  1. After a severe breakup with the girl I was going to marry, I've been struggling with faith. For the majority of my life I've been more agnostic (with a mix between Christian and Buddhist philosophies) but always had a keen interest in the study of religion and spirituality. Due to the recent circumstances, a lot of soul searching, and just trying to cope with the depression I've been looking more into Christianity. So I guess you could say I'm going through a faith transition currently.

  3. Hey there! I'm Gathrightknight and I'm starting this log to help me keep track of my exercise and keep me motivated! After going through a heartbreaking experience - I'm working to better myself and my life! My goals are to get more fit by doing some weight training and cardio; I currently come in at approximately 125 lb and would like to increase that to 140 with in six months. I would like to increase my muscle mass as well as work on removing some fat around my stomach area. My schedule per week: Sunday - Strength Training Monday - Off Day Tuesday - Strength Training Wednesday - Cardio Thursday - Strength Training Friday - Off Day Saturday - Cardio I have successfully completed one week of the Nerd Fitness Beginner Bodyweight Workout. I am currently on week 2 and have increased the reps per set. I also switched out the dumbbell rows for curls for the time being. For Cardio I am doing 15 minutes of HIIT. Week of July 29 - August 4 Nerd Fitness Beginner Bodyweight Workout (x3) - 25 Bodyweight Squats - 15 Pushups - 26 Walking Lunges - 15 Dumbbell Curls (10 lb weight) - 30 second plank - 40 jumping jacks I have been logging my workouts and meals via hardcopy but want to go more public for accountability. If anyone wants to give constructive criticism, advice, or motivation, please feel free! And Thanks!
  4. I prefer sweet bologna, but I respect your taste buds' opinion! I generally eat sandwiches with either bologna or chicken lunch meat. Really? I'll have to start looking for more natural lunch meats then.
  5. Haha Thanks! And yeah, it tastes good but I know it's not great health wise. I'm curious is if there are healthy lunch meats out there or are they all too processed?
  6. This looks like an older thread - but I just joined - I'm from the Lebanon area. Interested in pretty much anything kinetic including weight training and cardio/hiking.
  7. Wow, it's been a while since I joined a forum. Hey, I'm Gathrightknight (last name is Gathright and wouldn't you know it, it rhymes with knight!) and I'm brand new to Nerd Fitness! I'm 25 and from Pennsylvania in the U.S. Recently I've had a bit of a quarter-life existential crisis where I've lost the most important person in my life due to certain choices I made within the last six months. I've always struggled with commitment to others and myself - usually taking the easy way out. Well, now I'm at a point where I'm trying to better myself - in mind, body, and spirit. This means I want to get stronger physically, make wiser choices and increase my emotional IQ, and I'm also going on a spiritual quest seeking answers to life's questions while figuring out my true purpose. Anyways, since I'm here to better myself - I'm hoping to find some support and accountability on these forums. I've selected Ranger as my class as I want to get stronger but also work on cardio and stamina - to achieve the body I've always wanted while still wearing my nerdy-ness on my sleeve.
