  1. Wow, so the past week and a half have really been a pretty big failure. . However, I am determined to finish this week strong! One day at a time
  2. Alrighty, Monday check-in- 1. Still 100% for MuTu Core exercises!!! 2. 71% for my daily walk 3. 57% for 10:00 bedtime 4. Only 25% for my artwork Gah, so I'm really struggling with my artwork... I think because it's not a more defined goal. I think this week I'll make it more specifically "Do artwork for 30 mins"... because mentally I would love to spend the entire afternoon doing it, so in my mind I know I have too much to do to be able to dedicate an afternoon 3x a week. So, by telling myself to just spend 30 mins on it, I will still be able to fit it in. Another GOOD thing from this past week, is that I've noticed a bit more room is some of my shirts! I took a couple pictures, specifically of myself in a dress that I love- but that I don't love how I look in. I have this Epic Quest goal of retrying on some clothes mid-October (before a wedding I'm attending) to see my progress. That 2-month goal has kept me going on days when I just don't feel like walking or doing my core exercises...I really want to look good in my dress!!!
  3. Maybe my Big Why is kinda vain... but I just want to feel good about myself again. I used to take too much pride in my looks, but all pride has vanished after having my kids. And I no longer want that kind of pride. I just want to know that I'm healthy, strong, and enjoy the clothes I love. I want to feel pleased when I look in the mirror and not say "ugh." And I also want my kids to see their mom enjoy life... to be a part of it with them, to show them how to live well!
  4. Hello all! I'm a 33yo stay-at-home mom who loves Harry Potter and Assassin's Creed. I'm a former dancer/athlete who has lost herself a bit after becoming a mom. I love to dance, weightlift, and I yearn to be able to do parkour... but I hate running...so, I"m not sure how that'll work I love NF because I have played those "life" games where you take care of your character and give them goals and help them exercise.. and literally thought, "I wish I could do this for myself" And now I am. I love leveling up through quests and seeing my goals daily. The 4 week challenge has helped reign in and put my thoughts into action. Thrilled to be here with you all! https://www.nerdfitness.com/character/306738
  5. Thanks RogueMom! I finally completed Week 5 of the MuTu system! (there are 12 weeks) Completing each week is a goal on My Epic Quest and in conjunction with other goals I have on there, I got to level up today, woo hoo! I have found between checking up on my quests and checking in on this forum, that it is really encouraging accountability. As for my 4 week challenge...I'm doing alright... not perfect, but better. So far I've done 100% of my core exercises, 90% of my walking, and 50% of my bedtime goal (twice it's been 10:30 vs. 10:00). I only did my artwork on Monday so I need to get it done today!
  6. Thank you That's a great idea! I do need to just pick a time to knock it out and have it in the back of my mind all day. Good luck with your goals today
  7. Fellow Ravenclaw here! (I reread the series every year) Good luck with your goals this month!!!
  8. Hello! Totally out of my element here, don't usually do this sort of online thread type of stuff... but here goes I found this site looking up exercise info on doing weightlifting at home and I totally love the idea of being the "character" that I'm leveling up!!! I am a 33 year old, stay-at-home mom who used to be really fit. After baby #2, I gained about 30 pounds and found out I have diastasis recti (seperated abdomen/weak transverse abdominis), which prevents me from being able to do normal exercises (situps, planks, push-ups). I found the MuTu System to help moms with this issue, but still struggle to motivate myself to do it We recently moved, so I don't really have a strong support community and I'm really hoping Nerd Fitness will help keep me on track with my goals.. So, my big goal is to heal my diastasis recti and lose the extra fat. My challenge goals are: 1. Walk 30 mins every day 2. Do my MuTu Core exercises daily (only takes about 10 mins and little effort) 3. Lights out at 10 p.m. (I'm usually up past 11:30) 4. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday make time for my artwork/lettering (which I would like to be able to sell) So excited about having my goals out there and completing quests!!!
