  1. Weather is conspiring against me for walking, but that's ok. I'll head to the gym to get some lifting in.
  2. I now yell at cars to slow down when they drive down my street too fast. It scares my dogs.
  3. Get it gurl, I know you can do it. I'm recommitting myself to yoga, speed walking, and lifting, plus cleaning up my diet, so I feel you. I hurt my back and I let it take me out more than it should have. I'd like to get strong enough to compete again. And light enough to get in my old weight class. It will happen for both of us.
  4. Question for the sages

I have such a hard time working out at home, so many distractions. No space, if I do yoga the pets are all over me, not the right equipment, etc. I much prefer the gym, sure it is sometimes social, but pretty much everyone is there to work so we all get to it. Plus, I am paying for it, so I don't want my money to go to waste. That's just how I am, every time I've tried working out at home, it just doesn't work. It's great that your gym has child care, I'd take advantage of that as much and as long as I could, if I were you.
  5. It's been a while

I feel you, I stopped journaling my food, keep missing yoga, and don't do my cardio. Pretty much dropped out of it all. I still lift at the gym, but even that is sporadic, I use my gym partner as an excuse, if she can't make it, I won't go. Schedule changes, hurt back, mom's ill health, etc I let all these things get in the way. Now I have to claw my way back. Learning about other peoples challenges and how they overcome them is so inspirational. Good luck on your journey, I'll be checking in occasionally to see how you are doing.
  6. I bought tickets for the early comedy show, not the late one. I had to explain my "Glengarry, Glen Ross "Coffee is for closers" reference. I had to write about tanning stickers and I did more research than I did when I write about laser therapy. The list goes on.
  7. What made you smile today?

My little dog playing with his toy. He's just so joyful.
