  1. 4 mile run this morning for coffee, took the long way there and back. Meal plan made and stuck to, back to paleo. One thing about last week is I am caught up on sleep, 10 hours a night around coughing fits. still up a couple times a night but make up on either side. To do list made and half done. Husband and I watched Hobbit today; My feet have an itch to go out the door and hit the road and my fingers the Itch to read the book again. "You step into the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.
  2. Last weekends adventure was the Local race and it was a blast. Monday was back to normal; morning run plus afternoon WOD. Tuesday I got the day off and that threw off my schedule. Good things that happened were 12in of hair donated to Locks of love and Packed to move out of Navy Lodge to move home. Work out was Flights of stairs x a lot. Wednesday I drove home and came down with cough that night. Entire family has creeping crud that has kept us up coughing till ribs feel like broken. Great welcome home. Needless to say, the remainder of this week was a wash for work outs. I have gotten a ton of cuddle time with the boy in on the plus side. Today was the first time I actually felt better than undead walking. One week to finish strong. Good job to all of you.
  3. Congratulations on recording finish. Is the Eagle Project done or still a work in progress?
  4. Try doing trigger point therapy first with LX ball then retry, this is the only way I can accomplish this stretch/torture.
  5. Clean diet- I need to get rid of liquid calories(yesterday’s Surfin Santa 10miler finishing ciders and ale, Starbuku Mocha and Chai latte accounted for half day's calories) But this is my one weakness I am not sure I can do without. I do relegate it to the weekend. Week days I have gotten a little lax in diet in that I will do a wrap instead of salad or bringing my own lunch. Chinese, Mexican and other lunch out or dinner cravings have also hit my diet hard even though I do normally pick the better choices. This I can change and do without. I am going to prepare lunches and snacks. That is even for the 7hr drive Wednesday, no food cheats. Stretches- have to do them to keep pain free or pain managed, same for shoulder mobility work. LX ball and I are on a love to hate relationship. Yoga it is, I sucked at Yoga-x when I did the p90x through last year. So I will work on a few poses from the site and see if I can do it this year- and next. Physical weakness- Shoulder injury has created severe weakness in right Serras Anterior. Years of PT has not fixed only brought to manageable pretty much as well as can be. But as the 2hr-10 miler(PR half marathons under that time) running yesterday showed, I need to do more sprints. To run faster, you need to run faster.
  6. Crazy man, sounds awesome. What a great way to spend Saturday, Glad to hear the belt is making things better.
  7. @ Nonncreative- I had a blast for most of it, and there were a lot of great costumes. 10mi 1:57:16, way back in the last third. At the 10k mark an hour in I got a side stitch really bad and took a mile walk. This forced me to realize I have not done over an hour run in a many months. I may need to reassess goals and training, but that was going to happen anyway with living on a ship or tropical paradises for the next year. After walking several miles and then spending the rest of the day ensconced in a good book or three at B&N. Today I woke with no aches so i know I have the fitness, but not the speed for endurance races. That means that the Goofy challenge I want to do one day will have to be trained for. Today's work out is stairs while I do laundry and pack stuff into truck to take off for home as soon as I am done with class this week.
  8. Awesome when training takes over and saves your life. I once got hit by a car on my bike and rolled across the top of his hood, the only damage was an awesome cracked helmet. I am so glad that you didn't get hurt and the stomach bug is gone. Keep stong
  9. awesome on the squats. great job on graduating to a bar. Kids are a great way to slow down, or keep you going. Grandma's cookies are the worst temptation, great catch.
  10. Sound like you are having awesome progress and a lot of fun in your workouts. Just when I think my days are hard, I come read yours.
  11. No running this morning because tomorrow I am doing the Surfin Santa 10mi in VA Beach. Lots of study at work with healthy snacks. Cross fit after, then out to get race packet. 14. works outs between studying is the best. Good job on finals, now back to RP? Sometimes flare ups are a chance to work on something else, like more stretching.

  16. You go girl, and keep going. Hope your foot feels better today.
  17. This box is heavy on OLY and is all military or shipyard contractors. I love it and will miss it next week when I move back home for the holidays. It has made this place not so totally bad.
  18. my workouts make me never want to grow up. Or feel like I never will make it past dead to grown up. Lots of foam roller applied to sierras Anterior Muscle to stop disabling pain. Hot applied also. --STRONGER-- Clean 3-3-3-2-2 (55/65/75/85/95) --BETTER-- 10 min. AMRAP (3) 4 Front Squat (55) 3 Wall Walks/ one set then fail so 12sec hand stand 6 Ground to Overhead 3 Wall Walks/ one set then fail so 12sec hand stand
  19. Free lunches are hard to pass up, the way I found was having snacks with me and not wanting to bring them home again. Also going to work full of a great breakfast really helps me resist.
  20. Writing down always seems to help. And having something to write down is motivating as is going back and reading what life was like before.
