  1. I honestly thought i would hate it! I was really surprissed! So the end of week two, this week I have: Practiced yoga 3 times - twice at home and once during a class (which i loved! Though it did make me feel really dizzy) So thats a 2 Went to the gym once - 1 point And didn't do any collage work! I have been doing well ith not having wheat IDK if it's helping my IBS though.. i had wheat free rice pasta yesterday and i got so bloatd! Wish i knew what was going on with my body! I had a hard week last week thanks to 2 twilight shifts (4pm to midnight) making me very tired, and i found out i am very aneamic. It does sadden me that i may not have an eating disorder anymore, i clearly still aren't giving my body all the right nutrition! Also, my sister came to visit which was nice, and i met up with some old friends. Hope this week will be better! x
  2. That app looks so cool! i may have to get it! Is it as good as it looks?
  3. Hello So week one has gone already! In short, i went to the gym 4 times (madness!) so that's 3 points, and did yoga 3 times, 2 points. No wheat, i sucked at, but i really think it makes a difference to my body, so i'm going to really try this week! So far, so good I did some of my collage work, though only a little, BUT i did sort out my flat and some work stuff, meaning i have less destrations in my life now, so no excuse!! And i found the hospital i work in has a 24hr library! My course as nothing to do with my job, but no-one will mind! Thank you I used to REALLY be like that. But I am in recovery from bulimia, and having to make myself takes things slower, stop myself from getting disapionted too quickly and keep buggering on, is part of that for me. Also, i just googled king pigeon pose and WOW! That's impressive! I hope i commit myself enough to this to one day achieve such things! Gym-wise, as i've been going with my friend, i've just done what she normally does, which includes just using some of the machines, and also zumba. I thought i would HATE zumba - i am very self-conscious and rubbish at dancing! But i loved it! Will defiantly be going again! Overall, i'm really pleased with what i've achieved so far and feel really hopeful about the coming weeks
  4. Thanks guys!! I love those moments i realise how far i've come, like (TMI) i haven't puked in months. Go me
  5. Hello, Bit of an update Well this first week has been busier than i expected so far! I've recently found out the a friend of a friend lives two doors down from me and goes to my gym, and i plucked up the courage to say i'd join her. Little did i know she goes at least for times a week! I've never been to the gym so often in my life! It's been great to go with someone though I've not done any more yoga or my course than when i last posted, plus i've had wheat. But i'm not disappointed in myself at all. A change takes time, if i try to do everything at once i'll go hell for leather at first, then burn out and give up. i know this from experience! I spent time today cleaning my flat (lost track of time and ended up missing the yoga class! boo). With this done, it wont be playing on my mind when i try to do other things! I've had a few days off work, but i'm back to it tomorrow, wish me luck! So far then, i've got going to the gym sorted, i've found some youtube vids of yoga for no0bs and (by tiding flat) started to eliminate the distractions that stop my from doing my collage work and other productive things.
  6. Yesterday was great: I was on a treadmill with a friend net to me. Her: i'll get off when i've burnt 50 calories Me: i'll get off when i get to a mile Then it hit me, this is HUGE! I focused on the distance, on the actual exercise not the calories!! I'm recovering from an eating disorder, not focusing on cals in HUGE! Then, i went for a picnic with friends. Then they asked my to go to an Indian restaurant for dinner, i went and enjoyed it!
  7. Thanks! My course is a Teaching Assistant diploma, started back before i got my current job, then when i got my job i let it slide. But now i'e only got a few months to complete it so if i want to get it done i need to put more effort in! Well i haven't had much yoga, apart from my mum' dvds and a 'fitness yoga' class i often go to. The classes are fun but very quick so haven't really tought me proper techniques. So i was to get the basics before focusing on any particular area or move. I'm using youtube atm but i've booked myself a place at a 'normal' yoga class on thursday Challenge so far: i've done just over a quarter of an hour of yoga a day ( im liking this lady's vids http://www.youtube.com/user/sadienardini/featured) and i went to the gym with my friend and did zumba today. I have eaten wheat though, but i'm working on it! I did about 60 words of my course, not much but something Really feeling positive about this x
  8. Hi, I think your goal of getting out the house for a bit is brilliant!! Definatly something i need to work on too. Good luck!
  9. Hi there, I really like your goals!! You've given me ideas for the next challenge! I have mental health issues and tend to set over the top goals too. I really like your coring system for food too, go you being vegan! Best of luck!!
  10. Hello I'm new to NF but i think it's great! So, My name's Lyd, i'm 22, vegan and in recovery from bulimia. My stats: Strength [sTR] - 3 Dexterity [DEX] - 2 Stamina [sTA] - 2 Constitution [CON] - 4 Wisdom [WIS] - 2 Charisma [CHA] - 2 Height: 5 foot 4 Weight: 124.3lbs - 8st 12 ish My Challange: ATM, I like the way i eat most of the time, apart from the occasional binge. I go to the gym now and again but i would like to go regularly. I also want to do more yoga. I've done a few videos and gone to a few classes but i want it to be a bigger part of my life. I'm going break the challenge down a bit to keep me motivated by giving myself weekly points - i know what i mean! My fitness goals: 1. Do yoga - everyday - 3 points a week - 3-5 days a week - 2 points a week - 1-2 days - 1 point Depending on the amount of points i get altogether at the end of the challenge, i will add some to Strength, Dexterity and/or Stamina. 2. Go to the gym - 3 times a week - 3 points - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 Again, depending on my end score i will add a couple to strength and stamina 3. No wheat!! I have mild IBS (i got off lightly compared to my sister who has a range of intolerances and stuff) and want to see if this help. I'm no going to score myself as i go along with this, but it i keep it up, or at least put decent effort in i'll give some points to Constitution and Wisdom. Life: - Work on my distance learning course - aiming to get to assignment 5 Right then, Wish my luck!! I'm really glad i found this site and looking forward to getting into this! I better go and do some yoga for today! Lyd x
