Good that you were able to talk things through with your mum, in a way that was probably helpful for both of you. I get it's disappointing when a plan falls through, but sounds like you are managing to approach it in a positive way. Well done

Sounds good to me - diet staying on track during a business trip is no mean feat!
-
Well done with keeping an eye on your diet - hard when you are away from home and have lots of weird timetabling.
-
Sometimes it's hard to see progress when it's gradual, but your exercise is going well, you are talking more about your food prep, so that's probably better too , and you are tracking your food. Well done

Just remember to take things a step at a time. The difficult times will pass, you sound a well organised person, have your husband for support and are doing your best
-
Well done with your finals. Just give your parents time to adjust. I'm sure if they see you happy in your new situation, they'll get more relaxed about it

Your coconut flour bread sounds interesting. Sorry you're having a difficult time. Just keep going either the things you can control, one step at a time. All the effort you put in to keep your health on track is worth it

Yes, I'm lucky to be going round such beautiful places. So, the update! Diet - pretty much ok. Bit chaotic. Quite a lot of salad and veggie food, almost complete absence of cake BWW - hopeless this week. Just been so busy ( and tired from 6.00am starts etc) and difficulty finding appropriate places that almost nothing done. Will try putting some more elements in over next few days Hiking - still doing about 8000-10000 steps per day, but forgetting to enter on walk to Mordor spreadsheet. Butterflies - yes, friend exited that she saw at least half a dozen, some having dogfights in the air to defend their territory Updating log variable because of difficulty accessing both internet and electricity!! Still following other people's progress when able

Sorry to hear about the sickness and hope you're all on the mend. I'm also hanging in there with the 5 minutes here and there as I can. (I found the free resource 'angry birds' at nerd fitness helpful as it gives you an idea of how to challenge yourself and see if you're improving)

How did your 2nd week go? I'm not scoring as highly on this challenge as my first, by I think it was always going to be more tricky

The reward seems entirely reasonable. Good luck with finals

Managed 30 squats during my gentle hike. Those, at least, seem to be getting easier. Planks tomorrow - probably after putting the tent up in the rain. Wish me luck! With both......

Found a suitable bench on my hike and did some incline pushups. It was on sloping ground too, so did 20 on the uphill slope - no problem - then tried 10 on downhill slope. Surprised at how hard they were!!!!! Lovely ridge walk today - luckily there were some scattered trees to provide shade, so I had to show my gratitude by lying on the soft cool grass, listening to the skylarks, watching the red kites soaring above ( beautiful birds) and reading my book.

Sounds like things are really working well for you - keep going. Well worth the effort

Well. Friend spotted the butterfly that her fieldwork habitat surveys are for. They've only just appeared though - about 3 weeks later than normal
-
Well done with workouts and meals and I'm sure Spenser is celebrating the win of an extra walk!
-

Really hot today - tried to stick to shady walks. Bluebells really late this year - usually mid april. Managed 30 Squats though, in amongst the old trees

Our venomous snake is the adder- much smaller thank goodness! They like sunbathing on the tracks round where we live so you have to be careful not to step on them

You're doing great! I'm impressed
