  1. Update: Unfortunatly we have had thunderstorms for most of the last week, so yeah...the walking and excersise decreased and the screen time majorly increased. That's something I will have to give more thought to for the next challenge. On a more positive note, we have been doing well with the vegetables and I have been getting to sleep on time.
  2. Thank you guys for your support. I want to wish all the moms a Happy Mother's Day! We are doing well so far with our goals. I have taken a walk every day so far, and done well eating the vegetables. I didn't quite get to bed on time the first night but have managed to do so every night since. My son has done well with the vegetables too. I think he has skipped a couple of days on the jumping jacks, but he and his 2-year-old sister put on some fun music and danced for almost 30 minutes one of those days. He's also been doing well with the screen time. I think there was only one day he went over his 2 hours.
  3. I agree with you about the screen time. I have a bad habit of wasting way to much time looking at the computer or my phone too.
  4. Thank you. It's nice to know there are others doing this with kids. My son will be excited to know other kids are joining their parents as well.
  5. Thank you all for your encouragement. We are working on our first set of goals. I am eating more veggies and taking a walk each day. My son saw me looking at the 4-week challenges and decided to create his own goals along with me. We are doing pretty well so far.
  6. Hi everyone, I am excited to start my new challenge. I am a homeschooling mom with 2 active children. I found nerd fitness when I did a Google search for beginner workouts. I have been looking around the site for a while and decided to try a challenge. My ultimate goals are to lose some weight and to have more energy to keep up with my kids. My 8-year-old plans to join me for my challenges, and since we limit who he personally talks to online, I will be posting his goals as well. I hope that's okay. My goals for this challenge are: 1. To eat at least one serving of vegetables per day 2. To walk for at least 10 minutes each day 3. To go to bed by 10:00 pm each night. My son's goals are 1. To eat at least one serving of vegetables per day 2. To do 10 jumping jacks each day 3. To spend no more than two hours on screens each day.
  7. Hello everyone, I am a homeschooling mom with 2 children. A soon to be 4th grader and a 2-year-old. I would like to lose some weight, but my ultimate goal is to have more energy so I can keep up with my kids and not feel exhausted all the time. I also want to set a good example for them so they will learn to eat healthily and exercise regularly. I'm almost positive my oldest will want to do whatever I am doing workout wise (possibly nutrition-wise as well). I'm looking forward to starting this journey towards a healthier me.
  8. I'm new here also, and I also homeschool my 2 children.
