few who survive the intense selection regime) and Hunted (show about a bunch of 'fugitives' have to outrun a crack team of hunters who use state powers to track them down and capture them , those who make it to the end without capture get a share of £100k with the others who make it)
  3. Hey I'm kizz and I too am from gods own county! Based near York now but born and bred in Brat'fud! Fairly new member to the forums 3 weeks in to my intermittent fasting journey and down 11lbs so far!
  4. Thanks laghail, I'm a week in and feeling good, making small changes for the better and I feel like this is something I can stick to for good
  5. Hey Nerds, Im Kizz, im 32 and dad of 2, huge Marvel geek - and i've finally decided to get myself into shape - I was always a healthy and active kid til I hit my late teens and things just went downhill from there. I've done all sorts of diets lost a lot of weight on those (im pretty good in the willpower department) but I always end up getting fed up of the unsustainable diet and fall back into old ways. I've been eating fairly healthily on an evening for a while now and lost a few pounds, but I was eating really unhealthy at lunch with a supermarket over the road and discovering share bags of crisps....! I discovered Intermittent fasting and decided to do my own research into this and thats how I ended up here. Im 3 days in so far and its going great, i've pretty much got the hunger pangs under control when im fasting through the morning and im already feeling better and less lethargic which was a big problem for me. I really struggle for time to workout because my job is so far away from home, getting the kids to bed, eating and by then theres little time left - im trying to make up for this by going for walks on my lunch break but happy to hear any other ideas! I've always lacked that community support network to keep me going, keep me motivated and give me a kicking when I need it - I hope I've found that here in you nerds!
