  1. @RESThanks! I figured that starting with really simple, easy goals would be a good idea! Even though I technically have one more day until the challenge officially starts, I"m already implementing these really simple goals. Easy peasy!
  2. @Stribs, Yes! Teachers for the win! Btw, I know that my title, grammatically, should be "Starting Simply"... but, ya know :-)
  3. Hi! I've been lurking on NerdFitness for about two years now. I kinda sorta started with the mindset and workout modules two years ago, and then it just slid by the wayside. I belong to the women's Facebook group, and just stumbled across the forums today. This seems like a cool place! So I'm going to give this four-week challenge a go. I'm 34 and am entering my seventh year of teaching. I currently teach sixth grade Language Arts. I figure that a new school year is a good time to establish some new habits and routines! I love to go hiking and walking, but find it all too easy to just stay inside and watch TV or dick around on the internet instead of being active. I have a few buddies that like to go to the gym. They invite me all the time, and I'll go with them for a few weeks and then something will come up, I'll miss a workout, and then it's hard to get back on track. Sooo... I've set up three seemingly easy goals to do every day of the four-week challenge. I'm trying to follow the rules that if it seems too easy, it's probably just right! I'd like to lose 70 pounds. Yikes! The scale has crept up over the years! Anyway, I've just recently gotten into audiobooks and find that that motivates me to take my dog, Rebel, for a walk and to do some chores around the house. I recently finished "The Handmaid's Tale," "The Hate U Give," and "Calypso." I just started "Ready Player One" and am liking it so far! Except for the way that Wil Wheaton pronounces "poseur." Ick. So, my three goals: 1. 10,000 steps every day 2. At least one plant at every meal 3. Clean something every day Rebel and me:
