  1. Really cool, I wish I had any artistic talents. Following along, I love stronglifts, I use it for my upper body lifts and have been trying to run and bike for lower body, my legs are already huge compared to upper body. Good luck withthe caffeine it's a problem for me as well.
  2. Week Zero recap: Did pretty well for the week, missing out on one of my dinners, my Parents were visiting and couldnt turn down Chinese food Friday night, and getting all my workouts in. Didn't actually started the 5k to 10k program, as I realized my running really suffered during my 2 weeks of being sick/allergy attack. Cardio: Did all 3 Peloton rides, two 20 min rides and one 30 min ride and all 3 Runs, one 20min and two 25 min runs. Definitely felt stronger on the 3rd run, maybe Ill do one more week and then start the running program. Lifting: Did all 4 lifts, Bench to 155, Row to 125, OHP to 85, still my favorite activities. Meals: Followed through on my goals of 5/7 planned breakfasts of Ample drink and one piece of fruit and 6/7 lunches which was one better than planned, but only 4/7 dinners. Overall pleased and really enjoying the frozen meals from The Good Kitchen, that made the week much easier, especially with all the free food we are offered at work for lunches. Weight loss: In the end I lost 1lb which was my goal for each week. Bedtime: got to bed by 930p 4 times, Boston Celtics being in the playoffs really messing that up, lol. Reading: Started Fahrenheit 451 from the books I bought, excited to finish and watch the HBO movie. Felt much better, which I usually do when I eat Paleo-ish, and getting to bed early left me consuming less caffeine than usual which was great, on to the official week 1.
  3. Yeah, whole thing twice, thruhiked in '99, took 142 days, in 2001 did 1000 miles from NC/Virginia border to CT to finish a section hike. My ultimate dream is to attempt the AT 4 times in one calendar year, so roughly 8800 miles.
  4. It's funny, I mostly hate running, but its something my wife likes and its about the only sporty thing she does, so I have begrudgingly got into it. My passion is long distance hiking, I've done the Appalachian trail twice, but with the family and job, there's no time for that. I mostly run in the woods, gives me a taste at least. Going to try to do some trail run races this fall, there's a few 5 to 6 milers.
  5. Going to run 7 week program, starting in zero week and continuing through the 2 week “summer break”, because why not. Just getting over 2 weeks of feeling awful, combination of allergies and getting sick from the kids, knocked me off all my cardio efforts, not being able to breathe really puts a damper on things. Im a Cardiac Cath Lab nurse, work 2 jobs and take lots of call, but Ive been doing some form of this program for a couple of months, just not very consistently, especially the cardio, haven’t missed much of the lifting. Long time EQ player, mostly on the Mac server way back, really miss Al’Kabor, hence my character’s name. Looking for something new, just downloaded Eve to try out. Major goal: lose weight, going for 1lb per week, so 7 lbs, starting at 180lb, Ideally want to get back under 170 and stay there, Im only 5’8”, so really should be like 165 or so. Cardio goals: Continue Peloton rides, goal 3x per week Start 5k to 10k training program, should almost finish the 9 week program. Program consists of 3 runs per week. Strength goals: Continue lifting program: 2 days of Barbell bench and row, 2 days of barbell OHP and DB curl. I reset my weights while sick, trying to get over last maxes of 165/135 on the Bench and Row, and 100lb the OHP Nutrition goals: Trying to be realistic with life, leaving room for date night with the wife and meals with family on weekends, and nights I have to sleep at work while on-call, so goal is 5 out of 7 for each meal: Breakfasts: Ample drink with fruit Lunches: Good Kitchen prepared meals Dinnner: cook one Paleo meal (5-6 servings) for dinner each night Life goals: Get to bed at 10p. Im up at 440am each morning to walk the dog and do my cardio, so really need to get to bed earlier Start reading again, just bought a bunch of Sci-fi classics, Dune, Ender’s Game, and 10 others
