  1. 17 here! So I'm right with you, though I'm a fair bit taller/heavier
  2. Welcome to the community! You'll definitely love it around here I've got you beat in the age category though (I'm 17 )
  3. I'm not going to be there anytime soon, but I am going to Georgia Tech this fall, so I'll jump into the meetups when that time gets here
  4. Doo eet! Welcome to the community, jem! I'm more or less right along with you: 17, 5'10", 220 - 230 lbs (just guesstimating on the weight)
  5. Never. I may take a few sips per year, but that's about it. And thanks!
  6. I don't think I'm ready to start the 6-week challenge right now. I'm hoping to kind of gradually work my way up, because right now, I'm incredibly out of shape and I'm not sure if I can even take doing a lot of exercise right now. I'm going to try though
  7. I haven't thought of any specific goals, other than to get my blood pressure down (even though that is incredibly vague and general). My immediate goals, generally speaking, are to actually be able to more than a few push-ups and at least one pull-up
  8. Well, I'm returning yet again. Hopefully, this will be the time where I actually stick around. I doubt any of you remember me (it's been close to a year since I made a disappearing act), so this might as well be a greeting message. Anyways, I'm back due to recent revelation that I have incredibly high blood pressure and that I need to exercise and get in shape. For those of you who are interested, I have roughly around 160 systolic and 100 diastolic. I'm also 17 :/ So yeah, I really need to get in shape and get that down, else my adult life will most likely be plagued with health problems. A
  9. The Nerdist podcast. It's audio only, which should suit you just fine. It's nerdy enough to be a perfect fit for someone on NerdFitness
  10. At one point (say, a few months), I think I was hitting maybe four or five Cokes per day. Luckily, I never really developed any kind of problems from it, whether it be a cyst like you had or a physical dependence on it. (And yay, it is Val!)
  11. Woo! I never really drink coffee so I'm good there. But I had trouble giving up my precious Cokes. I did eventually, and now all I drink is tea, water, and (as of this past week) gatorade. So you can do it!
  12. Woo! Glad to find my particular circumstances aren't unique I'm just hoping that I can get on track physically and stay there.
  13. Right, I'm back. Most of you probably won't remember me as I wasn't incredibly active back when I was actually on here. If I remember correctly, I joined back around the first few days of January and I was moderately active for about a month, maybe two. Then I dropped off the map. Let's go on and get this out of the way. I'm lazy. No doubts about that and no way to get around it. That's who I am, it's my core. Motivation doesn't really work for me. It isn't that I don't react well to motivation, it's that I generally don't react at all. I'm more or less apathetic. For the longest, the though
