  1. Hot and sunny day butterfly hunting
  2. Well I have, at some point this week managed 20 sec X3 of planks, 30 squats and 40 pushups - a bit varied and random where I've done them - bathroom, picnic blanket etc, but will try to do the same again next week. Leave bothers and start camping again middle of next week. Looking forward to that

  5. I've decided that as I appear to have a lot of time for reading at the moment whilst waiting around, that I might actually try reading lord of the rings. Never read it before - read the Hobbit, but bits of the lord of the rings film that I saw in the background, usually whilst doing something else, put me off. I just need to find a second hand bookshop.....
  6. Beautiful sunny day today, although cool, so walked across the downs with a book. Lots of birdsong - could be the bad weather is behind us
  7. Sounds like you're making good progress on the walking. I find popcorn hard to resist to, but have managed to switch from toffee popcorn to sweet and salty (mostly!) , quite a lot less sugar but still a fun snack

  10. Not a lot of progress today - didn't manage to fit n any bodyweight stuff, diet ok and hiking so-so. Still, at least it was sunny
  11. Still pouring with rain!! Did planks yesterday, will do something else today, probably squats. Succumbed to cheese scone - I think the rain was a good enough reason. Otherwise diet ok

  17. Sounds like you've set yourself up well for the coming weeks -organising trainer, developing pull up habit etc. You can do this!
  18. Great news that things look positive for the job - not surprised you celebrated. Well done
  19. Fitted in 40 knee press ups in 3 sets, with an extra set of 10 - definitely the most I can do. Another ** on the angry birds. Will work out if I can do the reverse row- using the car seat and dumbell in a carpark on Monday (when we're back out in the middle of nowhere). Diet ok - quite proud of myself for consistently not getting cake when sitting in cafes using their electricity to charge devices!

  21. What do you grow in your garden? Always good to see it waking up in spring, even though everything is late this year. Enjoy your time in it
  22. Good progress with the steps. I found that I was more consistent trying the walk run method ( Google Jeff Galloway) cos I just found periods of running longer than 30 seconds really difficult and the walk run built up my distances quite quickly without me hating it - worth a look. Might help your overall fitness and become an enjoyable habit

  24. Already done 3 sets of 10 squats. Result!! Tomorrow the press-ups. Now off to the fieldwork
