  1. Up early today with a purpose!! Have to find my motivation.
  2. Phew it has been a rough past 5 days -- back at it though got up and went to bed and did the rest of my goals. Not much else to report on at the moment except that I am looking forward to adding some yoga/stretching goals next challenge. *Sips coffee and waits patiently for the morning light*
  3. Went to bed a little after 9:30, still need to get in a bit earlier but felt good about it, woke up naturally before my alarm around 4 but went back to sleep until the alarm at 4:30. Got up and did some neck and upper body stretches which was a big step so proud of myself! .
  4. Wishing you the best to get past this! Your observation of why you may be feeling that way is interesting. You are strong!! Edit: I was responding to page 1 on accident haha I've been away too long, glad your goals seem to be going well also!!

  6. Thank you! It was incredibly peaceful. ------- I felt a lot more awake this morning and can only attribute this to two things. 1) I am getting used to the schedule or 2) I had a break from work. It's probably a mix of both. We had a great trip in the icy wilderness, the Alaskan Huskies are amazing animals. Goal update (% of completion to date): - Wake at 4:30 am every morning (85%) - Read my inspirational book of Tao (1 chapter in the morning and write what I feel about it) (85%) - Leave my wife a loving note to wake up to (95%) - Be in bed by 9:30 (if life events get in the way of this like family events, etc., my strategy will be to still get up the next day at 4:30 and stick to the schedule) (40%) I am struggling to get to bed by 9:30 so I will make this more of a focus on the back end of this challenge. I am pleased with the progress of the others. Today's Tao spoke on not living for the 5 senses, but instead with inner conviction and appreciation of those senses. I will need to think more on this.

    Adding to watchlist! Thank you for the recommendation!! ------------------ I am back from my travels and have learned a great deal, mainly that everyday decisions are important and should be treated with thought and respect as they can permanently shape ones journey.
  8. Goals are going good still! Had a busy past couple of days so wasn't able to post much. Leaving for our vacation today!! so won't be back for a week! See you all!!
  9. It went great, was able to get up at 4:30, which is my goal! That is excellent great job on getting up and doing yoga and meditating, I think I will incorporate one of those into my next challenge!

  11. That's great to hear, glad you found relief for that. Following! Your goals are noble. Glad to hear work is going well and life with the toddler too!
  12. I wish it was that easy for me!! Still feeling like a slug until I get at least 2 cups of coffee in me and an hour passes. -------- Today is a big day for me. This weekend I didn't stay true to 2 of my goals (wake up/go to bed) and was down on myself thinking I could possibly screw my habit up. The alarm rang out this morning and boy was I tired. Confused to the sound emitting from my phone, in my grogginess, I grabbed it and thought, "You'll be okay, you just have to get up." and I did! The verse of the Tao I reflected on today made me want to incorporate meditation into my life more regularly. This will be something I consider for the next challenge round. This week my wife and I are going on a dog sledding adventure and are looking forward to the time off work and the quality time. We had to go to the local merchant to purchase appropriate garb yesterday, which was fun. Wish us luck as we will be "roughing it" in the wilderness and snow. Can't wait!

Thank you, I did use this and she liked it haha. ----- We went out last night and stayed up kind of late (went to bed at 11) and then woke up at 8, boo need to get back on track with the 9:30 / 4:30 goal. Not going to get too down on myself because I do want to live life but still need to be disciplined at the end of the day. Doing my other items though and thinking about adding mini quests with lower XP amounts to help me achieve other small tasks - but maybe not, obviously very indecisive right now. Will think more on this.

    I think my wife would appreciate this "sweet talking" & "heart breakfast" *taking notes* Happy Friday :] That is a great point, you ever hear of those folks using that mini trampoline? Like Tony Robbins? I heard someone at work talking about how it is great for them in the morning to "loosen up". I don't know if I'm ready for the gym (and gym buddy) yet but maybe I'll look into this so I can at least get my body used to moving again, and it seems fun (perhaps a bit dangerous). Happy Friday :]
